  1. Chad is a great player and probably the best to actually go on and play, but the best all around football player to come out of Westview or this state for that matter was Nick Hampton. The boy had it all and still does...just wish he'd put it to use. Anyone who ever played w/ him or even watched him play would have a hard time arguing his ability
  2. Well I agree Milan throws and runs very well, but dont forget about Westviews Hill and Laney. Hill has run for over 1,000 yards, again, and Laney has thrown for more than 1,000 to a very good recieving core. Considering their lack of depth and experience on the o line and almost everywhere else for that matter, I think Westview has done a fine job this year. Good luck to both teams this weekend. Guys I do smell one thing though.... an upset! [Edited by chargerman4 on 11-11-02 2:40P]
  3. Awesome rivalry here guys... Westview 27 UC 13
  4. I would really like to know why you listed Goodpasture and Lipscomb as cheaters. I can't speak for Lipscomb, but I know for a fact that Goodpasture does not cheat. After playing 4 years there and winning a state title while being there, I can testify that there was never any cheating involved. I'm sorry if you have to resort to tactics like calling them cheaters just so you feel better when you can't compete with them. Ok I know nightrain is from huntingdon and they are our rivals, but I have to agree with him. Goodpasture bounces back and forth between public and private divisions like a basketball on game day. When they need to recruit more players they go to the private school ranks for a few years and when theyre ready to come back to the publics schools they just cry to the tssaa that they have to drive to far for reigon games. It's ridiculous and should be stopped. They should stay in one or the other. Westview played them pretty good last year considering they were just a bunch of country boys from West TN and not some of the best Recruited athletes in the state. Go Westview and Good Luck to all of the rest of the West TN teams [Edited by chargerman4 on 10-9-02 4:15P] [Edited by chargerman4 on 10-9-02 4:16P]
  5. ok this statement is coming from a guy whos coaches made Westview move theyre game to Sat 2 weeks ago b/c they didnt want them tearing up the field ok this statement is coming from a guy whos coaches made Westview move theyre game to Sat 2 weeks ago b/c they didnt want them tearing up the filed [Edited by chargerman4 on 10-2-02 6:47P] [Edited by chargerman4 on 10-2-02 6:48P]
  6. Anyone know his definite status for this week? Also what D1 schools have offered, showed intrest?
  7. Good Luck to all the Westview players and coaching staff... beat those stangs
  8. Well since no one in this thread is picking the knights from Westview.... I will have to go with my home town boys. If history has anything to say about this game, the Chargers will come out the victor. Westview has owned the Mustangs in the regular season, with Huntingdon having a slight edge in the playoffs. So since we're still only at week 5..... Westview 24 Huntingdon 21 [Edited by chargerman4 on 9-25-02 2:22P]
  9. Who ended up winning this game coacht?
  10. I think it will be a good game between two big rivals.. but Westview owns Huntingdon in the regular season... Westview by 10
  11. if you remember this happened before w/ Westview Humboldt. During the 96 campaign when I was a freshman.. the only two games I ever remember being rained out [Edited by chargerman4 on 9-20-02 3:15P]
  12. Definitely Westview will be a winner. They looked very sharp last week even considering theyre competition. Although giving up over 300 yards passing does scare this martin boy just a bit. I guess when you throw almost every down as did Memphis Southside, you have to complete a few of 'em. They had 7 ints to counter all those yards though. Westview 41 Humboldt 7 ...... Good Luck Chargers
  13. I think I have to agree with you guy, all of those picks look like the winners to me
  14. I know one thing Rafeal Hill surpassed the 5,000 yard mark for his career and had 5 td's. Andrew Laney threw well. 7-11 164 3td's. Great game Chargers! [Edited by chargerman4 on 9-14-02 11:10A]
  15. Ok he was the total package. Nick Hampton, from Martin Westview 1995-1997 had speed , power , and vision. I would rather have the ball in his hands than anyone I have ever watched. Just ask the folks in milan about that..... '97 he ran a screen pass 70 yards for a last second winning touchdown. Didnt play his senior year b/c of academics and still made AP honorable mention all state that season? How can u top that? [Edited by chargerman4 on 9-5-02 2:32P]

    west tn week 2

Its gonna be a close one but I have to go with my boys Wetview 31 Milan 28
  17. Is Haywood really favored in this matchup? That has to be a misprint
  18. Not that Im taking up for Huntingdon, beacause I'd rather be shot in the foot, but Jamborees really have no play on wether or not a team will do well in a season. Coaches rarely showcase everything they have in 2 quarters of a Jamboree.
  19. yea it was good all except that wr on Westviews team I think he was #2 , he was sorry !! j/k ######
  20. so far Laney is going both ways I believe along w/ most of the rest of the team. They looked pretty good at camp. And for all u whs coaches reading this you know that I love that new Offense! Go Chargers!
  21. ok vol man i'll check him out. What class is he? fr, sr? Good luck to ya'll at the scrimmage
  22. I salute you coacht , for the simple fact that if you didnt have this website , I wouldnt own a computer! You rock!
