  1. And P.S. Wristbar, when you infer that girls don't understand that "You get hurt, experience pain, and get pushed past your "limit" on a daily basis," maybe you should ask your mother what it was like being pregnant and giving birth to you. I'd say mother's have experienced pain like none of us would believe so show some class and get off your pedestal and respect the fact that women have the ability to work hard and sacrifice to succeed in life and in sports. A good man respects a woman's goals no matter what they are... sports, business, etc. You may not understand them, and I personally think that if girls want to wrestle they should with their own gender, but its not your job to look down on them.
  2. The Animal, Where I'm from in Tennessee guys don't talk to girls that way... period. You should be embarrassed. Whether you agree or not represent yourself better. Aslo, wristbar even though I don't understand a girl's choice to wrestle, I know double standards do exist between boys and girls in sports, and a patronizing and judgmental appraisal of her work ethic is unnecessary. Girls know how to work hard too. It is not a uniquely male trait.
  3. jeez mike way to be sneeky about your screen name, and way to post in the topic when you are the topic. i mean honestly i might have to start a whole new forum about this.
  4. After missing his sophomore year because of pnuemonia and earning runner up last year, Mike Bell get his first state title. Congrats Mike!!
  5. What about the wrestler from Clarksville who appeared to have hurt his neck?
  6. Hands down the best match was the 140 final between Ulric and Bell. They went into triple over time, and Bell clinched it with a reversal.
  7. I heard the 140 match wasn't very close... Bell pinned in less than 2 minutes.
  8. For the record:jed graduated... and before you get all bitter about Baylor supposedly recruiting guys like him remember... Jed didn't wrestle before going to Baylor. He picked up wrestling at Baylor, and became one of the best through alot of hard work with guys like.
  9. The keeper had possession of the ball when she was hit. Collar bones aren't easily broken... it was a foul, and since the keeper had obvious possession it should have been a card whether it was an accident or not. What happened happened and a card would have done nothing to protect the keeper after she got hurt. A card would, however, have influenced the game, penalizing GPS and causing them to make adjustments (including taking the player who hurt the goalie and later scored GPS's goal off the field). Of course it is possible that another GPS player could have scored, but either way, the game would have been different. After losing their goalie to an obvious foul, (whether on purpose or accident) Baylor received only a free kick from their six (which certainly didn't penalize GPS in the least.) Nothing, the ref could have done would have brought the keeper back, which is what Baylor truly wanted, but the call he should have made would have influenced the outcome of the game.
  10. No way. JPII won't repeat. (they aren't Baylor ) They graduated too many. St. Agnes will be pretty dang good though.
  11. I think Derek Walker will win state at 189, and Mclain Still will beat Charles Green to win HW.
  12. Baylor has to beat St. Agnes before they even think about PJPII. This tournament has been crazy; there is no room to overlook anyone.
  13. It's Baylor's senior night. I don't think those girls will lose easily in their last in season home game.
  14. Why are Baylor and Father Ryan (assuming they both win thier regions) in the same bracket. They are first place and runner up from last year. Shouldn't they be separated so they meet in the in the finals? JP2 will blow through there bracket.
  15. Baylor vs. Bruisers 7:00 this Thursday. Who is gonna take the win? Both teams have had good seasons which will come out on top?
  16. Everyone favored Ryan last year and look who came out on top. Ruling out Baylor is a big mistake. Ryan didn't win by much, and Baylor always finds ways to work hard putting themselves in positions to win. It will be an amazing match if both teams get there. Ryan definitly does NOT have it in the bag.
  17. I watched those girls play last night, and Baylor dominated the whole game... even though they had a terrible first half. Tullahoma had one shot the entire game. Baylor couldn't finish, and Tullahoma's keeper played great. At the end Tullahoma dropped all their players back... leaving one forward up top. They were playing conservatively and Baylor was still managing to take dangerous shots. Tullahoma's defense held up, but Baylor has got to get better about putting opportunities away. Baylor should have beat Tullahoma.

Baylor and Farragut tied 2-2. Baylor was up 2-0 when a Farragut corner kick got cleared by a Baylor defender right into the stomach of a Farragut forward and back into the goal. Shortly after a shot punched away by the keeper was finished to tie it 2-2. Baylor beat Centennial in a close game 2-1 and Bradley Central 5 or 6 i think to 0. The game was stopped twenty minutes early.

What makes you say that Father Ryan is number one? Baylor is the returning champ with 8 returning starters. How come FR is outranking them?
  20. I heard this will be a good game what do you guys think?
  21. What I don't understand is how Green could win when he didn't shoot a single time the entire match. Jake was the only one working for the takedown. Green kept walking Jake to the outside and when Jake tried to bring him back towards the center Green would let go and wait till Jake went after him. Green stalled the whole time.
  22. Almost every school on the Best of Preps (including schools that Baylor beat) had more representatives in the Best of Preps than Baylor (Even though Baylor won state and had five players named all state.) The only Baylor player to gain recongition was Paige Lanter. Leaving her off the list would have been ludacris. I don't know what the deal was. It didn't seam fair.
  23. Lacy Morrison was voted for all region and all state but she failed to be mentioned as a best of prep in the Chattanooga area. Lauren Good had the same thing happen.
  24. Hey guys! What are the teams from DII going to look like? How many seniors is each team losing? Will PJPII, Father Ryan, and Baylor still be the top teams? Baylor is only losing only one starter. Who has the best shot at challenging them for the title? Can they take five? What about Notre Dame? Will they be able to bounce back from the loss of all those seniors? What will GPS look like without Cook or PJPII w/ out Megan (or was she only a junior?) After the select seasons roll through players will grow and get better. 05 is gonna be awesome!!!
  25. Haha man I miss the season! Can't wait till we can go at it again next year. Congrats to every team on great seasons. See everyone next year!
