If Im not mistaken didn't alcoa score the most points on Maryville out of all the teams Maryville played except the Central playoff game i believe it was 18 points or something like that so if they got 18 points on Maryvilles great D last year then with the Alcoa offense improved with the addition of Shiverdecker and Maryville losing starters on the D doesnt that mean Alcoa should atleast score more than 18 points. Also if Alcoa does lose Brandon Warren maybe that doesnt have much of an effect on paper but what does it do to the minds of the Alcoa players and Maryville players may bring Alcoa down a bit and give Maryville that extra boost of confidence....also if you are supposed to be suspended for the upcoming weeks game does that mean u cant practice with the team?

and so (if true that Warren is not elligable for next weeks game due to getting kicked out of this one) another wrench is thrown into the works of the Maryville Alcoa game...first it was is maryville gonna reload then it was bout shiverdecker going to Alcoa then it was about how Maryville did good in a scrimmage against OR and Alcoa didnt do so well and now if Warren is out another thing to add to the list of things happening before the game is even played to sway someones opinion...cant wait to see how many ppl flip flop bandwagons by next friday. Wonder what IF something else is going to happen this week before the game...only time will tell

Yes Powell 21 Fulton 20 they missed an extra point after their second TD making it 21-13 The 2's went in after that and I believe Fultons 2's outscored Powells 2-0 or 3-0 Good scrimmage for both teams. Very good sportsmanship

The key factor in this game for Maryville is the Offensive Line. If the O-line does well then the Rebs can get the running game going with Talent and in turn that will open up the passing game...Maryville must establish a run game. If they do that Maryville has more than just a chance to win. Alcoas key will be the QB if he can scramble around and make plays in the passing game then Alcoa can and will score on offense. Prediction Maryville-21 Alcoa -27

Heard Maryvilles QB Hunt got injured at the Jambo Friday against Pigeon Forge....any word on how he is doing and when he will be back? Also if he isnt back does that mean the 3rd stringer will start against Alcoa since the 2nd string guy is hurt as well? Waiting to hear from the maryville faithful...

only reason last years game between Powell and Halls was close is becuz they were playing in a swamp in a downpour. If no rain Powell wins by a landslide and everyone knows it. From what i saw tonight at the Jambo Powell was amazing and Halls was less than up to par....

I think Clinton has a chance to beat Knox West and Halls this year...could be close for 4th in the region if they have a good year...

I must say at first I thought it was pretty even because Maryville no matter how good the other team they face is, is always ready to play. When Alcoa got Shiverdecker I thoguht OK Alcoa has the edge but then after hearing about the Maryville OR scrimmage my opinion changed back to even....wish I could watch this game or that it was on TV so i could record it.

Just depeneds on what mood im in.....sometimes before games I just like to calm down and have a clear head so I can go over all of the plays in my head and know exactly what to do on each play....in this instance I listen to R&B or some pop songs. Now sometimes I like to get really hyped up before a game so I can go out and lay a lick on someone...in this case I listen to hard rock or rap.

I believe a two man show is more than a no man show so I believe 2 is more than 0 therefor Powell will win.

All ya'll need to quit hating on my man Cody. He does max 285+ on bench and I should know becaus I WAS THERE. And yes he did bench 185 23 times BILL!! And he is SI All Southeastern team at QB postion.

Well how is the region going to look after week one....Maryville, Central, and Powell all have the chance of losing their first game....Maryville plays Alcoa and that game should be the game of the year. Central travels to 5-A Farragut which is no easy place to play. Powell is at home against Webb who have beaten Powell the last 2 years...first week should be very interesting....

Cody Watts is the Sports Illustrated QB for the Southeastern team...so I would say by that he is the best QB in the South Eastern United States....
