  1. Your comment seems a bit oxymoronic. (Maybe Im just not getting what you are trying to say.) If anything CBHS will be confident and I would see FR being unconfident from the 37-0 shelacking last year... I hope FR is much improved or it is going to be another long night for them.
  2. I saw CBHS play in the kickoff classic and they looked to have fielded a pretty sound team all around. I am going to have to go with CBHS on this one by 14.
  3. I was unable to attend the game but I listened to it on the radio. The MUS coaching staff never seems to learn that you cant wake up at the crack of dawn and travel for a good amount of time and expect your players to be up to speed especially with flying. I do not understand the ignorance which I think is more stupidity now that they have done it countless times. No, I am not blaming the traveling for MUS' loss but it did not help matters. MUS would have still lost but maybe by not such a large margin. Besides that I believe MUS was outmatched. Nease has better players and they are two well coached teams but MUS is on a rebuilding year. I believe over 500 for this year will be considered a good year. MUS has no speed to speak of and while they have some decent size they are weak and very slow/ lacking quickness. Most of the starters this year have seen little to none varsity experience. In the early minutes of the first quarter MUS had a punt returned on them due to a bad snap and the kicker freaked out and tried to kick the ball off the ground instead of falling on it where it was while a wall of Nease players were running at him. MUS made some stupid mistakes like this that a team can't make when playing another well coached more talented team and expect to have any success. MUS' offense is very unexplosive this year due to the lack of speed and quickness. MUS has a very talented quarterback but not a single skill position player that stands out and that can make plays. Their best reciever is #9. He catches very well but is easily run down. Nease had some outstanding defensive players from what I could tell over the radio broadcast especially in the secondary. All in all I hope the MUS coaching staff learns not to travel like this on the day of a game but im sure they wont since they never have learned from it in the past. Arrogance to the extreme in my opinion. Congrats to Nease on their win just hoped that we could have given you a better game =). I look forward to the MBA game in the new stadium this upcoming friday! Go OWLS!!!
  4. Congrats to MBA on their win versus trinity!! Always good to see a fellow D2AAA team do well outside the state. I have not seen MBA play this year but I have seen my MUS owls play and they are anything but powerful. They are on a rebuilding year this year im afraid but nonetheless cant wait to see the MBA vs MUS game this upcoming Friday. Good Luck to both teams!
  5. I don't think he ever said that please learn to read and then come back kk thanks.
  6. Haha Yes, I agree. I can't wait for tomorrow!!! GO OWLS!
  7. I know for a fact South Panolo has been asked to come play and has declined multiple times even when they had no week zero game scheduled. Although I never heard a reason as to why they declined. They would make a great addition to the kickoff classic in my honest opinion.
  8. Yes, Its going to be really cool now that more teams are being added to AAA. Will make for more games and some interesting rivalries im sure! Also will allow more diversity in playoff schedules etc.
  9. Yeah the first one was when I was on my way out the door and didn't have a lot of time. Also I am one who likes to hit hornets nests with a stick . (Yeah sorry Im a trouble maker makes it interesting on these forums)
  10. No, I transfered to memphis and will more than likely transfer over to Rhodes within the next year. It was not my intention to bash. I think you guys will do well against Melrose but it will be a tough game. The rest of the season I have no idea. I wasnt saying you guys are bad just that you lost a lot and have some rebuilding to do/unknowns(guys who have little or no varsity experience). Young teams in this league don't do very well its just a fact(AKA my junoir year ). Anyways once again GO OWLS!
  11. It has nothing to do with sportmanship. There is also a saying "The truth hurts". I was not dissing anyone merely stating facts based on the last couple years. Correct me if im wrong there. Thanks for the sermon on Competition. And i was living my motto. Perception is reality and I was merely stating what I percieved through hardcore facts so yes truth and honor. MUS is usually average in AAA whereas by history MBA and BA have been the dominators of the league. But yes I agree any team can turn it around any year but I still dont see JP2 or BCS being competitive in AAA for the next 2-3 years at least.
