Well the D2 committee at TSSAA may want to see how the D2AA schools respond to the change before they set enrollment numbers for that Division's classifications. The four smallest schools in D2AA are BGA, Ensworth, Webb and Harding Academy. They all have enrollment under 500. I know Ensworth plans on playing at the highest level but will they do it next year? Harding has already made the decision to move down (seems so according to the article mentioned above). Webb and BGA have the hardest choice because they have been a competative school in D2AA but will that continue? What are the benefits of D1 over D2A or D2AA for Webb? Can BGA compete like BA with low enrollment numbers (they lost quite a few players when Independence and Ravenwood opened)? These 2 schools' enrollment numbers probably will not increase much to give them the ability to compete.

So I guess Flatt, "the best recruiter in Tennessee", has had to go outside of Tennessee to do his recruiting. What a stretch! The Caffee kid was actually going to JP2 at first because Brothers spoke to them in the spring but they decided to settle in Brentwood. I am sure a kid with that caliber of talent wanted to play for one of the best schools in the state (that would be BA or MBA), so there you go. The article in the commercial appeal (memphis) said that D2AA schools would have a choice to move down or stay. The decision must be made by September 11. Maybe theyare doing this first and then they will set enrollment numbers for the classifications.

Do they think they cannot compete with the level of competition that will obviously be in D2AA? They will probably have to play Baylor and McCallie every year as a region game and would not see St. Benedict or ECS very often or at all. D2AA will be tough, no doubt about it. They would probably be in the hunt for State every year if they moved to D2A.

Private schools in D2AA have until September 11 to decide in which classification they will compete in 2007. From the Commercial Appeal article today, it sounds like ECS will stay but Harding Academy will move down. Will Ensworth stay in D2AA or go to A for a couple of years? What about Knox Webb? What do you think they will do?

Webb by 21? Powell must be a really bad team. You say they are pretty good but Webb by 21 contradicts that statement. Webb lost quite a few players to graduation so what makes you think they will come back that strong in a game they only won by a few points last year?

Why DID Ravenwood lose to Father Ryan? I would have thought you guys would put them away fairly easy? Are they that good this year?

They were right on the money last week by picking JP2 over Greenbrier 28-14...and what was the score...yeah...28-14. Pretty good. I do agree Faith that the score is a little off....probably 24-7 JP2.
