Thanks Coachhard, it was a tremendous game with Upperman. As for Station Camp, a lot will depend on what happens with the public private split I think. If we have to go to two divisions within the district I think that would be bad. We have too many teams now. I look at the districts to the west and see one with five teams, others with six. Maybe we need four classifications. I don't know. We have more in common with the kids in 8AA than we did with 9A but now we have to drive to Macon Co. and I'm the bus driver. When the new classification time grows near we will do a lot more research. I think a major factor will be Travel. Back to the tournament, if Station Camp is the nine seed it would be a hardship for the eight seed to finish Friday night and play a play in game Saturday night. It could be interesting. How are you guys doing this year?

East Lit played them monday. We beat them by 9 and I played 13 players. I found out some things about my reserves. As far as Station Camp, They play hard and they are still learning the game. They do not have great size right now but they are still young and growing. Coach Spivey does a very good job. They will be in district 8AA with us. I'm not sure how that will affect our tournament breakdown this year. Next year they will be much more competitive because they will all have a year of experience. Also they will not have to schedule whatever schools that are left. The only good thing about having a rough year is that everyone will be open to scheduling you, even those that struggled as well.

Hoopsta23, I don't know if you are one of mine or not but you have to respect everyone you play. There will be no guaranteed wins in 8AA this year. Portland has probably the best 1, 2 punch in the district and possibly the state. It should be a great game. As far as Upperman goes, I respect their program as much as any in the state. They are well coached, hard nosed and smart. Number 21, Mathis, is a sleeper in that league. I would love to have him on my team as well as several others on their team. I think they will have anoyher great season. As far as my team goes, I thought we made improvement but still need to understand game situations. I thought our bench did a solid job. Now I have to spend the holidays thinking of a way to slow down Brewer and Ferguson.

I'm glad Brandon is doing well. It could have been a lot worse. It was the hardest fall that I have ever seen in person and probably as bad as any I have seen filmed. He is a great young man and I wish him the best. He might need an extra week to recover, though. Maybe start practicing after the East Lit game. Anyway, good luck this year.

What kind of education do they offer? Are they accredited?

I hope he makes the grades too. I think coach Wright should give him a rest in February against a non region opponent such as ............. East Lit . Yeah, that would be a great time to give that young man a well deserved rest.

He had 14 early in the first quarter with a couple of dunks. He came out with about 3 minutes to go in the 2nd. Brandon had been getting over the flu this week and did not play as well as he is capable. Both teams zoned each other.

Any word on the games from last night?

That's what it looked like over at West End tonight. Jamont stood tall tonight not only over Hume Fogg but over every other player in Nashville. I was a little skepticle of him after his abbreviated freshman year. That cat can play! Coach Falls told me earlier this week that Jamont is on another level. Not even close, he's on another planet! I can't always agree with Gomab, but he is right on about him. Plays the game at a different speed. Humefogg has a good team but they just had to look up and say WOW!

I think I'll just go ahead and cut Tony Hood so he can get a head start on being better off at another school. I wouldn't want to ruin a talented young player like that for someone else.

Many of you saw the post under tman3eagle yesterday and I am sure like myself you were very upset. I sent a message to coacht about it to have it removed. I just want to set the record straight about the young man that uses that name. He is an 8th grader at my school. He is a good young man and he did not post that vulgar message. He made the mistake of using a computer at the East YMCA and did not log out. The post came at 3:47 pm and at that time he was in the middle of basketball practice. He made a mistake in leaving his name on the computer. Nothing more and nothing less. Panthergam is one of the most respected coaches in the state and a very good friend of mine. I am sorry for what happened but I wanted to clear the air. It was not the registered user known as tman3eagle.

The best of the 80's in one class on one team. Charles Brooks played at Aquinas and Trevecca, Calvin Peters played at Belmont, Bobby Harris played Juco and then for Auburn-Montgomery, and Wendell low played a little Juco. There were about 3 or 4 more seniors on that team that were pretty good. They were fun to watch!!!! I don't think Ben Frederick will get too much attention this year. Coach Smith said he has put Ben off the team. A big loss for Bartlett.

My wife wants to trade our Titans tickets in for Vandy Tickets. Might not be a bad idea. Less money without getting our hopes up. We need a new philosophy, especially on offense. If we have to, we should make a change!
