  1. The Journey General Gatewood and his hungry owls are looking for their next prey. In week One they marched into Red Bank on a dark foggy night looking for the once mighty lions and found only a few cubs in their den which wasn’t enough for the Old James County Legion. Week two some hyped up East Ridge pioneers decided to march their air wagons into the Nest to lay their claim after their thumping of the Bears in their first test. But they found out quickly that the Owls Nest wasn’t as peaceful as they thought when disturbed and ran home crying to their mommas. Week Three a band of McMinn County Cherokee warriors tried to sneak into the Nest only to find the Owls ready and looking for a good fight, the only problem they thought they were warriors and found that they were only big talking pups which angered Gatewoods Owls and sent them back on I-75 trail to Athens with their tails between their legs. Week Four Gatewood and his troops from Ooltewah raged war on their Purple boarder rivals and found that the PUDS from Chattanooga Central ready to knock off the 6th ranked team in the state. The Puds did everything that they could to stop one of the fiercest Owls in Gatewood’s arsenal only to find out these birds can air it out just as good than knocking their foes in the nose. The PUDS picked their poison and paid the ultimate price. Week Five the Governors from William Blount heard there were some rowdy Owls in Ooltewah so they sent a few Marshall’s to take care of the situation but would be held up by a storm named Ivan that had flooded their path. They should have just stayed put because once they arrived in Ooltewah they found that the Owls were rowdy, and fiercer than the storm Ivan during the battle the Owls captured one of the Governors leaders so they brought him to their Commander, General Gatewood which he then offered a truce halfway through the battle but they did not except the terms and conditions so he then ordered his troops to destroy them and so they did. After the conflict the Owls posted signs on all their boarders and this is what it reads. (Don’t mess with the NEST) with exception of the border between PUDLAND and Ooltewah it is written in Red and has a picture so our Purple PUD rivals can understand it.

  5. David Brainerd and Grace Baptist
  6. What about Deshaun Shoyadige He was a player
  7. I believe we were talking just about Chattanooga not Marion, Sequachie, Catoosa, Walker, Bradley, Rhea, Grundy, or McMinn Counties.
  8. Brainerd, UTC, and Miami Dolphins ranked in the top ten athletes ever to come out of Chattanooga.
  9. Back in the 80's and 90's a lot of teams were using the wing T offence and some are still using it. this is a good formation but with my experience the way to beat this offence defensively is penetration to disrupt the play in the backfield. What are other teams running these days to spread out the field. High School football only throw the football 5 to 10 times a game knowing this why do a lot of schools continue to run defensive sets expecting the pass on every down.
  10. Best O and Best D set for HS Football?????
  11. That’s what Riverdale thought about Red Bank and look what happened. Your Riverdale team is giving up to many points vs. the Riverdale teams of the past. They need to strengthen the D because the East is coming for you. Were going to knock you in the nose and make you like it. Riverdale needs to get their selves in a real region like Region 2 5A now this is football at its best because no matter the record one of our teams can knock off the other. Look at all the State Title the East has won using the top 10 teams East has won 35 so how you like them apples.
  12. I know the Bullock twins mother and both of them wanted to go to UT but Tennessee thought their grades were not up to snuff and believed that they could not pass the test and gave out all their scholarships elsewhere. I love the Vols but I agree they need to start recruiting more players from Tennessee because they will take more pride by wearing the big orange. UTC needs to start taking notes on MTSU and Memphis and become Div I someday. UTC can pull some great athletes from NW Georgia and North Alabama as well as Tennessee. Tennessee DB’s are great athletes but I believe if we go after great athletic DB’s from Tennessee the will be more physical type players that we have been missing for so many years. I think Tennessee weakest point on the team and teams from the past would be the defensive Backfield. Run Defense is great and always is. Offense is great at times with exception of playing a quarterback that I believe there where better QB’s on the sidelines.
  13. 5A DB they do not have anymore test left but I could be wrong Ooltewah or Soddy Daisy Ooltewah and Soddy Daisy still have Oak Ridge and Faragut left all are undefeated in 5A Region 2 with exception of Oak Ridge that lost to DB 48 -31 last week.
  14. Action speaks louder than words. The truth hurts and I am sorry I hurt your feelings, but you do have to admit that MCHS did and would run up the score if given the chance.
  15. MCHS 1 -4 this year we still have you beat 3 -7 last year. We were young last year with mostly so. playing that are now jr's. and I believe our freshman class let it rip on your boys. So it looks like MCHS will be down for at least for four more years welcome to the down side of life guys and payback time for the years when you would run up the score.
  16. game has been moved to week 11 sorry guys no football tonight.
  17. who cares about the no game cocks. j/k
  18. Tennessee fan just fits the kid. Well it should be Oaklahoma State cowboys hint the number 20. He is the same size, speed, style of runner and we just might see this kid play on sat and sun for a time to come.
  19. Ooltewah 24 William Blount 10 Lower scoring game due to the wrath of Ivan but Ivan cant stop the rambling wreck Dewayne Caldwell for Ooltewah. Caldwell will rush for 210 yds and the bruiser Marcus Williams with 80 yards rushing tonight. Bring it on Blount boys.
  20. McCallie at their current location was the Old Central High I know this for a fact because my father played for their cross town rival at the time City High School which is now Arts and Science this was in the forties. Public Schools need to be reformed in Hamilton County each student should have the same curriculum as a private school for those students who want to excel. They use our tax payers dollars poorly in my book and the teachers don’t get paid enough for their good work that they do each and everyday. We have too many fat cows that want, want, want and can’t even make par. The top dogs need to quit given their selves bonus and increasing their salaries while our teachers can’t make their own house payments at times. Spread the wealth and you may see a change. One word to everyone VOTE.
  21. McCallie tradition started because they are the old Chattanooga Central and if anyone had started it they did. My brother went to McCallie and I am not downing the private school I just believe out of all the public school systems they have hurt Ooltewah the most. Yes you do get an excellent education and its where are you going to college vs. a public school are you going to college. With the success Ooltewah has been having I believe a lot of parents will forgo the 15,000.00 per year and send their sons to Ooltewah in the future. Boyd Buchanan has started taken some good athletes because it’s half the price of Baylor or McCallie. I was not the first baseman I played center field and pitched.
  22. Check the history on McCallies opening day in their new stadium we beat them 27 to 3 they should have changed the name to Ooltewah second home. Most of the guys we played against we had played together at East Brainerd and if I am not mistaken that would be zoned Ooltewah. Bradley won the state that year and we had beaten them twice only to lose in the region finals on routine play that our first basemen missed a perfect thrown ball from our ss Kenneth Kimbral. What team we could have had if they those EBYA boys just stuck out with Ooltewah that also goes for Ooltewah football. The score was in the twenties but I do know for a fact that McCallie only had 3. East Brainerd Chip Harris Trip Ballard Brian Hoss Josh Noblitt Mickey ? Kevin Murray George Cooper David Monen Denis Cook Just to name a few.
