  1. Anybody else see the two Sycamore people scouting the MLK / Lipscomb game get caught for illegally videoing the game on an iPad? Against TSSAA rules, I believe.
  2. Unluckiest postseason tournament team: Lipscomb Academy. Had to play both teams now in the finals. Lost to CPA in District finals in double overtime, and lost to Macon County in Region semi-finals, also in double overtime. Good luck to both teams.
  3. Outstanding effort by David Lipscomb's defense tonight. Kept Pearl Cohn's offense in check all night. Only PC score came on a fumble return for a TD in the first quarter. Two long drives for TDs by DL's offense provided enough scoring.
  4. This was one of the best high school games (boys or girls) that I have witnessed. Packed gym with both sides loudly supporting their team - great atmosphere. Very well played game. DL just came up with one more big play at the end with a clutch 3 pointer. Congrats to both teams. Good luck to the Lady Mustangs at STATE!!!
  5. It was Senior Night at David Lipscomb. For the boys, they only announced how long they had attended DL for the 4 starting Seniors - 2 since Kindergarten, 1 since 1st grade and 1 since he moved to Tennessee in 8th grade. (The other Junior starter has been there since 1st grade.) The girls team has no seniors on the team, so there was not a similar announcement.
  6. Doctorno - I think Matt was referring to the trivia contest that a group of DL students won over a group of CPA students that was broadcast on 104.5. The prize was the Golden Plunger trophy. Team captain Keith Smith led the DL team to victory.
  7. DL 37-7. Dominating performance by the Mustangs.
  8. That “sorry†DL team from last year I believe finished 2nd in the district. They also beat the CPA team projected #1 above by 17 and 18 points, respectively. I’m assuming the Bradshaw kid must be really good for CPA to be projected to win it if they only return one starter of note and he is only a freshman (albeit a very talented one).
  9. I would like to thank the White House supporters who fed the David Lipscomb team after the scrimmage last Friday night. It was very much appreciated.
