  1. Well, here we are in Cleveland, Ohio, getting ready for the Senior Nationals in the morning. There is only one person who is seeded in the heavyweight class (so I am told). That person is Jon May from MN, who is ranked #2 in the nation. Parks Harding goes up against Dan Hola of UT, Daniel Crosby goes up against Tanner Munsell of OK, and Jason Pennington goes up against James Clark of CA. The winner of each of those matches go up against the following: winner of the Harding match vs. Bruno Dorismond of CT; winner of Crosby vs Brian Spaur of WY, and winner of Pennington vs. James Farrelly of NV. Well guys, I will keep you posted! See you tomorrow (Friday)!
  2. I think Clarksville has a lot of freshmen on their team. Who knows how that will work out for them?
  3. I think the Clarksville High soccer team had a great year last year. I'm hoping they can do even better this year! Go Clarksville!
  4. Has anyone heard anything on if Brugal has medical clearance to go to Ohio Senior nationals? I didn't see his name on the list yet. I really hope he can go. It would just be unfair for him to have to end his wrestling career like that.
  5. My memory is not as good as it used to be, I am sure, but maybe you can refresh my memory, Back about two years ago at the Region Duals in Mt. Juliet (I think it was), it seems one of your guys dropped a lot of weight in a short time to wrestle against the Turner boy at CHS. Your guy was so weak and did not win. I remember that because it was a real intense match and I remember watching the Turner boy's dad as he watched the match. I am pretty sure you guy usually wrestled about 2 weight classes above that. Now, as I said, I am getting older by the day, but I THINK that is close to accurate. I am sure you will correct me if I am wrongl.
  6. Wrestle - I agree with you. Our coach is pretty much that kind of guy. He is definitely the "Coach of the Year"!!!
  7. DaVinci - Hmmm, I would have to say that definitely Crosby and Pennington know a thing or two about wrestling. They do quite an awesome job, unlike most heavyweights I've seen.
  8. I think I would have to agree with Noonesfool - Also, that is might nice of the Greeneville folks to say so.
  9. I have never hearad of triple OT, but I can say that I sat there and watched one of the clock girls with her hands in her lap and often watching other matches instead of the Ref. She would put her hands on the clock to stop it if the wrestlers got close to the edge of the mat. It was often a full second between the time the ref would blow the whistle and the time it took her to get her hand on the clock to stop it. She acted so bored like she wanted to be somewhere else. I am not knocking the people as a whole who ran the clock, the tournament, etc., just that people who are truly interested in what they are doing should be working the tournament. Even just a second can make a big, HUGE difference. Don't believe me? Just ask those who came close, one second close to a win.
  10. Lovin It - I love your signature line and wish I had thought of it first!
  11. Hey, all that, and no Atomic Balm, or whatever it is, I'M PROUD OF YOU JASON!!!
  12. This is a continuation of sorts, of a thread that was "Lost" when CoachT experienced problems the other day. I would like to know which match did you think was most memorable. To me, the most memorable match of the tournament was the Div I 275 finals between Crosby & Pennington. It seems that both guys were pretty evenly matched. It was an intense match and, and as it often does, it came down to a toss of the coin with only one guy being able to wear the 1st place medal. This match to me should also have been the best match of the tournament.
  13. I'm ready for it to start tomorrow! It seems the board has been kinda quite for the past few days. Seems that talking and bragging is dying down because before long actions will speak louder than words! Bring it on!
  14. My choice is the heavyweights in Div I. The bad part is you have to wait all day for it to come about!
  15. Under what "category" do I look for these predictions?
  16. I agree that probably the hardest weight class for State will be 275. There are 5 medalists returning: Daniel Crosby, Parks Harding, Thomas Anderson, Jason Pennington and Nick Brugal. It will definitely be an exciting one to watch!
  17. I also wanted to take the time to praise the Clarksville Wrestlerettes for a wonderful job of keeping the clock and official score sheet. They were there all day without relief and did a fine job. I am proud of them!
  18. Ok, I think the original posts that got this whole thing started, if we wanted to just stick to that, is that Mr. Pala was not exactly a friendly host announcer to the opposing team. Surely he could just work on being a bit more "host friendly".
  19. Last time I checked, money doesn't come from a butt end, but then, for a "god", anything is possible.
  20. Are the results in for all 8 Regions for the teams wrestling at State Duals. I know some of them but others were yet to be decided.
  21. I want to agree with you Heavycat275. Take that Word to your Mother!
  22. Oh, so you're saying that Science Hill is a magnet school? WOW!!! Didn't know they had one for scientific wrestlers. COOL!!! So, where do they go to college? the WIT ??(Wrestling Institute of Technology?)
