Wow, what could have been. Two hard nosed, tough$$$ coaches going nose to nose. Would have been very interesting. Just wish now that there was a consolation game game but great year for both schools!!!!!!!!

Where's Culleokarep? Maybe he/she should talk about the young kids at Culleoka. Freshman: 6'6 Antwane Beach, 6'7 Shawn Beach, 6'3 C.J. Holt, 6'3 Chad Stephens. Soph. 6'4 Demario Williams, with a solid class beside him and a solid junior class also. Losing 3 starters off this years team but with this group might be better at the end of next year.

I have seen the 4 freshman at Culleoka against Marshall County and Tullahoma, They are for real!!!!! All they are missing is a point guard of their calibur. The twins have really improved from last year. Two of the four have contributed a bunch on the varsity.

If I am not mistaken, Slatten came in the year after Vincent Yarbrough left and took them to the sub-state round at UTC with a much less talented team than was there than when Vincent was there.

Although Bruce Slatten loves Perry County and still has alot of ties to the community I will give you 5 reason why he won't go back: 1. Demario Williams 6'4 soph 2. C.J. Holt 6'3 fr 3. Antwane Beach 6'6 fr 4. Shawn Beach 6'6 fr 5. Chad Stevens 6'2 fr This potentially the most talented group of young players that Culleoka has ever had. Three of the five are playing alot this year.

CA played a great defensive game. Culleoka is very good team. But they got little production from their main scorers Vasek and Williams. And Culleoka played bad as group. However the biggest suprise was the play of freshman C.J. Holt and Antwan Beach for Culleoka. They can be very good for Cully in the future. Congrats to CA for playing well. Ingram is a very good player for CA.

First of all I was at the game and saw this: Independence could have been called for a foul every trip down the floor. They played like thugs and threw some very cheap shots in the game from start to finish. You also weren't complaining on friday night when you were pressing Cannon County with a minute to go up by 50 points. Maybe you and your coach need to learn some class and just admit that you lost the game.

Have they scrimmaged anyone? Who are their main players etc?

What were some of the results? Who played who and who won?

Would Gribble be eligible at either school? I heard that he didn't attend school regularly last year. Dotson was not seriously considered to stay at White County in any capacity when Slatten left. Also I don't think he got along with Gribble that well anyway.

Just one question about the 2008 rankings, where is Demario Williams from Culleoka? He was the freshman MVP at the Gomab showcase and on the all-showcase team. He is the real deal !!!!

What is the big deal about Bibb? I saw the state tournament game and they were not overly impressive. I think that McCoin does a great job let him do it !

Yeah TONY, thumb I was wondering what the job outlook was at IBM and Dell. I'm very interested in a middle management job, so I decided to look on the COACHT boy's basketball website to spot those jobs smartguy. I know that most of those jobs get posted on here so I was just seeking knowledge and you came to the rescue. Thank you for the insight.

Flemtone, I doubt that 'Coach Rachel' really wanted Shelbyville to win. I mean how silly would that be to want to play Shelbyville. This is just the White County people trying to save face because they had Shelbyville right where they wanted to the other night and they just didn't get it done. White County wants to be the Shelbyville of Tennessee so bad it can't stand it. I mean you are talking about a school that shaved a loss off their boys record so they could have a 'winning season'. I believe that loss was to one of the Clarksville schools in case those of you in Sparta have forgotten. So to say that Columbia was happy that White County lost is really, well, ridiculous!

Well, well, well, the most hated man in girls mid-state high school basketball circles rolls into White County for some fun at the Warriorettes expense tonight. I'm sure that the folks at White County will scream that this all-star team has beat us again but remember that Shelbyville has as many GOLD BALLS as you you have banners in that gym. Hey White County don't try to run another coach off because they didin't win the state!!! Also explain to me why that White County doesn't have one Gold Ball for all that talent they had in the 1990's.

If you can get Hatcher you had better get him. He is one of the top coaches in the state of Kentucky. He will do whatever it takes to be successful. The key for any coach that comes to Obion County is for the people there to get behind the coach and let them do what they are hired to do. I have seen them run off several coaches in the last few years and the legend Jim Whitby.

Did both teams have their football players? I know that Oak Ridge is still in the playoffs? What about Science Hill?

Those are some outstanding teams. But did the Whitehaven team win the state in 1985 ? Also here are some that I thought of the 1993 and 1994 BGA teams, the East Robertson teams of the late 1980's and the 1997 Perry County team. One of the BGA teams and the Perry County team went undefeated. Each had great talent and were well coached teams. Also the Union City teams int he 1990's were very good and also well coached as well as those mid-90's Science Hill teams. How about this for the greatest ever : the Linden High teams from 1955-57 who won the state 3 years in a row before classifications.

First off, let me say Demario Williams is the real deal!!!! This will be a fun team to watch. They are very young but they are talented. Also remember these 2 names Shawn and Antwan Beach both are only 8th graders but stand 6'5. They have improved greatly and could be a force soon!!!!

I guess with no replies on this subject that may tell you about the expectations with a very inexperienced head coach. However the girls have alot of talent maybe not the amount that has been wasted in the last 3-4 years. This will be an interesting season for the warriorettes.
