never said they didn't play G-Ville or FC. Soft schedule is a understatement. I saw the thurs night game TC-FC. If FC could have had anybody to throw and hit a barn they could have won that game but they didn't. And do you think SC couldn't beat those teams TC plays every year in the play-offs. Like I said I would like to see TC play Pearl Cohn they would smash the Jackets like a grape. And everyone that thinks being an 8 seed like PC was makes them a weak team is just plain stupid. Like I said there's not a team around Owl ville that could come close to beating PC. Just hang in their in your lil 1A and 2A dream world and let's hear how big and bad you guys are. LOL

I agree with alot of these fans from other schools. What could SC possibly gain besides a big gate from playing these inferior schools every year?? SC is heads and shoulders above the schools they play every year. They need to schedule Maplewood.Smyrna. Riverdale and the like because every year since Maynord has been at SC they go 7-3 at the worst and come play-off time they get waxed..so these other school fans might be on to something because it's a win -win situation for them to get to play the OWLS. Like Trousdale CO. in reality they are just a good 1A school. Who do they play in the play-offs each year LONSDALE..SISTERS OF THE BLIND and that rugged regular season schedule Pickett CO. with 18 players and 2 of them are girls and that's the truth. G-Ville and FC same boat. So I think they ought to let each school play independently play up not down much like Notre Dame has for yrs. Why would the OWLS play TC -FC-G-Ville they have nothing to gain. I would like to see the mighty Jackets play Pearl Cohn or G-Ville either one you both would get smashed like a grape. LOL

Totally agree with K-21. Fulton is Fulton!!! Like Forrest's' mother said like a box of chocolates...you never know what your going to get playing Fulton. But I know this... Fulton will have Athletes galore and plenty of speed.speed.speed. Swipper said it all IF..LA can play like they have the last 2 games they can win. Know absolutely nothing about Harpeth but well aware of how good PC plays. PC solid on defense and 2 great runners and have a good kicking game. Guess depending on which team shows up for PC, Harpeth definitely has their hands full. PC beat Smith CO. tonight playing a flawless game. SC made several errors that all but cost them the 2nd round. I'll pick PC to advance.

Just wanted to congratulate the SRs and the Owls on a great season. This team was fun to watch. Saw you guys play several games starting against G/Ville and ending tonight. This team got better every week I watched you play. You have nothing to be ashamed of because you left it all on the field. Best of luck in life. Tonight PC was the dangerous team everyone feared that could show up. And unfortunately for the Owls this was the night. Their defense was solid and they had 2 great runners. The only weakness I seen was the QB position and that could or could not be a factor in them reaching Cookeville. Guess we'll see. Read on here where some of you blamed the coaching. It's easy to sit in the stands and critique the coaches. If you have never been a coach then shut up...cause you have no clue. You ever think or did you see the athletes on the field for Pearl Cohn. Defensively they were darn good. And I doubt if your team could even be in the game with PC much less have a chance to win like SC did.

Just like you Big not to familiar with Gibbs. Have done a little research on them. This will be their 6th straight play-off experience. Usually one and done but one year they got beat in the 3rd rd. They have some impressive wins this year with the best being last week ....beat Austin East 14 to 7. Lost to Fulton 7 to 13. So it seems that they are a very capable team. I hope our kids don't over-look Gibbs because they seem to be a pretty good team. The winner will travel to Fulton next week. I think they will win there first game against Stone. Then the winner will more than likely catch Greenville College lol. So it's a hard way to go but anything is possible. Rem 05 team they won all their games on the road.

I agree with imallin....you will have to face a team like PC sooner or later just happens to be sooner. PC is a very dangerous team no doubt but they better play a very disciplined game or they can get ready for round ball.

ok thanks twan-scooter congrats on an excellent year thus far. Looks like you guys will be pounding the rock again tonight and controlling the clock. Good luck in the play-offs regardless who you catch first round. I'll try and get down hopefully this will be the year that you guys reach the big dance and then it's a ballgame. I hope that Jimmy can win the big one this time around. He sure has had some good teams down at Owl-ville and this team could very well be the one to win it all. Don't know how much the weather factor will be tonight but if it's a wet field give the advantage to LA especially if B-rock plays. From what I can gather Dekalb is a passing team and relies on the pass. If there unable to throw then LA has a big advantage. What puzzles me is how did they score 30 on Smith CO. Surely they didn't run on them. LA 28-Dekalb 14

I think the back-up in question was the one that played last week when McCoin went down. There was one that stayed in the hospital overnight and played against Smith CO. on defense. Can't remember the kids name but he was advised to quit football for fear that if hit in the head again could cause major problems. Qualls was the back-up that played the second half last week against Macon Co. Don't think he got a concussion but could be wrong. If McCoin don't play then it will probably be a good thumping just like last week. Without him LA won't muster much.

Howdoitknow what if PC loses will they play Smith Co. round 1 ? Also good luck to the Cubs are they for sure in or will this friday;s game determine that ?

Have heard but probably just plain ole gossip that at half time of the LA and MC game Brock McCoin was done for the year. Now that's just a rumor I heard... but if I was a betting man I say he will play ...book that. It's a mystery to me what could have possibly happen to him between end of the first half when LA blocked a field goal on the last play of the half and who other than Brock came out of nowhere and raced down the field 99 yards for a TD but was called back because the refs said the ball went into the end zone. Surely he didn't get hit in the head at half time did he ? But he comes out with no shoulder pads to start the second half and in comes the back up QB to finish the game. Mystery Mystery

Yes...The Owls are definitely the better team hands down but they will still need to stay focused and TC of Business. The Dragons are no where near the team they were the past few years. But give Dickie time and York will be back. The Owls have just to many weapons IMHO. If the Owls come in to this game like I have seen then do several times the last 10 or 11 years hopefully the kids in the wings will get alot of PT. And I see no reason why they shouldn't because Jimmy and staff have always seen that the team never over looks any opponent. Am I looking at the play-off schedule right. Will SC catch Pearl Cohn their first game. It doesn't really matter but PC is a very dangerous team and I know you Owl fans know that as good as anybody. Guess being 1 or 2 in the state don't carry much weight.

Yeah MC has had the weapons all year it just took the last part of the season to get it to come out. Hopefully they can get in because there are several teams that wouldn't want to play them right now. Yes McCoin got hurt but I never seen what happened. Hope he is ok. The Cats were only down 12 to 0 at that point. But with 50% of your offense on the sideline the outcome was evident.

I watched the game and the only thing that confused LA was getting it took to them. MC played like a team on a mission. Guess that's the difference when one team needs to win and the other team is already in the play-offs. Either way MC whipped our tails all night.

Is Jackie Kelly still head coach at Westmoreland ? Always thought he was a good coach. I saw the LA at Macon Co. game last night and the Tigers played like the team everyone thought they could be. Don't know their play-off chances but they will need to win at Westy this fri to even have a chance. Hopefully it's not to late for MC to get in. I know this.. they will definitely be bringing it next week!!
