If William Blount played with the same intensity of their TV announcers they would easily win State. LOL If WB scores early it could be a rout....Heritage will continue yearly slide. If Heritage truly has a new attitude and plays well early....this may be an OT game.

Closer than most think... Maryville 17 Oak Ridge 13 Weather may be a factor. Maryville's passing and kicking game will decide game. Should be another great Thursday night game !

Watched the replay of this game last night...Did I really see the Bearden QB helping W Blount player with a leg cramp ? William Blount was leading the game in the 4th qtr.....a good sign for them.

Maybe...... Drop sub-state(these seem like just like any other wkend tournament). Allow any and all AAU teams to go to State Tournament. Have 1 for D1 and 1 for D2. Make the Tournament a big event that the girls and teams could feel good about, especially if Nationals is not in the cards. Could model like Nationals, opening ceremony, swap pins, guarantee #of games etc. This might get smaller groups that can't travel to Florida or Minnesota, to join AAU. Maybe..... Have team and individual camps for AAU members only. I think they're alot of quality AAU coaches in the state that would love to help do a camp in their area. These could be done on weekends during offseason (if there is an offseason!)LOL

Saw SD replay last night. HHS is fun to watch. They will need to improve on turn overs, dropped passes, and special team breakdowns if they are to win many more games. Will be interesting to see the offense against better opponents on the back end of schedule. Heritage 28 LC 14

Does playing at Bell Co give Alcoa an advantage this week ?

Do these schools pay tution for athletes ? All 3 have great academics, I would not blame anyone for sending their children to a school that they thought would help them better prepare for college.

Being new to travel ball....I'm a little confused. I see alot of teams that use Nike, Flight, swoosh symbol etc. How does Nike help these teams? With products, money, or just name. Thanks for any insight.

Good to hear that "Stinnett kid" is doing well. I hope she has an injury free year. WB, IMO is on the rise, looking at middle school and up they seem to have alot of talent.

Farragut looked good at MC Camp. If Maples fits in at Maryville they'll be good. Heritage will have to find some kind of post game cause some nights the 3's won't fall. WB & LC both have talented younger players. 1.Maryville 2.Farragut 3.Close race (maybe Bearden).

Could be same ole song...."Alcoa has got great new skill players, and Maryville has lost alot of players from last year. Alcoa by a touchdown." IMO History repeats.....Maryville wins.

Congrats to Tennessee Team Pride (a special group of girls)....they also won 9u Nationals Last Year ! Would also like to say Congrats to 10u Lady Diamonds from Knoxville. They won Div II at Disney in very convincing fashion. Tennessee was represented very well in Orlando this year.
