  1. Don't get me wrong Central has a good lil QB but Cody Watts was by far the best QB out there tonight. He was something to watch...
  2. I'm not a Fulton fan nor Central just neutral just give my hones opinion. Last year Fulton would have beat Central in a somewhat close game. Year before last it would have been a very close game but I still would have give the game to Fulton. Last year I watched Central play WB, Maryville (49-10 debacle, how could you even ever ? why Fulton would have beaten them last year after that game) & Powell I watched Fulton play AE (twice), Lenoir City and Anderson Co. They would have had no answer for E. Bishop, he'd been way too strong and able to get way up over Scott, plus they had several other weapons last year. There "D" would have thrown lil Helton around like a rag doll (their de's are as fast as he is)...Central was not all that good last year and by the end of the season Fulton was playing extremely well.
  3. How are thge Pats from Jeff Co. looking this fall. Any news from pre-season scrimmages, will the offense be ok w/ out their star RB
  4. The last three years Fulton would have won this one, sorry to break it to you. Now they would have been good games but Fulton has been better the last three seasons. Now this year early on Central looks ahead of Fulton but remember Fulton is without its best two defenders for the time being.
  5. they won both kicking events, they didn't win the sprints nor the long throw
  6. Offensively I'd agree w/ you but look at who they were playing, Catholic's def. was weak and there first drive should have ended but a penalty kept it going. Not taking anything away from Central b/c they did seem to execute a little better than anyone else. Catholic's "O" moved the ball right down the field on Central for a score also, and looked like they did it with ease
  7. Well said, Wilson is probably a year away from competing night in and night out on varsity. Also agree Syles is not on same level as Wilson. Wilson's ability is few and far between, he is gifted. Both are very good Freshmen
  8. If they continue to progress no doubt both will have a shot be D1. That's if Helton tries to help them get there. I've heard from many many of his former players that Helton does nothing to help his kids get to college. All that talent he's had in the last 10 years and the only one I remember signing major d1 is Cassen Jackson. 3-a Fulton and AE has had more kids sign w/ schools than Central the last few years, that's said w/ all the talent that is at Central. They have had kids as good as Wilson and Styles before that didn't make it but good luck to those two I hope they do make it.
  9. I'll tell you no one is mentioning WB but they could be a darkhorse and finish 3rd or so if things go right. The have talent, their overall offensive backfield is as good as anyone's in this region...
  10. Central, Farragut & Fulton will have top three freshman classes this year in KFL. All three have some very good players.
  11. Good set of scrimmages for the Falcons to get ready for another title run hopefully
  12. Well Clinton is nothing like Central, I know it was either last year or the year before Central beat Clinton like 60 or 70 to 0. Central is loaded each year and this will be one of there better years. Stopping the run is their strength on D usually even though they always have some good db's. I will say it will be a good game based on what you said about Bell but truly I'd be shocked if Central didn't win this.
  13. They return alot of good players, they have some fine athletes. They have a really good RB and a really good qb. There run D should be stout as well. Now the rest is hearsay. Weakness is probably o-line and they are pretty solid everywhere else.
  14. Central will have good frosh class, I certainly would not call it best in years in Knoxville. Fulton frosh class this year has more athletes than Central's but Central does have J. Wilson and he is special...AE should have some pretty good freshman also.
  15. Alcoa will beat this poor team by whatever they want and CAK will be lucky to get on the board. The quote about their speed will hurt them in this game is absurd. Won't even be close at the half.
  16. The only difference between 3-a and 5-a is how many kids attend, its not like the random 5-a athlete is any better than the one that plays in 3-a its just that in 5-a you have a few more to pick from, if you were to combine Fulton & AE you'd only have around 1,700 or so students but I can assure you would have a state title each and every year in both football and basketball in any classification.....
  17. 22 that is impressive, 26 is the youngest I've ever heard of for a hc in h.s. but remember I believe Pat Head summit was only 22 or 23 when she took over the lady vols....i wish him the best
  18. U must have never had the luxury of watching them play. They always have some of the finest athletes around
  19. I agree w/ all but qrt. 4 & 9...I believe Halls beats Webb and CAK definitely gets by King's Academy
  20. If they have less than 60 kids then something is obvoiusly wrong. They have way too many kids in that hallway to not have 60+ players on varsity alone
  21. Very Very well said. Its H.S. football sometimes coaches need reminding of that, you have to be flexible treat each situation on an individual basis not a certain streamline
  22. I read an article online today that said OR is gonig to the air this year. What a genius Stevens is, he's got possibly the best running back in school history and this guy wants to air it out. Don't make excuses saying keeping defenses honest, last year everyone knew Gulmire was going to be getting the ball and they still couldn't stop him. With him you should run, run, run...Just curious on thoughts on this article from the O.R. faithful
  23. So is Shivy at Alcoa or JC? Are JC's #'s as down as some have been saying, if so WHY?
