  1. Spoken like a true region 2 ignoramus determined to keep everybody in the rest of the state thinking that Upper East Tennessee wrestling is a gaggle of stupid hillbillies. And it was a numbers thing-according to the results, looks like only three girls were actually from South Doyle, one of whom was a boy's varsity starter with over 20 matches this year alone. But the way she acts she must be pretty good even against guys. Guess we'll see her at boy's state-we will, right? Surely she's in the top four-they get four qualifiers, unlike everybody else in the state. But that's an entirely different fraud. I guess Soddy and Science Hill should apologize for trying to fill all their weight classes with girls who only wrestle against girls. Henry and Price need to get on here and say something before people read this thread and get the wrong idea about what's really going on.
  2. Anybody want to try picking the girl's winner?
  3. Was it complications or competition? Which word should be used? Help me out here.
  4. Forget Science Hill...they give up...what they've done the last six years was just a fluke. It was just a matter of time before they got found out. Why don't you answer these people Price?
  5. I agree totally with you on Johnson. I just hadn't watched him enough. Definitely the real deal. After this weekend, I'll make a revision: 1-Felix-Does he make everything look just insanely easy or what 2-Mansen-Totally dedicated, great postion, great kid 3-Ben Johnson-Solid like Mansen 4-Usary-Slick, conditioned, and poised 5-Demetrius Johnson-I had an inkling but now I believe 6-Brandon Wright-Impressive in the finals 7- Courtney Coffee-What a specimen-and physical-he punished his guy in the finals 8-Travis Creagan-Never lost his cool, found a way to win his second 9-Jay Adamson-Looked a little more human in the finals 10-Simpson-Impressive in the finals as well Soddy 1, Bradley 2, Notre Dame 3, Science Hill 5, Ooltewah 6, Kingston 8-Way to go right side
  6. I know you've been waiting for this so here you have it: Trashcanman's Top Ten 1-Kelly Felix 2-Corey Manson 3-Ben Johnson 4-Bo Usary 5-Brandon Wright 6-Travis Creagan 7-Jay Adamson 8-Ryan Fuller 9-Damien Buchanan 10-Demetrius Johnson I can't wait to hear from the you know who koolaid drinkers. And some who should be on the screen, however... Nick Reveiz Josh Jadoobirisingh Jake Young Spike Rawn The wrestling Youngs Matt Lettner Ryan Konz
  7. Soddy Daisy, Bradley, Science Hill, Greeneville, Ooltewah...looks to me like the thunder is coming FROM THE EAST!!!!!!!
  8. You didn't mean to upset anybody? Then why even bring it up? Man.
  9. And who's abusing the rule lawman? Give us some names before you start making accusations. And who are these people who are admitting it? Have a little backbone and be specific before you throw some abstract post on here. Come on, go all the way Dobby.
  10. They didn't. It was a double forfeit. Ooh, or we could make up some juicy story about somebody being afraid or somebody dodging somebody or something like that. You haters would love that, wouldn't you? Good grief. Some of you people have WAY too much time.
  11. Well, probably, when you're at the top it's a little harder to find tough matches than easier ones. Maybe it's just me. And have they finished behind a Tennessee team anywhere they've been this season? As Coach Elia used to say, Geez Oh Man.
  12. Corey Manson is the best wrestler in the state. And it's ridiculous that you can have a post here without mentioning Bo Usary and Damien Buchanan. Why don't you say something Price?
  13. I hope the people who are cracking on Baylor's easy schedule aren't really associated with programs in middle TN. No coach in his right mind is stupid enough to think that Baylor avoids anybody in this state. Baylor IS THE BEST TEAM IN TN!!!!!! And for all you Bundy koolaid drinkers....COREY MANSON IS THE BEST WRESTLER IN THE STATE!!!!! Man, it is amazing how unrealisitc some of you people are... Why won't Hendersonville look for someplace Baylor is and run Bundy to 135??? And when is anybody gonna give Greeneville some respect?
  14. From somebody...and it doesn't matter anyway. If he ain't there, the Drish kid will be. And I better not hear from anybody in Middle TN that he's just duckin' Bundy either. You'd think he'd never beat that kid before, the way everybody goes on. But say what you want...I hear Price loves to make shirts and stuff out of quotes on here. He won't mind. 15. I like those three East TN teams in the top ten!!!!!! Hope they can stay there!!!!!!
  16. Like those three East TN teams in the top 10!!!!! Hope they can stay there!!!!!
  17. Like those three East TN teams in the top 10!!!!! Hope they can stay there!!!!!
  18. I heard Usary will definitely drop to 125 at the end of the year.
  19. Science Hill graduates one senior who did not score in the state tournament and will be adding Grant Mitchell (who had a legitimate shot at placing at 119 this year) to the group for a total of ten returning state qualifiers and three medalists. Still, as usual, they probably won't be as good as Farragut or the newest craze team out of Nashville, so don't worry about them too much. They can only get recognition by placing iin the top four of the state duals. They might win a match or two in a weak area of the state. Forget about them.
  20. DII needs to have a qualifying tournament and only bring eight. That would free up some time for more DI matches, especially if the tournament starts in the 12:00-2:00 range on Thursday. Of course, that will never happen because the private schools are the tail that wags the dog in Tennessee wrestling. Look at the duals-130 DI schools, 8 qualifiers-DII 17 or so schools, 8 qualifiers. Any kid who qualifies, especially under the new system of only three, deserves the chance to wrestle twice. And if it is true that Notre Dame and Catholic get to add their medalists to their region' s total, it is further proof of how unfair things are in this regard. And we don't need one tournament, especially now that some DII wrestlers are not from Tennessee. Make us all work with the same thing, then push unification. If not, just leave that alone.
  21. And it was a typical, actionless, like watching paint dry heavyweight match. Good grief.
  22. Bundy would have been a great choice last year. Bosken of Science Hill would have been the year before.
  23. It is all part of our pollster's love affair with anything non-Region 1 or 2. A Nashville school can be purported to be good, but an East TN team has to prove it, usually two or three times, before anything changes in polls. It seems unimaginable to our state wrestling "cogniscenti" that anyone from the East could compete with anyone from the West. It must be said, however, that Farragut was a beneficiary of some of that same hype.
  24. Chad Cross never did place. If I'm not mistaken, he lost in overtime in the match that would have put him in the medals. Edmonds was third twice.
  25. Seems to me like there are a couple of folks out there runnin there mouths right reckless to have never done much in region one, let alone the state. It's cool to be exited bout the season and all, but some of you might want to check yourselves before you wreck yourselves.
