I guess everyone besides SC and DC fans thinks this is real funny about the game being moved to Tech. I know if I was a coach I would want my team to play in the best conditions. Poteete is one of the best QB's to come along in a while. I would think that everyone involved with DC football would want him to be at his best come friday night. It's not going to happen in a mud fest but could on a good track.

Agree with scooter about the safety of the players. That should be the number one priority. And add the fact that these 2 teams will be able to showcase their talents on a playable field. This game probably wouldn't be worth watching if played in the mud. I wouldn't entertain the thought of going to SC and watching the game (and I have made the trip several times the last 6 yrs). But since it's just down the road I will definitely go watch what should be a real good game.

Is this rumor or a definite plan. Hope it's true would love to see these 2 teams go at it. Haven't seen Dekalb play since the 07 season. Poteete sounds to be the real deal with all he has accomplished this year and last year.

Agree jangel. This will be the biggest game thus far for the Owls. A loss by either team could all but spell doom for their play-off chances. Should be an interesting game with plenty of offensive punch. But I think the Owls have 2 big pluses in their favor. 1. THE GAME IS PLAYED IN THE HOLE 2. SC HAS A BETTER DEFENSE

The Cats won't be facing a defense like SC had and should score plenty to beat the Jets.

Agree Barack LA Defense was very impressive against SC, I was surprised that we held them to 10 points.You don't think we will need much Offense against the Jets ??? I think we need to score. Don't think I have ever seen a team win a game without scoring. If you can't score you can't win.

Just a few hours away till the head banging. Should be a great night for football. One of the coaches pulled a good joke on me earlier today. Said that the sprinklers had been on all night and day. I wouldn't think that the SC players need any motivation to get up for any game. Especially something said by a 3rd party on coachT. Hey Chair: I know you are familar with the SC program - last night on Sports Nuts, Coach Maynord was concerned about the size of the line of LA, both offense and defense, and the smoothness of the option LA runs. LA has some physical players with speed. I look for a good game tomorrodw night. Could be a real good game depending on if the Cats can control the clock. In other words keep Johnston and Co. off the field as much as possible. The Owls O can score from anywhere and very quickly. LA can't afford to get in a shootout with the OWLS. I also think a lot of people have slightly overlooked the Owl DEE. Though not big or fast (or should I say small and slow ) they play as a unit and are usually in position to make the play. It's close to game time and I am anxious to see a physical game.

Totally agree midten. This is what football is all about. To be the best you have to play the best. TC has been a powerhouse in football for as long as I can remember. This like you said is a big step for the JC program. I hope that the Blue Devils come away from this game with a bunch of positives. I believe that the program is going in the right direction. Coach Loftis and staff has brought some new fire back into the community. Good luck guys keep working hard and one day Jackson Co. could be among the best around.

Close call it was, but the Owls prevailed at the end of each half to get the WIN. I know that isn't the norm around SC football but sometimes the WIN is good enough. And you guys that were there knows that Gordonsville gave a tremendous effort last friday night. Can't take anything away from them or the game plan by their coaches. The better team won but it wasn't easy by no means.

Look for York to continue their winning ways. Wondering if the Dragons are running the split-back veer or are they running the Wing-T. I'm guessing split-back but could be wrong.

This will be a good measuring stick for the JC football program when they invade the Creekbank in Harstville friday night. The "Bank" is one of the hardest places for the visitors to come out alive much less come away with a win. Good luck to the Blue Devils. Anxious to see how the Devils respond in an hostile enviroment with such a historic football tradition. The road doesn't get any easier for the Blue Devils after they play TC. They host Friendship, @ Gordonsville and then host Monterey and Clay Co. Take one at a time and if every man whips the man across from him every play, good things will happen.

Not much talk about this game like the others in the past. Guess everyone knows what lies ahead. If they don't they will soon. Smith Co. always has a fundamentally sound football team. And this year will be no exception. What little I have seen them play, I have been impressed. I'm afraid the home team will be in for a long night. We just need to keep their offense off the field as much as possible, that will be one of the keys to the game. Because their offense can strike at anytime. Hope for a clean and injury free game.

No I'm not coach. But I'm thinking about trying the other side of the game "officiating".

They say that the biggest improvements are made between week 1 and week 2 so that probably did have something to do with how the game played out. 1-0 is 1-0 no matter how you slice it . Let's just hope the D improves a lot this week or SC will hang 70 on us. Who is they ??? I don't think coach Maynord would beat anybody that bad !!!

Congrats J County on the win last week. What does it look like for the Blue Devils this week ? Don't know anything about about Houston Co. or Community. Is Community a new school ? Good luck to you this week. My favorite # 19 was Johnny U everyone remembers him don't they ?

Agree with the star... speed of AE and talent makes for a dangerous team. However I think the Owls will be a more disciplined team and win.

Barack no way any one to give a certain number, but the Cats have a chance to win in 8 of the games IMO. I think Anderson Co. and SC are 2 games that the Cats have a slim or no chance of winning again MHO. Dekalb will be a hard game as well but the Cats have a chance with them. Macon Co. should be a lot better this year with Goolsby as coach. Wasn't he the pilot of the high flying H2O Tigers. York is always a tough game regardless of the records and with hometown son Dickie Brown coaching, the Dragons will be solid bet on it.The rest the Cats should win if they play to their potential. Just read that Fulton had to forfeit all their games from last year. I guess that gives the Cats 2 wins instead of 1. Personally to me it's still a loss. Don't want anything that I didn't earn and I'm sure most feel the same. King good to hear from you as well. Hey RC! I heard from our ole buddy that the AC program is in turmoil and that we probably have a better shot at beating them than Dekalb. Yeah I believe that Lambert wasn't happy at AC and may have returned to Oneida. But that don't change the fact that they are big and fast. AC and SC scrimmaged in the spring at Tech and it was a head banger. Like I said anything can happen but LA will have their hands full with either one of these teams. I mean how long has it been since we beat SC and AC has pretty much took us to the woodshed 3 out of the last 4 years. Hope I'm wrong, but these 2 teams will be hard games for us to win.
