I spend a good bit of time in Lexington and they were still shocked at the pounding ya guys put on them injured or not. Folks are starting to really talk bout them Rebels.

I talked to a contact at DC Riverside and the varsity score was 2-0 with Rice connecting on a couple of TD passes

Alright Lions Ive saw 3 games so far and you lost 2 heartbreakers. Time to take care of business and go the extra mile (sorry about the cliche).

I got to see Camden last week and except for a couple of questionable penalties I thought the Lions had it won. Camden is a very formidable team that looks to capture the region crown again. Hate to say it but Camden big in this one

i know riverside is down but from what i hear they showed no pep at all friday. richland is not that good they beat a team plagued by injuries. lewis-40, richland-6

Well Panthers heard you made a game oput of it at first but Goodpasture capitilizedf off some miscues the 2nd quarter. Regardless I have enjoyed watching you and am always amazed at the heart you show at every ballgame. Smith congrats to you on a good season and career. They will surely miss you next year( and years after that mind you). Good luck next year Panthers.

I was worried Camden wouldnt be able to pull it off last Friday after watching them the last 2 games against Riverside and LC but the Lions got it together and pulled off a big win. They looked like an entirely different team last Fridasy and I look for them to advance. Goodpasture is looming and even though I didnt get to see them, they beat a good Panther team.

Im not trying to disrespect you on this but in my "opinion" the region championship was played last friday.

I have to go with the underated Smith on this one. he is the man.

Im just a fan in general who loves smalltown football. Sturdivant was a very charismatic coach and I really enjoyed watching his teams played, but when he left or towards the end of his career I started going to different games and then I came across Riverside a couple of years ago. I had already heard a lot about coach Goff and that year they pounded lexington. They really impressed me that game and I watched them a few other times. The game that got me hooked though was the win over USJ and since I kinda followed the boys of Parsons. I hate them being over the river now but I still make some of them. Go Panthers.

Back when I used to be a Tiger supporter I thought Rod Sturdivant was the best coach ever. Year in and out he would turn some small town kids into playoff teams and championship contenders. The reason I say this is because Coach Sturdivant always spoke highly of Coach Barrett of RHS, and as far as mentioning coaches for the Panthers you just can't leave a coach like that out of the coacvhing equation. What I saw of Coach Goff he is brilliant, his play calling can not be questioned as that good running game of awesome runner Smith and sets up that pass real good with Brasher throwing darts. Coach Barrett has now got an offense to go along with his hard nose defenses so people watch out.

from what i heard about last friday-riversides defense stepped up. i couldnt believe the number of yards riverside limited the irish too. sounds like they have some momentum going but the cardinals coming off a dissappointing loss will be hard to handle. i dont doubt riversides ability to move the ball with smith running like crazy along with mccormick and brasher throwing, but their defense better get consist. riverside 27 adamsville 20

Richland, you played a great game. you were a lot more physical than i thought you would be. as for riverside offense looked great. Smith did a heck of a job with extra yardage as well as brasher looked real good in his accuracy. i still think defense needs to buckle down. smith my editor sure wishes you had another year were going to be doing more of a special feature on senior standouts and he finally came to a game to watch riverside. just thought you should know since ekard called me out.

i played ball in ohio but i have been in tenn long enough to know rod sturdivant was the man at bruceton. a very impressive program from a grossly small population that turned ballplayers out every year.

you know when i first started viewing coacht i said to myself i would never post because a lot of the idiot things that get said, and then i made my first one and a few more after that. that was a mistake as im sure some of my posts has offended some people like ekard. i guess he is a father of one of the ones i mentioned and that is wrong of me to do so. i forget that a parent doersnt like to see their child mentioned in a negative way. so i will watch what i say from now on. ekard you took it personal and im big enough to say i shouldnt have offended your son. but how in the world do you know who i am, i only go to the home games unless it is in the west tenn region and i keep pretty much to myself besides a couple of other guys i go to ballgames with. good luck riverside.

ekard, i didnt mean to ruffle your feathers. i admit stupid is a bad word and i heard yesterday that mccormick was under the weather last game so i apologize for my negative comments about them. as far as smith i said he impressed me. yea some say he runs the ball different now and i was just trying to get an insight on that. i have no problem with him. he is avery talented runner and has been since i noticed him 2 years ago at lexington. he particulary got my attention the usj game. that was the game where i kinda of adopted the panthers, i hate usj and that victory showed a lot about smalltown football. so i apologize panthers and hope you come out there and show richland what west tenn. is about.

I think riverside should win but the way they have been playing D they dont have a chance. Their line is stupid and their linebackers dont have a clue about angles and ballflow. I thought McCormick was supposed to be a bad man but he hasnt done crap. Their offense is impressive with Chase Brasher under the center and Hunter Smith at tailback but some people their in Parsons are saying Smith isn't runner he used to even though he impresses me. But what do I know Im just a fan expressing my opinion.

I was at the game and Guy was very impressive when he got into the secondary, but I have to wonder if would have had those gaping holes if the Lion linebackers were playing. Im not taking nothing away from Guy but he hit those holes at top speed there was hardly anyone their to challenge him all night. Im not even a Camden fan but I know about Leornard and Wilbanks as they are very formidable defensive players. I would have liked to saw this one week 8 or something.

Im with the media and i have it from Official sources that McKenzie received 1,000 dollars from Sports Plus to play. So I really dont blame Comer from backing out as dollar signs goes well with a Friday night.

I just pretty much read the stuff that get's said here but you unfairly treat McCormick on this one. i dont go as far to say that he is the best in the state but he still does a great job. No one is trying to compare him to the likes of the Titans or Vols yet, just that he is a good linebacker. And you say that Riverside has played losing teams too and that is correct. Just Chester Co. who is 4-5 and Waverly who probably is the same as RHS. Im just a fan who goes for the ungerdog and Riverside happenend to catch my attention last year. They are a strong team with a very tough schedule. Yes their has been ballgames they made mistakes such as USJ recently and a lot more. They have a bad case of bad luck. From what I have saw this year i'll take the likes of Hunter Smith, Nick Coleman, and Joey Puckett over a lot of players. They have the heart that is required to play this game. If it wasnt for their record these guys would be getting a lot of attention right now. And you said against the big boys Riverside is lost but I have seen some of these games and Riverside was in all these ballgames at one time.
