  1. Yes I'm doing ok twan thanks for asking. Hope to see you soon. Yes the Dragons from what I can gather are a young team. Have took it on the chin several times this year. But that's what makes this game even tougher for the Cats. It's easy for a team to get complacent. Just hope the Cats can stay focused because York will come down here with a nothing to lose mentality. And Dickie will pull out all the stops. IMO Dickie can get more out of a team with the lesser talent than any coach I know. And he may not have enough this time but don't count the Dragons out.
  2. The Dragons come into LA with a 2 and 5 worksheet while the Cats have ran their record to 6 and 1 with a big win over White House friday night. But that don't mean much when these 2 get together. In 06 LA's only win of the season came against York by a score of 13 to 12. York receiver was wide open and dropped the 2 pt conversion. In 07 the Dragons pounded the Cats 33 to 0. 08 York escaped with a 28 to 21 win. In 09 LA wins 12 to 6 and 2010 LA wins by a 7 to 0 score. So can the Dragons and coach Dickie Brown pull the upset ? Let's hear your comments.
  3. Yes and I think MC can and will run the ball on Dekalb.
  4. LA is facing only their second test thus far this season when WH rolls in to town Friday night. The first 5 out of 6 they played were . WH has a good football tradition and will be a good test for the Cats. However I think LA can win if they control the LOS on both sides. LA has the some of the best position players in the mid-state in McCoin...Hayes...and all the receiving corp. It's just a matter if we play good defense and line play down in the trenches. A good hard-nosed defense will win many games. WH is a well coached team. You don't win as many games as they have over the years and not have good coaching. They won't come in here and lay down. It will be a dog fight till the end and you can book that. Can our guys play with the same intensity ?? Haven't heard anything about Reagan...will he be playing friday ???
  5. My 2 cents worth says that Macon is a better team that most of you think. It doesn't matter if they lost to the sister's of the blind...Friday night and Dekalb Co. is all that matters. And I honestly think MC will win. Been wrong before and will be many more times. I guess the reason I think they win is because of the coaching. Pemberton is a proven winner and Dekalb is no Fulton or Austin East but who is around here.
  6. What ever it takes to win would be the main objective. Stop doing what's been successful would be crazy. Not saying that throwing the ball every down the Tigers could have won those games but it could of loosened their run Defense. Just saying
  7. Haven't seen Dekalb play this year so I know nothing much about them but what I hear. I know they put several points on the board but their Defense gives up several too. I saw MC play SC and was really impressed with their QB and WR. I believe their run game which was non existent against SC will play a key role in the game. MC has some good runners and will exploit the Dekalb Defense. It's going to come down to which team plays the best Defense. And I think MC has the best. Coaching IMO favors MC as well. Also throw in that the game is in Lafayette and that to me is to many obstacles for Dekalb to over-come.
  8. Julio must be setting across from the home stands and thinking just how special the Bees football program really is among the best anywhere. But picking them to beat the Owls is pretty darn funny. Hahahaahahahahahahhaha
  9. If the field is wet which team gains the most advantage ? GO OWLS
  10. Want to see this game you got plans !!!!
  11. I've always been a Maynord fan since way back in the day when we were teammates in football..basketball..and baseball. Just so happens he coaches at SC. Also know Mark too we all three were teammates at Tech. We also played with one of the best guys and players from LaFayette...Mark Schrum.
  12. Apparently you didn't see Cates play. One of the best athletes that I have ever seen play. That team was built around him. The 04 team which many believe to be better than the 05 team missed out on a perfect season.... was grounded by the mighty Owls of SC WITH 2 LOSSES. Back to the game....wonder if this game ranks up there with the LA game .....as far as winning one for the gipper. Jimmy's teams are 10 and 0 against LA since 01 and 8 and 3 against the Tigers since 01. 03 against Pemberton 2 of those came against Catholic. 0 and 1 against Macon. Hard pill to swallow knowing that Macon beat you. But this should be the year to take back the dominance that SC has over the Tiggers.
  13. OK call it what you want but like Termite said they had to get lucky 5 times and thats not a fluke. LA played the toughest schedule in any class. Beat Carter on the road..beat AE on the road...beat Catholic on the road..beat ND at home and won GOLD by beating DL. Compared to your 03 run you all won 3 at home and we smacked by Fulton in the semi's. Big difference wouldn't you say.
  14. Come-on man surely your smarter than that if the wind hadn't been blowing 90 mph he couldn't of made it from that distance. You make it sound like he kicked from 50 all year long. If he was that good we would have seen him kicking on sunday 4 somebody. BTW whatever happened to him ....he go on to college and kick ???
  15. Yeah your right the 45 to 12 Catholic win, I believe SC was leading 12 to 0 and just fell apart. The 23 to 6 score was really close until the late 4th Catholic scored a couple to pull away. Your also right that you don't need it to play SC but you might need more than you think. After all since 01 Macon has won 3 times and 2 of those was in 03 you know when the wind was blowing 90 mph and you all kicked a 50 yarder to win in the play-offs (FLUKE). SC defense will be the difference in this game. Play good win big..play fair win in a close one. Just win baby
  16. From his posts he seems to be a MCHS TIGER FAN.
  17. I didn't see that game last year but I don't think Mark has the weapons he had while at Catholic and SC played them pretty close the 2 yrs they played. If SC can't beat Macon then it's their own fault. Haven't seen Macon play but I know Mark and what he brings to the table as a coach. He is a good coach and man. The Tiger players don't have their own personal trainers do they ? Look out if they do!!!Going with SC at home.
  18. I don't need any luck LG. But I like SC's chances if all they have to do is stop 3 players.
  19. I,ve been preaching that for years at LA but no-one seems to grasp the concept. You have to put a helmet on the TE with DE or LB. You can't let him VEER RELEASE untouched whether he is blocking or running a pattern. Just a split second being held up allows the Mike LB a chance to react on a running play and the safety or off side LB a chance to pick him up on a pass play.
  20. About the only way SC doesn't win this game is if the Owls don't show up. And from past history I don't see that happening. Seems like the Owl offense is getting the bugs worked out each week. And their DEFENSE is very solid and very disiplined..something you have to have in order to be successful. Their defense will win alot of games for them when their offense struggles. GO OWLS
