Next Friday in Nashville MUS will play MBA. These are two good teams, and I'm wondering how you gents think it will pan out.

Cooper, from Melrose, is a badass. I don't go to Melrose, but I watched on TV when he ran around, through, and over Briarcrest's defense. He did some stuff I couldn't believe... I thought he was floating out there. He's just one of those natural athletes, and I'm banking that very few in this state are better at running back than he is.

What is being discussed is merging all 3 divisions. Sure, some years some teams from d2-2a can compete with the big boys, but when has a 2a team ever beaten the state champion in 3a? Thats the problem. Sure 2a teams would net some wins, but they would eventually get fed up with never (probably) seeing the golden ball. That's all people are saying, and due to enrollment sizes it's probably true.

I think D2 189 will go to Mason George of MUS. I think he's beaten everyone he's wrestled this year.

MUS dominated the game. Both MBA-MUS games, you picked MBA, and Im betting that both BA-MUS games, you picked BA. So tell me, does it hurt to be THAT wrong?

Watch the MUS/MBA game, and you'll see MBA playing a cheap game. Late hits galore. Also, watch the very end of the game, when MUS was downing the ball, insuring victory, and the MBA players were just trying to break knees. Class act? Hardly.

I disaggree with your assessment of west TN football. I think there are a lot of good teams in the Memphis area (which I include in West TN). Ex. Melrose, MUS to name 2.

The MUS game had little to do with Baylor's playing. MUS had 400+ yards of total offense, but 7 turnovers. Also, I hear Baylor has a very talented team that just seems to have on and off games. I suspect they'll beat FRHS.

BCS moving to d2-3a makes a mockery of the great tradition of that division. BCS has no business being with a bunch of teams with 100+ years of great football.

Note that I said West TN teams and DII TEAMS. McCallie is in D2 last I checked. You are an idiot.

You really show no respect for West TN football or D2 football. Melrose, MBA, MUS, and McCallie all should be ranked higher.

I assure you that none of us at MUS are taking this game lightly. Even in years where the teams are terribly unbalanced (not this year, mind you... the teams seem to be close talentwise) this rivalry game is always close, because it's a HUGE rivalry. We expect CBHS to play hard and be a challenge.

MBA. I know firsthand MBA has a great team. BA is good, but I think MBA is probably a bit better. I'll take MBA by 1 td tops.
