  1. Super Midgets in the fall. That I can tell you, but anything else you will have to ask him.
  2. There will be a Middle School Football Team Lineman Competition and Passing Tournament the last weekend in May 28, 29, and 30th. Each Line will compete in 5 team events, and each team is guaranteed 5 passing games. Jersey's provided with number and team colors after paid entry. TSSAA Refs will call games, trophy's to champions, and Event is Insured. If you are interested or have any questions email VOLSCALLER@YAHOO.COM This is all the information that I was given.
  3. I agree Turtle, " Just Play The Game". I don't think that Central could handle Fulton. Maybe last year, but not the other 5 years. Just My Opinion
  4. Gonna be young, but will be absolutely loaded. Probably the best around in many years.
  5. The Catholic AD's brother and KJ's brother have been good friends since the old college days. JS and KJ have also been friends for years as well. I know, how about if the AD takes the Head Coaching Job, KJ takes the DC job, and all are happy again at KNOX Catholic. What ever KJ decides needs to be whats best for his family. Both jobs are great jobs.
  6. Jalen Steele is an outstanding player, and a great young man. I see him as a MidMajor player, In my opinion. Joe Jackson is the 3rd best point guard in the nation. Don't know him off the court, I'm sure he is a great one. He can have his choice. He will sign with Memphis.
  7. I wish I believed you boo. I just don't have that high of thinking of Graham as you do. Check your IP location boo. It gives you away.
  8. Trousdale Co. Alcoa If Mitchell can stay within 7 points of Catholic at the half then Mitchell will take it. If Catholic comes out swinging and gets on top by 14 or more by halftime. Catholic takes it. I think Mitchell takes it. It might be a crazy thought though.
  9. AE should be pretty good as well. I don't know if I would say Loudon is a #2 or #3 maybe a top 10 though.
  10. I am not a Tim Irwin fan, but he does do a lot of good work and raises most of what the East side Boys and Girls Club facilities operate on. You are blaming the hand that feeds you. It is sorta like going to the mission for a free meal probably the only one you may get, and complaining that the Turkey is dry. Once again I am not a fan of Tim Irwins, but he expects kids, players or not, to do the right thing. If they don't then they will have to pay the price. It is like what my parents always said, don't shame your family, friends, team, school, community, or yourself. If there could be shame come from your actions, don't do it. If the parents been parents before, there is a good chance this would have never happened in the first place. One of the many hats a coach where's is being a parent to kids thats parents are not parenting. It is a hard job, and they spend more time with the players than most parents. A coach does things to help the kids even though sometimes it hurts his own record.
  11. Turtle, There you go again trying to give an excuse. Just so you know the news cameras and news have police radios that hear that several of the boys admitted to being players. I would say that Irwin did not know for a couple of hours. This story was out because the news heard it happen early. After Coach Graham said this would not keep them out of the game, that is when so many got into the story. Come on you have to quit making up so many reason that the world is working against AE. I love to watch them play, and the excitement that they bring. I have seen them win with class and lose with class, but I have also seen them win and lose in a classless manner as well. People dis-like the excuses and everybody is against me story. They did get to the 3rd round, while many others were sitting at home.
  12. AE has a Young group as good as anybody anywhere. Might be a good time to get them some early playing time. I was wanting to know about this social promotion from 8th grade to 9th grade. I understand that if students are socially promoted into the 9th grade they are not eligible to participate in any sport as a Freshman. How has that showed in the area for football?
  13. Let's just say the offense has dropped significantly.
  14. Really they were all caught giving away Notre Dame Jerseys, which Catholic thought were there jersey's, and Catholic didn't like it. So they had them arrested for stealing. The AE players had full intention of giving them away.Just kidding. The next charge will be arresting Coach Graham for impersonating a Coach. And a bad one at that.
  15. AAU is just like a pickup game. No form of government is involved. Failing in school does not keep them from playing in a game. Anybody can play from any where. As long as you are a certain age.
  16. Turtle I love stats, but one stat I hate is that of students and behavior. 90% of the kids in trouble for major crimes or issues in Knox County is the environment around them at home. In many cases what is not around them. That would be parents. To say you would allow a parent to make that call on playing or not---come on Turtle. Maybe not in every case, but probably the majority of these 8 young men, had the parents been involved earlier we might not be talking about these 8 young men being arrested.
  17. Greeneville will be the Big Dawg in 2-2A After they get in the playoffs they will probably be little puppies again. Just kidding.
