1st of all I want to admit that I was wrong. I thought that Portland had a better team than Smith Co. However, I was proven wrong. Smith Co. Congrats to you guys, ya'll deserve it. 2nd of all I want to say that no matter what the final outcome of this game is, both of these teams deserve to be in the final 4, but that is just my opioion. I understand that you folks love these Smith Co. players and I know why. It is because they play with heart. Just like LA plays with heart. Both of these teams play AND WIN soley based upon HEART. I know that every former LA player and every LA fan loves these boys that represent us all. This game will be the best game of the SEASON for me. I know that it will be VERY difficult for LA to win at Smith Co. this late in the playoffs. I am not going to say that LA will win this game because it is a toss up. I certainly hope and pray that LA will win. 3rd of all, I want to say that anyone who gets on here and says that they know that Smith will win because they have "been here before" better check themselves because that has NO significance in this game. Trousdale said the same thing for a week and did it help them? NO!!! This game will be a WAR!! GO HOG-EYE!!!

Ok, where are all the TC fans that have been running thier mouths all week about how "Satterfield will have his boys ready" and "It is virtually impossible to beat Satterfields boys twice in one season" and "this is a different team since the 1st quarter of the LA game." Like I said, I knew that TC was hot but look at thier competion they had played. However, TC did play hard nosed football last night but I expected that. LA is just better. That point is proven with 2 hard fought wins this season over TC. Good luck next season in 1A but you probably won't need it. And everyone needs to quit this crap about how LA can't win the big game. Do you guys realize that every year the teams are different. This LA team can win the big game (although every game is big). I know that I will take some flack from this by TC fans but hey it is obvious that Satterfields arrogance lost you guys the game. Usually he gets away with things like that but NOT LAST NITE! Your offense was moving the ball about 3 yards a carry on us so why not go to overtime with LA? Espically since the LA kicking game was way off. It was a MAJOR MISTAKE! Hate to burst you bubble TC!!! GO HOG-EYE!!!

Yea I want to say good luck to the Owls tonight also. LA will be looking forward to a rematch in the 3rd round with ya'll, that is if we win tonight of course. So good luck to Smith and LA. Wish I could go to ya'lls game too. GO HOG-EYE!!!

To all of you TC fans, it has been fun talking smack this week and I wish it didn't have to end but one of us is going home tonight and the other is moving on to the next round. But no matter what happens, it has been exciting, fun, enjoyable and rewarding having you guys and smith in the same region as LA because, not only were these tough matchups but there is tradition at Hartsville and Carthage. I wish that I could have played against all you guys. There is a much more sense of a rivalry. Although LA and Portland are building a small rivalry. Good luck NEXT SEASON, to TC and Smith Co. BUT Tonight GO HOG-EYE!!

You guys know what, I agree with you on one thing, experience does help in this situation. TC does have the edge in this catagory. That along with other things is the reason this will be a great game tonight. I am sure, in fact I know LA is ready. From what I have seen this season, I think that if LA plays good and doesn't turn the ball over they will win this game. However, if LA puts the ball on the ground and gives TC a short field then TC will probably win. The game will be won on turnovers and field position. Special teams will make a huge difference also. GO HOG-EYE!!!

I have never said anything about this being an easy win for LA. All I am saying is that I think LA will PULL OUT THE WIN in the fourth quarter. I know you guys are on fire, but so is LA (9 wins in row i think). This will be a good battle and yes we all know "satterfield will have his boys ready" and "he will have a trick up his sleeve for LA" and all that. I will be on here win or lose. Do I think that TC can beat LA? Most certatinly! But if LA stays focused like they have been then I think they have a great shot at winning this game. GO HOG-EYE!!!

Trousdale hasn't accepted the earlier loss to LA @ trousdale. Bye the way, LA is not NEW to the playoffs. I think they have missed the playoffs 2 time in the past 10 years or something and last year LA was 7-3 and missed the playoffs. That is the TSSAA's fault for letting in 1-9 teams and not 7-3. But hey, it has been a fun region. Just because LA hasn't won state championships back in the day dosen't mean nothing. That was then and this is now, NEW players at LA and they are ready to exterminate the yellerjackets. GO HOG-EYE!!!

Hey trousdale look at who you have played since the LA game! That is why you are a different team! LA had a let down because they thought they had it won but it won't happen this time. These are the teams you have beat. The only good one is Smith Co. Wake up guys. DeKalb County W 55 7 Smith County W 14 0 Macon County W 49 0 at Upperman W 42 0 Cannon County W 51 20 at Jackson County W 49 6 It is not like you guys beat the New England Patriots or anything. Yes you beat Smith Co. but that is how this region is. Everyone is close. This will be a good game friday but I think LA will win at home!

Nah, they can't possibly get that unlucky. Cats will win as long as they stay focused. But it will be close. Those two Lenoir games that season were the two best i've ever seen at LA! What about you?

If you are a true LA fan then you will know what I am talking about when I say that this game may end up like the Lenoir City Playoff game in 96. 3 Overtimes with a field goal to win 3-0. Except LA will be the victor this time. Yea I see it being that close!!!

I see a REMATCH in Round 3 between LA and Smith Co. or at least that is what I am hoping for. But it will be tough for Smith to get there. Can Portland get revenge? We will see!! Will TC get revenge on LA? We will see!!!

Three way tie between Cates/Vaughn/Colson Cates: Team offensive leader and good stats running and passing Vaughn: Offensive Scoring Powerhouse; Look at the Defensive Stats and you will understand. Colson: Shows a lot of heart; Tough yards runner; makes big hits; all around great player.

IF(and its a big IF), LA plays the way they can, then I will go out on a line and say that the game will not even be close at Halftime. But, that is not reality. Hardly ever does a team play the best they can. So, this game will be much closer. But NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND, LA will take the victory to the 3rd round.

Hey man, I am not stupid. It looks like some other people here agree with me! Hey guys, kevin vaughn was the best high school player i ever played with or saw. He was awsome. He was also one of the toughest guys i know. Good luck to LA. I think that the 97 team is the best to ever play at LA. Just my opinion.

Hey twan, the point is that is one or two guys, and you guys have said nothing about anyone from Smith Co. playing D-1 or even college anywhere, although I am sure there are. All the guys I named played a LA and I could have named more. I didn't even mention whitehouse players or Portland players (except one). You named a player that wasn't even on your team. I give credit to you guys. You beat LA earlier this season even though you have less talent than LA and I respect that. It has nothing to do with LA coaching either, it was one game LA is 9-1. People from LA need to quit trying to blame stuff on coaching. The coaching is good now. About 6 years ago LA had 4 coaches, including the head coach. You may think that this is the most talented team LA has ever had because you know that LA has more talent than Smith Co. but I am here to tell you that LA has had just as much talent in the past. They just played against MORE talent (ie., Whitehouse,Portland) And yes I did play during this time and I never said that my team was "almighty" I know that LA can be the best team in this region this year. They will have another chance to prove it hopefully at Smith Co. in round 3. Good luck to Smith cause I want to see LA smash you like little bugs in the 3rd round. Go HOG-EYE
