you are right when coach watkins was there they were competive but mark beal made sure that didnt last.

I give the edge to the Hawks. One of the Eagles coaches has transferred to Rossview, and he knows all of the Eagles secrets. I think he will have Rossview prepared. With this knowledge from a former coach it will be hard for NE to be successful.

The problem with 09 when they rezone, alot of athletes will go to west creek then for 2 to 3 years northeast will have 3a numbers but be playing 4a I cant see things changing for awhile at northeast but good luck to them

Lets just be honest same adminastration same players same region 0 and 10 rezoining next year playing 4a with 3a numbers for at least two years 0 and 20 good luck to coach johnson.

The reason the parents arent complaing is because they have the coaching staff they want now the parents are running the show thats what they want and they have it.

Watkins was the former coach at northeast he resigned at the end of the season I think he was going to be fired if he hadnt though all of the other coaches were asked to turn in their resignations at a later date.

The A.D. at Northeast made a statement today in the paper about hiring a new head coach SHE said they were more concerned about hiring the right person to fit their academic needs and then a coach see all of the other schools have been doing it wrong.

Newsflash the A.D. and principal at northeast just announced that there is no doubt by Oct 1 2008 they will have a coach in place until then parents and anyone else who has a whistle may show up and coach. I really dont think there is anything to worrie about the way i hear it coach chris southerland and 5 coaches he has hired are leading the eagles thru spring practice so i am sure when the new coach takes over when ever that may be he will have a fine tuned machine

Dosent matter who the coach is if the same administration stays in place no one will ever win at northeast bottom line

I think RV wins this game by a bunch just like last year rv is much better and if anything northeast is worst

Thanks Gotgame just wanted to know what you thought. From what i have heard from some fans at Houston Co. it could be a long time before Houston Co. wins another game because they are so young now.

The NW coaches do a good job and criitcizing them for what goes on in a penalty situation is ludicrous. When teams in Clarksville win they are well coached and when they do not the coaches get maligned. Remember the only schools ever rezoned and diluted are NW-Kenwood and NE. This has happened regularly over the past 9 yrs. In addition Clarksville coaches get little of what they request. There are no jr high programs--So dont be too hard on the coaches at NW--they are trying the best they can in some economic situations that border on more problems. David Lipscomb is a fine school with a great tradition----but there is a reason the public schools have voted out the private for yrs now---- because only an idiot would believe it is on level playing ground. I am quite sure you have visited numerous private schools and admired thier special ed and iep programs for disadvantaged kids--oops forgot they dont recruit special ed kids.- Remember it is not the public schools fighting to keep the privates--it is the privates fighting to stay in--.And for all those that can help NW--then please join the coaching ranks and join NW--or any Clarksville HS--because there are always openings --they are just hard to fill because teaching slots are not tied to coaching slots. So coaches at Clarksville schools are really trying the best they can. Go Nw- but go all Clarksvuille schools.I can promise you if Clarksville schools were only playing sports at three schools---we would never have these conversations I bet. But no coaches should be cussing atheletes period--and find that hard to believe--and hope it is not true.

Lets give Harpeth some credit they are a much improved team and i think the coaches from rossview will have their team ready to play so this game will go to rossview.

1newwildcat fan--thanks--had heard several were hurt for chs and did not play in jamboree. CHS will be good fb team with all their starters playing. NW made huge improvements in game against Station camp--hopefully can get on a roll. From reading about Rossview--hear they are loaded and thier coaches talking about state champiuonship--so figure the coaches must know or wouldnt talk in papers like that. Also heard NE best running back left and went there--so that is why I say Rossview by 18. MC is hard nosed and should win. CHs if starters back---and Kenwood looking real good early so should win easy.

Congrats to my Vikings---good start. Whats the word this week--I say my Vikings by 10 Sat, I dont know much about Rossview but heard they are much improved--so will say Rossview over NE by 18. I say Clarksville and Kenwood and MC also win. Whats everyone else think.

I THINK (me) WAS SUPPOSED TO BE (ne) for northeast high school where michael plays he is not the kind of person to say something like that to bring attention to himself. He needs to have a great year for northeast or it will be a long year for them playng in 5a good luck to the eagles.

Northwest is young this year but they should be able to compete. Clarksville high will be very competive since they have moved down to 4a they have some key players to replace from last year but they should be able to do that and make the playoffs.Kenwood was much improve last year and looks to make a push to the playoffs. Rossview is still young and maybe a year away but they will be improved. Northeast lost several seniors and moved up to 5a so it could be a long season for them.

How come northwest is not playing northeast this year?
