  1. Big Country while i agree about the penalties and going for it on 4th and 1, i do have to say that A LOT of those penalties where unnessary...A 6'6 reciever and a 5'9 defender and very little contact=pass interference...also, late in the 4th quarter pearl cohn had 3 illegal substitutions that went uncalled...I thought the officials did a very poor job in this game...IE the 7 yard false start penalty HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??
  2. WKCS is on 91.1 FM but can only be heard in knoxville. The broadcast comes via cell phone, and only reaches to knoxville. I wish it carried further bc russel mayes is IMO the best in the state. That includes college. He should be the voice of the vols. NO joke he is that good. I hope PC has a good offensive line bc if not, this game will be over quick... Contrary to earlier post, fulton CAN move the ball thru the air...ASK catholic what in the 4th quarter last week. Fulton's running game is the best it has been in 5 years, and maybe even the best in school history. Part of which may be due to rogan...On defense, the falcons have the best front 7 in the past 5 years. Alcoa can vouch to that. They were held to 20. WAY BELOW THEIR AVERAGE! only 1 other team scored more in a game this year. and that team was catholic, and freeney was not allowed to play. The 2nd matchup, catholic only scored 13.
  3. 5 teams fulton beat this year: Austin East- Losses only to red bank(undefeated until losing to maryville last week in the 3rd round) fulton and catholic.Extremely athletic and had IMO the best QB in knoxville, and one of the best in the state.(a fulton transfer). They also had Anthony Anderson, an all purpose threat at primarily wr and db.He is committed to UT. fulton rolled and won it with ease. Alcoa- 11-2 with losses only to undefeated 4a powerhouse maryvilleby 3, and fulton by 4. This is the a team that beat mccallie, another elite program in the state, and WILL win the title in 2a. You can count on it. Alcoa has 2 d1 prospects at reciever and both were shut down most of the night. Catholic- 12-1 only loss to fulton 18-13. Beat the falcons in the first match-up 27-14 on a controversial call that swung a 2 td difference their way. Catholic beat several sound programs. Webb being one of them(d2 runner up i believe) Harrison smith was shut down in the running game but beat the falcons with his recieving. More then likely he will either go to UT or Notre Dame. I heard Boston College is in the mix now as well. The 2nd time around he was shut down completely and seemed almost non-existant. Carter-12-2 was ranked in the top 10 in 3a most of the year. Fulton handed them both of their losses by a combined score of 92-10 i think. Carter was a solid run and throw team. Tyner- not sure of the record, but a premier team from chattanooga. very athletic, and physical.
  4. I heard one of the officials cant go this week. He seperated his shoulder throwing all those flags last week at carter. If the officials want to win they need him to get healthy! I still think the officials have the advantage, bc if a team scores they can just throw a flag.(hopefully they will all throw their arm out and just play the game) Despite the injury, i still think they win. Officials 7-0.
  5. Is it crazy to say the advantage would actually be fultons? Everyone else seems to think it is, but personally i think its better for the falcons. Catholic leads the series 2-1 BUT in the 2 games they won, they relied heavily on the pass. The falcon d always seems to shut down catholics run, and with natour out, I think that gives the falcons the advantage in preventing their run again. The game that Fulton won, Catholic tried to run the ball all night, and accomplished nothing. For catholic to win, they must take advantage of smith's height over the falcons secondary(They need to throw more to win) whereas fulton's running attack hasnt been stopped by catholic completely yet(rogan has 100 yards rushing at least in all 3 games). The rain COULD take away the pass from both teams, giving fulton the advantage.
  6. I see how I get treated... no prediction bc no 1 knows which calls the refs will make this time around...they beat fulton by more than catholic in the 1st game. I'm gonna say the refs win 16-7. anyone wanna bet on it?
  7. WHOA WHOA WHOA, 3 things. 1. Fulton had 0 ejections(unless something happened late, I know they didn't) 2. Whats wrong with pumping up your own crowd? NOTHING! its done to keep the fans into it. 3. Don't judge fulton if its the 1st game uve seen them play with carter. 2 of the last 3 meetings between these teams have resulted in ejections. ALL FROM CARTER! not 1 player from Fulton in the past 5 years(that i can remember, i know not 1 against carter) has been ejected.*Hint* fulton isnt the only team that has had altercations with Carter.
