  1. Lewis Co. by a bunch then they get beat by HC next week. The first game was a mirage. I don't miss in the playoffs. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. What really cracks me up is Camden people telling people your playing "real 2A football now". Like you folks are some kind of powerhouse. Give it a couple of years and you'll be back in the toilet. Ward is a good coach, but he got to Camden at a good time. This happens in camden once every century so enjoy!!!! Fame is fleeting.
  3. Yeah, and whne they tell Swenson they better tell Martin from goodpasture, and McAdams from Lipscomb. What an idiot post. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. Hickman County wins by 14. Too much speed for LC. This will be a big statement game.
  5. Don't play tough competition? They beat Lawrence Co. (4A) who played giles co. to within one point, beat stratford and beat spring hill. They beat Marshall Co. who is currently ranked 8th in 3A and haven't been beat since that night. Along the way knocking off undefeated and 5A columbia. So yes, they've played up and played teams with athletes. IMO they are the unknown and the darkhorse of 2A. I've said that since day one and i'll stick by it. Don Haney, let us know what you think after seeing them vs. LC next week. I wish I could be there. No, but 4A has a heck of alot better athletes top to bottom.
  6. Marshall Co. would beat westview, milan, camden, and Huntingdon as bad as they wanted to. West Tn 2A is down this year.MC traditionally has great athletes (see hightower) and i'm assuming the same is true this year. I came to this conclusion after testing my hypothesis by surveying the scores of like and said teams played since game one. According to information gathered I forsee MC going deep. These were not based off assumption, I used a strict scientific model unlike yourself.
  7. Do they change the rules or something in the playoffs? You watch too much tv.
  8. Who is tough in region 72A besides Camden and Huntingdon? I'll guarantee Marshall Co. would beat any of those listed above. I don't see much difference between the best in region 6,7 or 8 from the one and two position. Goodpastures 3-5A oppenents not what they usually are and David L. is overrated IMO and will be beat by Marshall Co. I have suspicions that Goodpasture in overrated as well.
  9. I couldn't have said it better myself.
  10. What???? You said the opposite just last week! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I agree with rcombs, just win and the poles mean squat. Until waverly learns to quit making excuses, which seems to be rampant on here, expect mediocrity for awhile.
  11. Wait a minute...it wasn't a week ago you people on here were crying about HC playing with 4A athletes...man what a bunch of creampuffs. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" HC has a very good team. I've said it since seeing them in the Jamboree, they will make a deep run if they stay healthy. I haven't seen ANYBODY in west tn. any better IMO. I consider Goodpasture as east tn. I would put them as number four or 5 in 2A. The old "no experience in the playoffs" excuse..... now thats a moronic statement. They can take that experience from their coaching staff i'm sure.
  12. Soft schedule? Lewis Co. has a soft schedule...not hc. Thats all presumption on marshall. HC might beat them worse. One dimensional....seems i've heard that before in another time and another place. I grew to like one dimensional. Its a vicious attack that you have to see to believe.
  13. In my opinion it was the most amazing playcalled game i'd ever seen just to stay in the game so i'll politely disagree with you there. I'd rather have back the fourth down and 50 td completion to Warren and the 3rd down and 30 conversion by alcoa. How many points did we score in that game anyway. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  14. Sounds like its the other way around to me. I don't see Hickman Co. folks on here antagonizing the LC. It'll be one whale of a game though don't you think?
  15. Looking at your Fairview score, their probably looking forward to meeting you too. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it may toll for thee......
  16. Someone from Hickman Co. would have to answer this but seems to me coach said they have six seniors on this years team. In the small rural school called Huntingdon we have less than 400 kids in school and usually have over 50 out for football. Your number thing is absolute nonsense and its an excuse. Now lets hear some more, just as I predicted.
  17. Your kidding me. There is absolutely no comparison, none, zero, nadda. And just exactly what are 4A like junior and senior numbers? Man, I bet they would have alot rather played Hillsboro than DCA. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" I've never seen people make excuses for getting it handed to them like I have the teams that are getting beat by Hickman Co. The same team that everyone wanted on their schedule. I remember when someone on here predicted they would be no better in 2A since they still hadn't beat Fairview. I'm pretty sure this was planned. It took three years and i'll bet those kids worked their butts off to get to this point. Plus they survived a split which took half the kids leaving them half the enrollment. So your excuses are hilarious, and i'm sure before the end of the season there will be more.
  18. Uhhhh, if you haven't seen them yet you may be surprised just how much they do compare.
  19. Hickman Co. looked good. Much faster than I expected.
  20. Two things you can count on: 1. He'll be in the wing t 2. The ball will be run on the ground. We always said: he runs to set up the run. MC sounds impressive. I'd guess they'll definitely have an advantage in the speed category which is always huge.
  21. Very interesting situation in Troy. I believe the principal is a former basketball coach here in Huntingdon. Obion always seems to lose their head coaches to greener pastures. They have the facilities, enough coaches, more than one feeder program, etc. but they still seem to be missing something........oh yeah, speed. Thats a tough region for any coach to be in with the athletes you'll face every friday night plus their non region is absolutely insane. If driggers is a first year coach he's gonna get a trial by fire. I don't think the administration can be blamed for Obions mediocrity. I'm sure alot of good coaches were turned off by the need to hire a county wide athletic director to keep the booster clubs in check. Now, they can say he was hired to be a medium between coaches and admin. but thats horsepoop. One quick question though....... How many people applied for this position?
  22. Exactly. Flatt had not coached a game at MC but you would think a deity had already been there. Fans were pumped and anybody coming in behind him (although he's unproven in the public school arena) were going to be compared to the winningest coach in tn. He even talked you folks into building a new fieldhouse! They had the right guy before flatt, but after courting flatt for two weeks and basically making the next choice chopped liver they killed theirself.
  23. You probably won't find many folks who will throw in with you on this record thing. you may need to do a little more research about the man and what he's done for the schools he's been at.
  24. If he comes back across the river it will be more inland.
  25. Moore Co. might be a perfect fit for him. If the place loves their football and its a priority i'd say yes.