  18. Turtle- I never mentioned the names of the players involved. I do know who all they are though. Two of them really surprised me and will probably surprise you as well. This is what happened. I'm just stating what happened. Just so you understand, IT IS THE COACH'S DECISION. This is done all the time. Have you not read about the Greeneville QB? I had the same feeling toward the QB from a school in Knoxville two years ago that was allowed to transfer schools after only serving a 1 semester penalty for a drug offense at school and was allowed to play even against his former school. I had many on my case for saying he should not be allowed to participate. I mentioned only what was out in the paper. I never mentioned any names. And yes it stinks that with all the kids that were caught that did not play football, they only mention that 8 kids were AE football players. Also, I only state my opinion just like you do. The part of my statement that is not my opinion is what is on video. If you want to go watch it you probably can. I believe you will recognize in the videos some of the faces on several different dates. Are you disliking my opinion, or the fact that I stated exactly what has been on the news, and in the papers? Oh Well.
  19. I have always heard coaches discuss trying to convince parents why there son is not a D-1 player, why they are not starting, or other things that one must do while dealing with parents and kids. Really this is not much different. The kids are on video on several different occasions doing this crime. I guess because the are kids we should also just let them do this without any consequences. You are exactly right. Nilo Sylvan's charges were dropped. He had a similar act that was never brought to court. I guess the man that had a home day care that was caught on hidden video by a parent throwing the kids against the wall and later putting a 4" object up a 3 year old childs rear end should be allowed to keep his day care going until his Trial date comes up in 6 years. Maybe we should not even tell the community that it happened, what happened, and that he has been charged. Let them decide after the court hearing to decide what he should be allowed to do. Is this what you would want?
  20. The players have been caught on video, and on video doing it several times. They have video showing the same ones as many as 4 times doing this. This is what is done. One and sometimes two go in to return something. When they will try and cause a scene. Once the return guys get the disturbance started the rest of the 6 to 20 kids just start grabbing things and running out. I know many of you have seen this happen on TV where kids just grab a handful of stuff and all at the same time just run outside in different directions. A good friend of mine had a starting QB arrested for underage consumption. The next weeks game was the biggest of the year both teams were 9-0. He chose to set his player out. The team lost. To this day he has kids and that particular kid tell him is was the right thing to do. Of course it was not a game to end the season like this game will be. To have this many kids involved shows they have no respect for the team, the coach, or the community. As a coach you are going to have one of these kids every now and then, but to have that many is just not that common.
  21. The RoadRunner field ????????????? Kingston by 6
  22. No they are not as good as Carter's RB. I know that is hard for a few to swallow, but that kid runs hard. Of course that is in my opinion.
  23. ruse? You make some very valid points and I normally go with the team that physically should win the ballgame. AC does have one of the best (very underated) QB's around. AC has a heck of a fullback/LB in #11. They have two WR's that give you a good combo. The running backs do a great job of finding the hole. The line does a pretty good job taking care of the trenches as well. Carter has a pretty dang good running back and he amassed some hard yards against the Mav's, but I don't think that Catholic has a running back with that ability. Everything points to the Mavericks, but the mental part says Irish. I just don't think that AC can beat the Bagpipe Lady.
  24. The film showed no rain in the second half. I know the ball was still probably wet, but it did not seem to be raining. If I'm not mistaken the first one two point conversion was missed. Getting stopped four consecutive plays on the goal line by a team from 1-3A shows me that luck was involved in the fact that AC pulled it out. If my memory is any count and normally its not, Carter seemed to move the ball pretty well. Both teams seemed evenly matched. It was probably a pretty good high school game to have been at, but it is much nicer watching a rain game from the comfort of the nice dry video room. It all boil down to what Photoman says, but I have to list some other valuable information concerning the game. If the Bagpipe Lady shaves her legs, AC Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady does not shave her legs, Catholic Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady has on something under the Kilt, AC Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady goes Commando, Catholic Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady Stands to Pee, Catholic Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady Squats to Pee, AC Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady falls while running through the Banner, AC Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady does not fall while running through the Banner, Catholic Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady drops her mouthpiece in the mud, but just puts it back in without cleaning it off, Catholic Wins. If the Bagpipe Lady drops her mouthpiece in the mud, but cleans it off before putting it back in, AC Wins. It all boils down to who has a set, and I aint talking hand tools or marbles.
  25. Catholic has not had very good luck this round recently, but I would say that this is the year. After seeing the video of the AC vs Carter, AC got lucky to get away with a win. Catholic by 21
