  1. Thats an easy one. Kyler Burke and Blake Mcdade of Ooltewah. What a duo! These guys are warriors!
  2. Hey Tribe, You called that game boring? Ooltewah hit yall in the mouth....literally. Ive never seen so many hard hits in one game. And the reason why the crowd wasn't into the game was because DB has not played a team like Ooltewah. DB fans didnt know what hit em when Ooltewah came out with so much intensity. Besides, Ooltewah doesnt just have one good player. Yall stopped Caldwell and we still threw all over your secondary. Yall made Woods look good for once. And you say 11-0 and 4 to go? Well its going to be a LONG 4 games to go for you and DB, buddie!
  3. Caldwell has to have a huge rushing game inorder for the Owls to have a chance but with a injured hip, I just dont see Ooltewah winning this game much less keeping it close. 2 reasons, #1 Ooltewahs failure to throw the ball consistantly and with 2 injured runningbacks that are not 100%. DB wins this game 42-14.
  4. Not so fast my friend....Do you really expect Ooltewah to win a state championship with a quarterback like Zach Woods? Zach Woods has completed an embarrasing 16% of his passes with 4 INTS in the past 2 games. Ooltewah definately needs a new quarterback.
  5. I went to the Father Ryan and Baylor game last week and I was impressed with Baylors marge of victory. Yet, I dont think Baylor will win this one. MBA should take it to the Raiders pretty badly.

    best team (freshman)

Okay now listen up, The top 2 freshman teams in Region 5-A football are Ooltewah and Farragut. And yes they did play in the Freshman Championship last Saturday in McMinn. Coming into the game both teams were undefeated. Unfortunately, Farraguts explosive offensive line, excellent running game, and flawless defense gave the Admirals a win, winning the game 26-14. Although Ooltewah suffered a heart breaking loss, they averaged 31 points a game and allowing a stunning 8 pts a game in 9 games (including Jamboree). This Freshmen class has tons of speed and loads of talent. Everyone should look forward to this class and the upcoming season!
  7. I would watch out for upcoming quarterback Connor Pepping. He has a powerful arm and great accuracy. The only thing that may keep him from being a star is his ability to read his second and third reciever. There are times when he panics when his #1 guy is covered and he decides to run with it. Yet, he is still one heck of a qb and you may see him in action next season.

    Dwayne Caldwell

Riggs plays with the Tennessee Volunteers and is second on the depth chart behind Cedric Houston. I thought everyone knew that? Guess people don't read the paper like they use to or read the internet?
  9. Ooltewah freshman team is way solid! Led by quarterback Connor Pepping and running back Brian Marshall the offense is explosive. Brian Marshall scored 6 touchdowns in one game last season as an 8th grader. Connor Pepping was believed to be the best middle school quarterback in Hamilton County. Not to mention, Ryne Shumaker with great hands and quickness will also be a factor in the game(another all county star). With a very talented defense the Owls will prevail in this game! Labor Day 04 at 6 PM. The owls will be ready!
  10. O come on thats an easy question! Without a doubt, its DEWAYNE CALDWELL of Ooltewah High. You can talk about how a RB ran 1200 yds or more in a season all you want, but this guy has almost half of that in 2 games! In the season opener against Red Bank, Caldwell ran for 200 yds. Then the first half was over. At the end of the night he ran for 295 yds on 31 carrys with 3 TDs. He averaged 9.4 yds a carry. Last week against East Ridge, he ran for 230+ yds and only scored once. His footing was a factor. Im anxious to see what he has against McMinn Co., Soddy, and Oak Ridge.Watch Out for Caldwell and the Ooltewah Owls!
