I agree. Union City is the best class A team even though they arent there. There are 4 or 5 teams every year from west tn that if they played well at the right time could win class A. The problem is that they knock each other off and only two of them can go to M'boro.

In nashville they are on UPN 30. What about in west Tn?

I grew up in a small town where all we did was play ball. We didnt have any spring practice or summer camps in july that told us to do so. Our team consisted of guys that simply played the game together all the time because we liked to play and had nothing else to do. We would get into a gym, church, etc. At the same time our high school teams were very successful. Today, the closer to a shopping mall you are, the bigger disadvantage you have. Instead of going to the park or gym for a pick up game, kids are going to the mall, movies, clubs, and getting on my space and coacht. Instead of working on their game they are sending text messages listening to thier I pods. I believe the closer to big towns you get, the more distractions you have. . Just my thoughts. I could and probably am wrong but I am challenging todays players at the same time.

Friendship is that good. Especially when they shoot it well. They will be a team that can go deep in the post season.

Im from middle tn with no team in the tourney and the officiating has been awful at best. The lack of confidence when making a call has been funny to watch. They always have to look at the other officials before they make their call. They arent cheating for or against west tenn. etc They are just that bad. I have seen several of the officials before around our area and they arent even the best in our area. Who chooses the officials that call in Murfreesboro anyways?

MLK had two great players in K. Smith #20 and Johnny Lee #12. Bolivar has incredible talent and it was a great game to watch. Doc definately was the better coach in this game. If he had some of those guys, the rest of us in Dist. 8AA would go games without scoring 10 pts. Great year MLK. This will be a great game. Whoever the winner is will likely have to play Boliar in the semis and Raleigh-Egypt to win it all. This is the toughest route to a title but either team is capable of it. If Haywood dictates tempo they will win. If not, it will come down to the wire. If the score is in the 60's or more, Haywood wins. In the 50's is anybody's game. Under 50 MLK wins. Ive seen both play and my pick is Haywood 62-50 but I could be wrong and am pulling for the Royals. thumb

I thought the score of the Jackson County vs. MLK game was 59-19? How is that "playing with them". As for Station Camp, go back and look at the scores they had vs MLK. The first time MLK won by 22, the second by 14, and the third by 34. The second time SC was up at the half in their gym. The only time SC "played with" MLK was that game but at least they did it once out of three times. THe SC boys didnt play up to par vs. Upperman and some of them said that they didnt want to play MLK again. If thats true then thats a bunch of crap but Upperman will find out tonight how good MLK is. PREDICTION MLK 70 Upperman 20

The only way upperman gets 23 is if Doc feels sorry for them and calls the dogs off but dont bet on that. i say the final is 70-20

No doubt that having guys in foul trouble for SC kept them from getting in rhythm and there is no comparison in districts 7 and 8. District 8 has 6 or 7 teams that are better than District 7's top three but thats beside the point. The kid from Upperman was great last night and just took over and won the game. The tougher team won. Congrats to Upperman and Im sorry about whats gonna happen to you on Thursday vs. MLK.

8 AA is no doubt a tougher district than 7AA. MLK WILL win the region no doubt but the other half of the bracket is up for grabs between Lipscomb, Livingston, and Greenbrier. If the district 8 teams play well they could sweep district 7. No disrespect to district 7 but it just doesnt have the same type athletes as district 8. Go watch MLK and Lipscomb who will both win by 30+ against your 3 and 4 teams. Your 1 and 2 teams will be lucky to win vs. Dist 8s 3 and 4 seeds. That will tell you who has the tougher district.

District 8 will sweep the first round.

Great win for our third year program to go 21-10 so far and to finish 3rd in the district tournament. Greenbrier will beat the # 1 seed out of the other district. Go Bobcats and District 8.
