car troubles cost me from missing atleast the 2nd half...i had already got a call saying riverdale was up 21-0 and then had started making my way every once in a while, that wingt just shows up in a HUGE fashion. the warriors had already racked up 305 yards by HALF TIME. DNJ said Joey Lee had rushed for 65 yards on two carries by then, dont know how many he finished with. in the post game article it said DeQuinton Sherrill rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, whlie Aaron Ebalaroza gained 140 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries also as riverdaleman mentioned Smoots, i also want to give props to #11 Andrew Miller. he's the smallest one out there on the field starting at linebacker but played with alot of heart against oakland last week and i heard he had 6 tackles in the first quarter alone. did Howse have one or two INT's?

oakland wasnt seen on friday night cause riverdale was prob. the best team they will face regular season. trust me they are ready to run wild all over some teams in coming weeks (including your stars). your wondering now why im defending oakland but im doing it as a statement of what that staff is capable of you saw it at riverdale now you will see it there without rankin. they dont need recruiting and never did. im just saying your gonna see oakland turn into a state power soon because they have some of the states finest coaching for them. lol at people trying to stick a fork in riverdale cause they lost to oakland, even with all the streaks and everything i see no shame in it cause i know oakland is legit and is gonna do worse to these other teams. riverdale has all the talent they need and is beyond fine. some forgot there is a whole season to be played. coming out sloppy is no new thing (even did it in 04 against CPA later to go 15-0) and the 4 fumbles definately cost them. friday night wasnt at all about what they couldnt do it was about what they DIDNT do. oakland didnt shut them down by any means, game was alot closer than the score would indicate, and oakland fans have already cosigned this btw, lets try to get all 4 murfreesboro teams in the playoffs this year, since this is probably the last year it will be possible due to the playoffs changing with the 6A and such

these are probably gonna be your top teams right here...still was a game right til the end despite 4 turnovers by riverdale. warriors still had plenty of shine against a great opponent, just got to build on that and protect the football. glad to know also we can pass the ball descently no surprises here tho, mac brought a whole new set of standards to oakland. you can tell OHS is for real even by the way they conduct themselves on the sidelines. attitude is completely changed. the red looked awesome on them, everything. any oakland fan should be absolutely thrilled right now...train left the station and it looks like it will just keep rolling

riverdale whipped up on hillwood yesterday, no surprises and not saying much. didnt see them against MBA or whites creek. but they looked strong against a weak opponent. still no trouble finding playmakers, i think they have a very good team dont know the final score didnt stay the whole time. hillwood could do nothing on offense the whole day, except when given a short field due to a fumble they scored the first TD (passing) on their second possession

exactly where i thought oakland would be with this new staff. if they want it more week 1, i think they'll take it. not implying that the warriors are going to roll over. its definately one to mark on your calendar

dave sr. still in KY, dave jr. to coach with oakland freshmen. not sure about his future plans with college ball. btw, former riverdale player phillip stevenson is a varsity assistant at clarksville high this year, they play oakland week 2 i believe

btw, riverdales new home jerseys are awful in my opinion. looks like we are getting away from the florida state theme more and more and switching to a boston college theme unfortunately. im not thrilled about that i wish they wouldda got jerseys identical to our last ones with just stitched numbers added...i prefer the russell/nike gear they used to have over adidas, i think they are more of a soccer brand. just opinions tho, fortunately it has NO affect on stuff that actually goes on on the field, stuff that matters. they just "might" look a little less intimidating

their athletic facilities are top notch, and i havent even seen the gym ("gyms," know they have to have some nice auxilaries) yet. the school was built up (3 stories) instead of spread out like murfreesboro schools, they had plenty of room for everything. baseball and softball fields, football game field and practice field, and their track is around the practice field so that will allow the fans to be closer to the action for football. think they might have the best field in the state by their home opener, my fathers company is doing the sod installation right now, got about 40 more yards to go. btw, 2p, the new coaches at oakland i spoke of earlier are dave thomas and his step father kurt bagley who was a freshman coach at riverdale

btw, any chance WC loses some kids to the new Mt. Juliet hs? it is incredibly nice btw, INCREDIBLY NICE. nicest high school i have seen, but they definately need to widen their access road. lol, WC and lebanon dont have much of an access road either tho.

i'll have to ask darius...kinda hard to believe as there was a controversy with smyrna staff accusing him of recruiting and i even think some sort of meeting was called. he was only on staff at riverdale one year as a freshman coach i believe and that occured the year after btw 2p, another rumor is 2 more ex-warriors will be coaching with the pats this year, 2 good ones. i think just freshman staff tho

in a place like rutherford county, i dont see how this will work yet...im pretty sure all our schools will qualify for 6A

the ever elusive region 4 title will elude the bulldogs again this year...and i definately dont see yall turning it up in the playoffs as much as the couple previous years

i dont know why it was so shocking for everyone about locke coming to riverdale...ties to the program already, chance for a ring (instead of going 0-fer had he stayed that next year), it was a no brainer. nobody had to recruit him
