  1. I just keep refreshing the front page. I can't get the stats link to work.
  2. I guess the "live stats" page won't come up until 11:00 cst huh... Thats what I get for living on the coast. thumb
  3. I'll agree its alot harder to shoot over a big "athletic" defender than over a short one. Not saying that they aren't.
  4. I played against Chicken. Personally I don't think he was that good. Chicken never packed a gym just to see him play.
  5. Add the 105 to 66 win to that from tonight. Make that 747 total / 83 pg That's putting some points on the board.
  6. Well, I don't think they will take down White Co. like they did Loretto tonight. I just looked at the roster for them and they got some "big boys". Only question is can they play good enough D to stop the Trotter offensive onslaught?
  7. Congrats to the Lady Eagles & Coach W! Great job!
  8. Are you guys coming to S'town to play in the "Ark" or is it gonna be somewhere like a C'mas tournament?
  9. It's frustrating when it takes you 4 tries to get the ball past half court against a group of Freshman and Sophomores. thumb
  10. Well, if that's the way you want to look at it. But, like stated before in other posts, those girls are taught to never give up, or let up. If he laid them back every time they got ahead by 15 then what does that say for everything he has taught them about giving 110% all the time? I'm sure he didn't have the starters in the whole 4th. So if the second, and third string can run up the score why shouldn't they?
  11. Far as I know they haven't played in S'town yet. But I live in Fl, what do I know? I think the schedule says Jan 28th.
  12. MP out scored 24 to 9 in the 4th! I can tell Coach Willard has those girls going. That's what a very well conditioned, and well disciplined team do to you. Add a 4 quater full court press to that, and you have a winning combination. Notice the gradual pull away, 5 1st, 14 2nd, 18 3rd and 33 points at the end shows a team that's is wore down mentally, and physically. You do that to a team and they turn the ball over more and more as they get pressured. Great job girls! thumb
  13. Sounds like the guys put up a good effort tonight. I think they will pull out the W at home though.
  14. I'm pretty sure it's at Mt. Pleasant. From what I have heard about the last two games summertown played, the boys are really gonna have to pick up the D come Tuesday night. Cause when you live on offense, and the shots aren't falling.... D is the key! I think that cost them the game last Tuesday. Good luck Eagles!
  15. I make it a point to try and stop by to see him when I am back home. He helped me turn my life around, and help me enjoy the last two years of highschool. I owe alot to him. As I stated above Coach Willard helped get me back into basketball. He gave a kid a chance when no one else would. After what happened to Coach after my Jr year I did get the great pleasure of playing for Coach McBee for one year. He is a great coach too. I had known him from years of my brother playing for him. I never played at highschool or jr high because I refused to be called "Josh Hughes' little brother" for the rest of my years at the school. Coach Willard gave me the chance to make my own name. And I hope that in a few years my sisters and my brother will have that same chance.... matter of fact I know they will. You never know what a small town upbringing can do for you until you've seen the rest of the world! Go Eagles thumb
  16. Coach Willard was the reason I started playing basketball. He took over when Gene McBee retired. Then some "off the court" stuff happened in spring of 98 that made him step down (I thought he was in the right). He is a great coach no matter who he gets a hold of. thumb
  17. Congrats to the guys for a big win last night! thumb
  18. Sounds like a missed some good games last night. Thats one thing I hate about being away from there. Coach Willard has them girls playing hard it seems. I got the pleasure of playing for him for one year and when got him on the bench you can guarantee there is going to be some top notch full court D being played. thumb
  19. I played there.... it is a great gym, and nothing can get as exciting as that place can. It was a spiritual feeling going to war on that court. Lots of blood sweat and tears have soaked into that floor.
  20. when I played, I would drop it in the rim from above some times, but I could easily get above the rim and force it threw without ever touching the rim. Got warned for it alot but always asked the ref's to watch and see if I was touching the rim or not.... never got the T though.
  21. Yeah coach wouldn't put up with that.
  22. Looks like Big Phil has them girls going again. Congrats to them.
  23. When I was a senior there back in 98 I became the 4th person in Summertown's program to dunk in regulation. Earlier that year Kevin Heatherly became the third against Columbia Ac. I think Kade Bosheers may have got on that list since then. Seeing how I live in FL now I don't know what they have going on too much but Trotter or any coach from Summertown has ever put a goal at having someone dunk. It was almost down played in practice. Coach Willard did chase me down the floor one day in practice screaming at me to dunk it. That was funny. Point being, Trotter is looking to score more three point field goals then dunks and with the short players they have I don't know if they will ever get the chance even if they can. No matter if they can dunk, they will play their hearts out. Go Eagles thumb
  24. Good job SHS! I'm glad I can use this site now to keep up with the teams. Plus I gotta friend that went to Page.... I'll make sure he knows thumb
