No one knows how Tyler is going to do on the next level, but we do know that on this level he maybe the best in the state. There are parts of Tyler's game that needs to improve, but that's to be expected. There is no high school player in the country that doesn't need to improve some part of their game. That's 4 Real!!!

You are right Pageman, Giles did lose those players, but trust me those players have been replaced with very good players. Tryce Nelson and Deron Garrett are good 3 point shooters and are very atheletic. Coffey's game has also improved greatly from last year. This year's team is quicker and is averaging more steals and 3's than last year. I don't think this game will be close, Giles by at least 20. That's 4 Real!!!

In my opinion, Page is probably the second best team in the district, but still very overmatched by Giles.Giles wins this one by at least 20. That's 4 Real!!!

Tcross, I have to agree with you about Catfish being jealous,but he's also mad and frustrated. You have to understand that every year Tyler and company walks through 10aa. Tyler makes Catfish so mad that he even talks about his own team(5'0 pizza face white boys). Let's try to show Catfish a little more compassion. He's had to deal with this the past two years and this year will be the third. Catfish stay strong. That's 4 Real!!!

Great game, turning point was when Smith fouls out with 1:13 seconds left to go in the game. Up until that point Giles was up by 6 and Smith was dominating every area of the game. Congrats to BA on a hard fought victory. Wright and Smith put on a great show. Next game should be just as exciting. That's 4 Real!!!

I agree, these aren't quality wins. Waverly may be a little better this year,but there is no team in 10aa that will beat Giles County. One of these teams may somehow play their A game against Giles,but in the end Giles will win. That's the bottom line. That's 4 Real!!!

I disagree with this statement. Giles County hoops has great fan support. In my opinion they don't cheer as loud as they should when the bobcats take the floor,but once the game starts it's a different story. I also go to many of the away games and we usually have more fans than the home team. To say that no one cares about GCHS hoops and that the town is dead is a little harsh. That's 4 Real!!!

This will be a great game. The team that controls the boards and has the least amount of turnovers will win. In my opinion, Coffey is the key. If he plays the way he has in the past four or five games,Giles has the edge. No one other than Wright will be able to stop him and Wright will definately have his hands full with Smith.That's 4 Real!!!

Giles lost the game to Wilson Central because of the 1-3-1 defense Coach Holt had them in at the beginning of the game. Smith was playing at the top and Holt was down low. Wilson Central collected all the rebounds. It wasn't until coach Holt went to a man to man defense that Giles County was able to cut the lead from 19 to 10 by halftime. Staying in the man defense and pressing was almost enough to win the game for Giles, but very poor free throw shooting prevented that. The 19 point deficit was too much for Giles to overcome against a good Wilson Central team. Giles County, in my opinion, should always start out in a man defense. They have good defenders that know how to play the passing lanes.That's 4 Real!!!

All outside shooters struggle every now and then, that is why I said you need to attend a few games. You also mentioned Brandon Wright who is the best defender in the state, Tyler put up 31 against him. I don't care where you sit, but you need to come to the games, then you want have to ask the same tired questions all the time. That's 4 Real!!!

Catfish, instead of asking questions about Tyler's outside game all the time, come and watch a few of his games this season and see for yourself. Tyler's outside game has improved, just accept it and be happy for him. That's 4 Real!!!

Oh, I forgot, all his points were not layups. He hit three or four 3's and a few mid-range jumpers. Smith had a great all-around game, scoring everywhere on the court with two or three defenders on him most of the game. That's 4 Real!!!

Catfish, Coffey is a good playermaker,but make no mistake about it,Smith is Giles County's biggest playmaker. Obviously,you didn't see the game. Coffey's shot was set up entirely by Smith. Smith drew the entire defense to him, then hit Coffey with an awesome pass under the goal for a layup. Coffey scored the layup,but Smith was the man. That's 4 Real!!!!

Coffee is a great player,but he's not as dangerous as Smith. Coffee has a great all around game. I'm not sure what his averages are, but I am sure that if he had the confidence to go with all that talent his average in points, assists, and steals would be up. In my opinion, coach Holt seems to be harder on him than any other player. He takes him out the game 95% of time that he makes a mistake. This does nothing for his confidence. His contribution to the offense and defense is much too valuable for this nonsense. That's 4 Real!!!!

The state's top senior in my opinion is definitely Tyler Smith. His all around game has improve tremendously. I had the chance to watch him in the SportsMed Shootout and he was awesome. The only part of his game that needed work was the three point shot. From what I seen in four games, that's not a problem anymore. That's 4 Real!!!

LCHSbaseball, you've concluded that Tyler needs to grow up, needs to get his priorities in order, will be kicked out of college in two years and that he's throwing all his talent away. Sounds personal to me. Calm down, relax and take a deep breath. That's 4 Real!!!

p Lchsbaseball, because you live in Giles County means you know Tyler pretty well and would you mind naming other sporting events you've had the chance to play with Tyler in. You're team played well,but got dominated by a more superior team.Get over it. That's 4 Real!!