  8. Road2three and HolySnap i never got the email from yall telling me who you are. I'm not a coach so dont be scared LOL. I graduated in '06. Email me at fultonfootball2006@yahoo.com Ill return the favor. Back to the game. I'm not sure that Carter is considered a "good" team. They have played no 1 all year long, and i promise you they would be lucky to take the #4 in the playoffs in region 2. BUT if you count there record as the determining factor then i guess they are. Carter only has credibility of winning games against weak region 1 opponents.(Hint: last year were undefeated and lost to Fulton 42-0, then in the 1st round of the playoffs, this year lost to Fulton even worse with an undefeated record.) To me, that doesn't classify them as good. Sorry the truth hurts, and the truth is that Fulton wins this one AGAIN in a blowout.(I can overlook Carter because my playing days are over) Now to say the Fulton players overlook carter is a long stretch. I was talking to some players yesterday, and they said they are excited to play carter, and didnt care who they played next week, because they want to punch carter in their mouth for the cheap shots. I KNOW FOR A FACT, that carter is a team that plays dirty. Alot of the fans dont see the punches to the stomach, grabbing of the throat, etc. I never used these tactics when I played. Ask any of my teamates, I was about as clean as they come. BUT IN THE CARTER GAME, i was continuously getting hit late, and continuously getting cheap shotted. This wasn't from me doing it 1st. To make a long story short, if i say a team is dirty, they are. i WONT state facts that im unsure of. Carter is by far, THE DIRTIEST TEAM I PLAYED DURING MY WHOLE HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. As Turtle would say "Just keepin it Real"
  9. Please don't refer to God as a fantasy and not being real. Thats your opinion, but doesn't have anything to do with this game. Now, I remember playing Carter last year and trust me when i say this, They are sore losers. They give cheap shots every chance they get, and I'm extremely upset with Woods allowing this. I have met him on several occasions, and he is a great guy(off the field). But on the field is a different story. This one will be a blowout FHS-48 chs-0
  10. Last 5 years is really what counts...what happened in the 60s doesnt count Here is the last 5 years... 2001- AE(Region 2-3a) 2002- Fulton loses to ridgeway 21-14 with 6 turnovers and following year ridgeway went 5a. 2003- Fulton defeats covington 36-9(i believe this was the final) 2004- Fulton defeats greenbrier (forgot score but it was pretty big diff) 2005- Livingston academy(region 2-3a # 4 seed) Notice 5 years and 4 championships won by 2-3a, and 2-3a has represented the east in all 5... But the stat that blows my mind=not 1 of the 4 championship teams from 2-3a ended the regular season as the #1 seed in 2-3a...all 4 championship teams were 2-4 seeds... If that doesnt make 2-3a the toughest region in the state, i dont know what defines it... 1 more fact, not to take anything away from region 1, but region 2 swept them in the 1st round of the playoffs...Many expect the same result this year... you CANT avoid the facts!
  11. I definately remember when i played covington in the state championship a few years ago(we wore maroon, but u may not have noticed bc we probably came as a blur to u) I remember very well how the covington fans predicted a victory by 2 or 3 tds. The game was over at halftime, and we pulled the starters during the 3rd quarter...what was the final 36-9? we took a safety at the end of the game for a reason. Until west tennessee wins a big game against the east, i will NOT give them respect(You have to earn respect, it doesnt come free) I can say this bc im not a player...trust me when east plays west its a championship, therefore the players will respect the other team.
  12. Road2three email me and let me know who you are...we had to play together...I grad in '06...my email=fultonfootball2006@yahoo.com
  13. Ok obviously you know nothing about Fulton...1st off class can matter but not always...HINT: Alcoa(they would bury scott)...I guess your talking about the early 90s when coatney took over the team...his 1st year he was 1-9...there are several reasons behind this...1) there where some problems at the school and a lot of students left(the school was going to be closed bc too many schools in the area) 2) coatney was young and it was his 1st year as a head coach...With the exception of about 3 or 4 years in the early 90s, name a fulton team that didn't have a winning record(There arent many)Now, How many losing seasons does scott have in their history...Fulton has a tradition, and thats to win football games...Learn some facts before you judge... P.S. YOUR FROM SCOTT COUNTY!!! Beat a decent team then come talk to me...Ill give you respect for that but you gotta earn my respect.(hint: the post i made earlier where i talked about livingston last year...) you want respect? EARN IT! WE got NO respect until my freshman year and made it to the ship...please stop posting on this topic..obviously you are clueless... To the livingston fans and people who care about this weeks game, sorry for getting off topic. I had to protect my turf. I wish good luck to both teams, and pray for no injuries...See ya friday...(Im not gonna make a prediction on the score because i havent seen livingston play this year) I will say that based on the records and the score, fulton is a heavy favorite...