  12. Yes, he left. I thought it was because his eligibility was used up with the rules of TSSAA. I could be wrong anyone have more info on this?
  13. This game will be a battle of two subpar teams. And once JP2 enters AAA they can fight for the bottom of the barrel with FR and BCS!
  14. Well of course what could we do without that? And it was not really an arguement since the other guy had no leg to stand on. Everyone knows who you are Reznor, GL up at WF sit on some people for me Coach Burr? Haha what a traitor! And its not like he doesnt know exactly what we run anyways. But yes best of luck to MUS this season and ill be there to support you guys! One day closer to saturday cant wait!
  15. JP2 will become a second Father Ryan. Another team to schedule for a sure Division win! And St. Benedict.... just wow I hope they have stretchers at those games when they enter DII-AAA. I really laugh if you think you will do well in AAA because you do "well" in AA. You might get to beat BCS and St. Benedict but thats about it.
  16. Yes, BA's year for yet again another silver ball. If the things about BA I am reading are true and not just hype they sound to have a very good shot this year. But I believe it is far to early to tell for DII-AAA. Every team except BCS has a chance in my opinion its just who brings it all together when it counts.
  17. AMEN! Preach on brother! I look at it as there are really only two seasons. Football season and football recruiting season.
  18. Well first off I will forgive you for being so short-sighted and apparently short in the IQ department as well since you have no clue as to who I am or how many practices / scrimmages I have been to of the current team. Secondly let me correct your first sentence, it woud be very possible for me to be a member of the 2004 team and still be playing alas I am not but nonetheless. Also I am privy too much more information than you I know for a FACT. I know many people who played last year and quite a few who start this year so im sorry my friend you are the one who needs to get his facts straight but maybe you can come back after three to four games and then we will see who knows what. I know Stokes well and he is a good player but I believe its a bit to far to say one of the best in the country. One player can't make a team not in this league. The MUS team this year will be very inexperienced overall with most players who are now starting that have never seen the field via varsity competition. It is very hard to compare the lineman this MUS team has with Rivals best lineman. Yeah that numer one recruiting site as you call it. You do understand those lineman are oh 300+ lbs and bench/squat a house? IIRC the MUS team this year in the combine at least your strongest guy did a measly what 13-15 reps at 225? And your fastest person participating in the combine ran a 4.9 40? I am sorry but I am going to stick to my much more analyzed conclusion of a rebuilding year. The strengths MUS will have this year is its Quarterback and the mental edge of being back to back state champions beyond that it is to be seen. I am not saying you guys do not have a shot im just being realistic here. Any team can have an off night or play incredible or vise versa. With all that being said I am pumped for this saturday at 7:30 pm!!! GO OWLS BABY!
  19. For one your linebacking core is not much better than the last two years if anything it is much MUCH worse. Your defensive line is small and no they are not quick enough to give the big lineman much trouble cut downthe spits and its over for that D-Line. Your two starting recievers that are back are very subpar. One can catch well but has no speed and the other... cant catch a 2 yard pass. No less than a 5.6 40? Dude where did you learn that that isnt molasses slow? Your senoir running back has no speed or power for that matter. Massey was leaps and bounds better than what you have now. Im sorry I am a big MUS fan and played on the 2004 state championship team but your overview of the team is just completely wrong.
  20. MUS looks to be quite weak this year in my honest opinion. Not much size and seems to not have much speed either. I played my last year ont he 2004 team at MUS. MUS has a lot of unknowns this year but I would say it is going to be a big rebuilding year.
  21. Yeah that pretty much sums it up. But wait they will be DII champions the next year!
  22. No im just messing with good ol Reznor and he has taken it a little to seriously. Someone has obviously bought into their own press a bit to much. I guess he has some pent up hostility due to him being second hand to a a guy who only got offered to Austin Peay as he puts it.
