  1. Obviously the Indians were not playing well and now you know who is the better team and it is BOYD!
  2. Well it looks like at least one person was right!
  3. That just proves you know nothing about Sequatchie!
  4. I said and "play well overall"... staying in your lane is a big one though, this was a problem we had with the lack of containment. I think Tyner has a very good team and I do believe this year they are not as dominant as in years past, Polk and Sequatchie both played Tyner hard and were in position to win. To Tyner’s credit they just know how to win and can get it done. But, I still believe Tyner can be beaten. I guess it goes without saying I hope Tyner wins that and a few other things are the only way Sequatchie has a chance (as slim as that might be) to go to the playoffs. That doesn't change the fact that I think this year Tyner can be beaten.
  5. I hate it you feel that way. You did have a TD called back by the ref's but I guess they had no choice a Tyner O' lineman dragged down a Sequatchie linebacker by his jersey that opened the hole the back ran thru. I noticed Tyner was called 3 of the 20 or so times they held. The truth is the ref's had no effect on the game. Tyner out played Sequatchie and deserved to win.
  6. Yes you will need to stay in your lane and tackle well... if you do this and play well overall you can win. Tyner has a good team but they as all can be beat.
  7. I see in my crystal ball a BIG NUMBER of hard hits. I hope both teams play well. Hang on to your hats and let's play ball. I know all the Polk faithful will say Polk will win and the Sequatchie faithful will say the Indians will win. But, in reality both teams are capable of beating the other it will come down to which team is willing to put it all on the line to walk away with the win. Polk played Tyner well (21 - 14) and so did Sequatchie (28 - 13) judging by the scores against Tyner a slight edge to Polk would be in order. I still think Sequatchie can, if they play well, beat anyone in our region including Tyner, so my pick is for the Indians to put a great game together and beat Polk by 7 points, it will help that the Indians are at home. Polk 14 Sequatchie 21
  8. Marion has a great record against us. But this year Marion won by 3 we both had 5 TD's now how much closer could that be, it was all in the P.A.T.'s what are you bragging about?
  9. I admit there’s no way of knowing which team will show up... I hope, and think we will be ready. If we are and can play a full 4 quarters we can at least make it a competitive game, from there let the game begin. I have seen our boys play at a level that would challenge any team, just not consistently. And, yes we can score 24 points. I just hope we can hold Tyner to 21.
  10. Without a doubt Tyner is not untouchable! We have a better team then in the past and we do have the confidence that we can win this game. However, it will take an outstanding effort on our part and I will take nothing away from Tyner, they have proven they are the team to beat. Can we? Yes. Will we? we will have to see Friday. Sequatchie 23 Tyner 21
  11. It's nice that we mean so much to you that you would post on our board; however, no one pays any attention to you... It's like a little kid pitching a temper tantrum.
  12. You make it sound like you guys are a pro team, how did you lose 2 games?
  13. Were you there? It sounds like you have no clue.
  14. I read on another thread a day or so ago that Marion’s QB was suspended for 3 days and would not play in the Grundy game. Has anyone heard about that? I don't know the source so it may or may not be reliable. I think you had better bring a coat I heard it's gonna be cold Friday night. The weather may be cold but the fields going to be hot! Cold weather and High School Football, gotta love it.
  15. I want to ask some of the Tyner fans for some info here. How many homecomings has Tyner lost in the last oh let's say 10 years? In the last 10 years how many times has Polk defeated Tyner? Also what is Tyner’s winning % at home? I could look all this up but I'm sure someone is going to know. I'm sure all this is in the favor of Tyner. So if this were and even-up game, the advantage would be to Tyner. No one will lose the homecoming game from lack of effort. I think Tyner will out hustle Polk and come away with a 14 point win. I don't think Polk is going to roll over though, but I also think they have no pressure... the pressure is on Tyner. Tyner does no want to lose a region game and damage their position in post season play. If Tyner doesn't overlook Polk then. Tyner by 14
  16. I'm so jealous, we have a kicker doing his best but he is a tail-back and a good one tail-back that is.
  17. It’s unfortunate that you feel that way. I'm sure every team feels as though the ref's have made calls that at the time made us believe they were out to get us. However in my heart I have to believe they are only human and are doing the best they can without prejudice. (were all imperfect) I know at times I have felt as though the calls all went against us, and in the same breath the other team felt they were getting the short straw. They have a tough job no slow motion on the field, fast action and the calls are final. They do a great job, I know I wouldn't want to be in there shoes.
  18. I understand exactly what you are saying. The SC team that beat Grundy could win State; the team that lost to Marion was careless with the ball. The good thing about our team now is we have the ability to bounce back, before if we made a mistake the game was over, now they put it behind them and work hard to overcome. We have a lot of seniors and that helps, without that experience we would I'm sure be in the same boat. I'm looking forward to both teams bringing their best game and may the best team win. Of course I'm a Sequatchie fan so I’ll be rooting for SCHS... GO INDIANS.
  19. I just noticed this game is on the BIG ONES board. It looks like at this point 83% think Sequatchie.
  20. Well if they played this game on paper SC by 14... But they don't. There are a lot of things that play into the score. Meigs did shut down Walker Valley and they are on a good streak. I think Sequatchie will either win or lose this game by their on hand, if they hang on to the ball and play all 4 quarters (which they still haven't done) they will win BIG. I think Sequatchie's offence is to strong for Meigs. If they had held on to the ball against Marion they (Sequatchie) would be 5-0, Meigs could be 5-0, and it looks like it could be a close game. Okay all that said, I think Sequatchie is still learning just how good they can be. Curt Bureau, and Justin Price, are both healthy throw in Chase Whited, and they will move the ball. The "O" line is big, strong and on fire opening holes and moving the Defense back off the ball. I think Sequatchie plays 4 quarters and win this one with ease. No disrespect to Meigs. Sequatchie 35 Meigs 14
  21. I understand that, it's a question of which is better hard work and discipline... or raw talent. The shame is if you have talent why do some find it so hard to be disciplined? If they only knew how good they could be if they executed correctly.
  22. What kind of problems have they been having? Is it a lack of talent, coaching, or hustle? It doesn't look like they have been playing together as a team. I have heard on other boards that they still have talent but its 11 players not 1 team.