  14. who are u? if u graduated in 05 then i think i know... email it
  15. U played for fulton last year? who are u? u can email me @fultonfootball2006@yahoo.com if u dont want others to know...ur secret is safe with me
  16. First off, I played for Fulton last year and thought that livingston was an extremely good football team. I thought they were very physical up front, and i think it was #2(he was the middle linebacker) was pretty solid as well...Wilson Cates added a lot as well... My question is(with no harm intended just curiousity), how could a team that was fairly solid all the way around have such a bad year? Honestly, if someone would have told me that LA would lose to scott county i would have laughed and told them to find a psychologist. Also, why bring up last year? To the fulton fans that were talkin about this, didn't u learn class while at Fulton.(especially football players, if it wasnt for the coaching staff i probably wouldnt be where i am today) Why should u get on here and bash the state champs? Fact is, last year, we didnt win the championship, they did. Couldn't Austin East have done the same thing in the championships we won. They did beat us both years in the regular season...But we won when it counted and won the championship...just like them last year. Show respect for the team that won it all...
  17. It is pretty bad that you attack your son's own teammates on here. Must be somethin in the water at carter. I won't elaborate for the sake of starting an arguement. I swear someone said they believed carter was as good as the top programs in the state. The thing tonight that bothered me the most about carter( and there was a lot of things that bothered me) was one of their coaches talkin to what i assumed was his family. I over heard him say and i quote, "I think the defense had a really good game tonight." then to my suprise, the people he was talkin to agreed!!! I took it that he was probably the d coord. by the way he talked. I honestly couldnt believe what i heard. How could a coach say the defense played good when the opposing team scored 48 points with their 3rd string qb? Rogan had over 200 yards rushing as well...i really didnt understand how a coach could be satisfied with that performance. Region 2 will sweep round 1 of the playoffs
  18. 3 THINGS 1.fowler is the cross country coach that you are reffering to and he is someone who would be the 1st one in coatneys office to let him know about it. so ur situation is possible but unlikely bc that game was 2 or 3 weeks ago and freeney wouldnt have played against scott. 2. Freeney has more going on than his dad missing. Trust me i talk to him daily and have spent a whole day with him and saw how "bad" his situation is. 3. i responded in defense of these players. Freeney may not be a "model citizen" but with help and guidance, i honestly believe he can be. Now to the game. Both teams are very solid. I had the opportunity to play catholic last year and came to this conclusion. Catholic isnt as strong as most teams i played(watch how they block aham tonight-chop) I think there offensive and defensive lines are overrated, but no 1 can see that bc smith is so talented. For fulton, i think there offensive line is also overrated, but there defensive line is extremely solid. The skill positions for both teams are solid, but i give fulton the edge bc of there overall speed. To predict this game you have to look 1 place. the TRENCHES. whoever wins the battle of the trenches, wins this game. PERIOD. throw out the talk of rogan and smith. Neither team will them either run wild. With that being said, i give the edge to fulton. There defensive line has proved theirself over and over that they are one of the best in the state. Look for higgins and aham to be the deciding factors in this game. fulton by 14 with a late touchdown from rogan.
  19. Obviously you didnt read my post. I know freeney very well, and talk to him often. Freeney IS A GREAT KID, but he just needs guidance. Maybe you dont understand bc people from catholic dont have to go thru the daily struggles some of the kids from fulton go through. You'll never hear it from Freeney, but he has went through ALOT, and is under a lot of pressure.
  20. Im pretty sure AHAM will be able to play. I know he wasnt suspended from school, but not sure exactly what he did. As for freeney, how can u get on a website and call someone a thug not knowing his back ground. Freeney is a great kid who just needs a little help. You should be ashamed of yourself for talking about someone you dont even know.
  21. I agree that Fulton will be at the top.i played last year and the ONLY concern is the o-line...i think they should be ok with Bob Black having some time this year...last year he missed most of the preseason...this year hes ready to go...remember all the line needs to give is about a second...because i promise if they hold there block that long then rogan will be GONE!!! DO IT FOR K. WALKER BOYS!!!
  22. obviously you dont know the truth about fulton football...i play and can tell you how the team works...coatney is the linebackers coach and ask any linebacker there if he coaches them well...robbie coaches qb's and defensive backs...bob coaches the offensive and defensive line...all 3 play there part and all 3 are great coaches...coatney runs the defense and robbie runs the offense...coatney does his job...
  23. i think uve went against us all year
  24. fulton hasnt played a team like carter? like tom said we played alcoa...are they not good? what about austin east? catholic? chattanooga tyner? i hope u overlook us because i love it when people overlook us...
  25. the only way fulton can finish 4th in the region is to lose to livingston and anderson county lose to scott...with that being said fulton will more than likely be 3rd in the region or completely miss the playoffs...
