Owls win by 7. I think it will be a close good game. If SC plays the way they are capapable of then I will say SC by about 10 or 12. Should be fun to watch. Go get em Owls.

He got hit on his left hand, and was cut pretty bad. He went and got 4 stiches and has a fracture and chipped bone. He will play this friday though.

He had to have four stiches put in his left hand, and a splint on his pinky. But he will be OK , and out on the field for the owls, next friday night

I think the fact that are girls didnt beat lebanon, a poor AAA team,only by like 15 or so,isn't a good sign.Also to add that 4 girls fouled out, who see the floor alot doesnt help either. If they dont watch they're fouls they will find themselves in big trouble in this one. JC is well coached as usuall, and I don't think we will be able to handle the pressure if JC puts any on us, that is unless mo dribbles it up the floor. I watched some of the black and gold game Saturday night, and if Monica didn't dribble it up the floor for the gold team, there was usually a turnover. Good luck to both teams, but i think JC will proly pull it out. It's really a mental thing, if Smith Co. an get past the fact we haven't beaten them in forever, they might be able to pull it off, as long as they have enough players to finish the game.

SC's postgame isn't very good, they are a little small is the problem, they have some bangers, but lack size, it will be a tough game for them. Once Clemmons gets out of football mode, and in to basketball, they will be a little tougher, but they are still pretty small at the post psoition.

I agree with you sleep. I've heard a couple good things from some scrimmages, of some young players stepping up and scoring. Wakefield who is just a sophmore, is a good ballhandler and shooter. Nixon, Reively, and Dennis are starting to step up, and add the football guys Sanders, and Clemmons, who are back now, they will surprise some people.

Any predictions for the first game of the year. The Owls are young this year but are still quick, and will look to turn up the pressure on defense agian this season. JC a few starters I beleive, with Cassity running the show. Should be a tough game for the Owls, but I think they win by 5.

I see the owls are picked 6th for the third straight season in a row. Not surprising though, they did lose all five starters, but they have finished 2nd and third the past 2 years. I think they are the surprise team in this district. They are a lil bigger than last year, but young, and inexperienced, but still look to run and turn up the pressure on "D". And I will go ahead and say Smith Co. will be third at the end of the reguar season or tournament, with Livingston 1st and Dekalb 2nd.On the issue of Stinson being better than Cates? No way, Cates is far better, and will shut him down. He is the best all a round player in this district hands down, if he plays, I've heard if he gets a football scholarship, he wont play bball this season. Is this true? GO BOMB SQUAD!

SC is still small like last year. The guards are a little bigger though. They are young and quick. But definetly not as quick or good as the girls team. Ha. Think they can really be a top 3 team again. Livingston will be the team to beat. Hear they have some good freshman, who will probably see some playing time, to add to the suporting cast returning from last year. Dekalb will be # 2, as long as they avoid the injury bug. Coach Martin does a good job at gettin his scorers the ball. Randolph and Hooper are a tough team. Play hard owls, and even if some people think ya'll don't care about winning, everyone knows you do, or you wouldn't be there playin. Show em' up guys. Go Bomb Squad!

Think that upperman or livingston will win this district. If Smith Co. can find a true point guard to get the ball to monica, they have a shot, but ball handling has been a major problem. Hope Cannon Co. does well, Dodgen is a great coach, wouldn't be surprised to see him do some good things there. Best of luck to him, SC losst a really great guy and coach.

Great win today Owls! You got down early in the first, (by double digits I believe); looked like you regrouped in the second to tie it at the half. Then poured it on in the second half for the double digit win. Great TEAM effort! Go get Franklin Co.!

Does anyone know the score of this game and how both teams played

well considering we beat our selves against upperman, right now we aren't as good as them, but we were up 25 or so when the coach took us out with 4 minutes to go in the fourth, so naw, i guess we aren't even close to bein as good as york.

Well, sad that we lost the football game Friday; but, glad to get our football guys in the gym. Clemons, Sanders, and Bass will help. Maybe not right away, but in the long run they are going to make our depth stronger. Should be a good game with the Bees on Tuesday.

Coach T, I noticed on Smith Co. schedule, on Dec. 7 they are playing Cannon Co. (at home) but it is listed 3 times. The correct place of the game is in Carthage on Dec. 7. Could you please correct the schedule by removing 2 of the Cannon Co. games on that date. Thank You.

I agree...teams need to be able to play a little. Don't let the refs control the game; allow the players to play and make plays.

We play Upperman on tues., for our district opener. Any predictions on this game. I think we can come away with a victory. And what about there girls, there has been rumors they just have about 6 or 7 players on the team, and i've heard as little as 5. Anyway, I think our girls will move to 5-0 after tues. night.

Nope, Smith Co. and Macon Co. on Monday night had 102 fouls combined... 54 in the girls game, 48 in the boys.

Station Camp is a lot better team than they were last year and they were pretty good last year. I think we will have our hands full tonight, but i think if we shoot a lil better and get some decent refs, we should win. I just hope the refs will let us play tonight, unlike last night where us nore Macon could even breath on each other without getting a foul called. Should be a good game, look forward to playin against Coach Spivey and his Bison. GO BIG OWLS!!!
