  1. If anything the tourney has shown that the oak ridge freshman are far beyod their years. Jared Stephens led the cats in scoring against powell and dowdell is consistently scoring in double digits. our freshman are one of the things that are keeping us alive. Another good accomplishment of jareds is the winning freethrow in the farragut game. you cant really say that they are inexperienced.
  2. we don't need any of that. as a player i would like to say that DB is one of the classiest teams in the state. it is a great rivalry and i know there is no better way for our seniors to end their career at the ship then by beating DB. the entire game players were helping each other up from opposite teams and when Duran Duran went down our entire sidelines took a knee for him. WE have nothing but respect for DB. They are a great football team and "choking" is not something that they do. roll wildcats roll
  3. if caldwell is back then it is possible, but without him they have no offense. they proved that against oak ridge. its gonna be hard either way but if they dont have caldwell they dont gotta chance
  4. i dont know alot about either team. ive never seen them play and ive really dont even know where henry county is.however i do know that the coach of henry county is none other than oak ridge's living legend joe gaddis. he is probably one of the best coaches in high school football. brentwood might win but with gaddis leading the way i think henry co. will give them a run for their money.
  5. thank you rebelron. that was very well put. i think it is fair to say that maryville could compete, but not that they are flat out the best. dont get me wrong they are a very talented football team and always have been. and quarles is an extremely classy coach, one of the best. im glad to kno there are some people with some sense and that can come to an unbiased conclusion.
  6. im sick and tired of hearing people say that maryville is the best team in the state no matter what classififcation. fact of the matter of is that until they get the guts to move up to 5a we wont know. all we can judge it on is the scrimmages and times when they might play 5a schools. when varsity was playin the or vs. maryville scrimmage the score was 16-7. maryville's jv scored antoher td on our jv. no one can say that maryville is the best until they move up and play other classes. so stop bringing this up and making theses tupid threads sayin that they are
  7. one of the biggest questions of the week is can the young secondary of oak ridge handle the passing attack of soddy daisy. we'll find that answer out on friday night, but if i had to take a guess i would say yes. our defensive back have stepped up huge throughout the year. wiht addition of soph. paul bingham and junior danny paris i believe they become a force to be reckoned with. and if our line can put the pressure weve put on the last two weeks then there is not question. oak ridge rolls into the playoffs. roll cats roll
  8. oak ridge will be ready for a huge game on friday night. we had a great practice today woth more enthusiasm that most of our practices lately. i dont see the cats losing at the ship but i dont want to get ahead of myself. we've gotta keep workin hard and keep our focus and we'll be rollin into the playoffs with three straight home games. oak ridge wears down the big soddy front and eventually takes advantage. hard fought but oak ridge on top by ten.
  9. db wins this one big. so big i dont even want to predict a score.
  10. first id like to say that i hope both of the guys are alright and ready for week one of the playoffs becuase like i said before i hope region 2 dominates in the playoffs. but i have to agree that ooltewah is seriously hurting without them. caldwell had 80 yds rushing on us in the first half, but didnt play much at all in the second. outcome: ooltewah had 88 yds of total rushing. the qb completed 1 pass all night for 15 yds. the rushing game wasnt goin witout caldwell so id say it is very possible for farragut to pull it out. however i do think the qb is much better than he played last fri. with the two rbs out i expect him to step up big and help your offense. but if he doesnt yall could be in for a long night. good luck to both teams though. ooltewah- 14 farragut- 10
  11. gradfromthenest we appreciate your congratulations and we also congratulate ooltewah. they played a tough game and didnt give up. i hope caldwell is ok because you'll need him down the stretch and i would like to see region 2 dominate the playoffs. we appreciate the class you've shown and we look forward to seeeing you next year, but who knows we might even see yall again during the playoffs. good luck the rest of the way and go kill farragut. roll cats roll
  12. hats of to the owls. i played in that game and they were a very good football team. their running back, caldwell, is the real deal. he cam fly. good luck to the owls the rest of the way
  13. secondly Ooltewah held an Offense AVG. 38 ppg with an Defense AVG. 9 ppg to 17 and Ooltewah scored 21. this will be a close one and could go either way. bring the A game ooltewahs offense didnt score 21 points. their special teams scored one of the tds they wont be blocking any fgs vs or
  14. farragut- 14 soddy- 16 a low scoring hard fought battle, but the monstrous and physical soddy team pull it out
  15. hey leonard would comment on the ooltewah and oak ridge game? it looks as if it will be exciting. wed like to hear your input.
  16. we havent played soddy yet but farragut played their hearts out against us and proved they deserved all the hype theyve gotten. people didnt think that they were for real. they are hard hitters and extremely good form tacklers. they are probably the best tacklers we've faced yet. as for their offense......it needs a little improvement but their running backs can be amazing when they get in the open. the offensive line needs to give their qb a little more time to throw the ball though. i dont know who to pick right now, but it should be a close one. farragut is a good football team despite what anyone might think. soddy better not get overconfident.
  17. it would be hard for me to pick cc over db. db is a very strong football team this year. duran and lamon are both amazing and their defense is very good. i think it will be closer than most of db's games but i still pick them to be first in that region
  18. hands down region 2 is the number one region. they have the number 3,4,5,6 in the state. if thats no strenght i dont kno what is

    5A Playoffs

i hear alot about riverdale and how good they are. acoording to the latest ap poll db is on the top and riverdale is number 2. while the polls dont mean much they are there for a reason. oak ridge is looking for some payback on db for earlier this year and cant wait to see riverdale again, it might be different this time. but there are still three weeks to play and i know oak ridge wont look over anyone. i agree that the first two rounds shoiuld be uneventful but the 3rd is where the fun begins. roll cats roll
  20. maryvilles offensive line is good but whne they came over to oak ridge early in the summer camp we whooped them. they pretty good but not good enough to be considdred the best. as far as mba goes i havent seen them play so i can comment on them but i do know that oak ridge has been putting up 52 ponts per game and their offensive live is pretty good. anchored by maurice mckinney and center along with jon wilson and eli manning at guards and tyler trent and josh whaley at tackles. they're not the biggest bunch but they have good speed and arent afraid to hit someone. teams playin them the rest of the yway better watch because the potent running game of oak ridge relies on these guys and they tend to get it done
  21. i dont know alot about either team but i do know reiverdales tough. however they're also cocky. lincoln county pulls off the upset at the pit.
  22. im gonna have to say smyrna has a chance. riverdale seems to be very over confident this year sayin that no one in their first 8 games should score on them. correct me if im wrong but cpa put up 28 points on them. riverdale should still pull this one off but it will be closer than they think. ill say 35-28
  23. we can't afford to get a big head but or should roll easily by 40 roll cats roll
