  5. LOD, here's a link to the man in which the stadium was named. ROLL TRIBE! http://tennesseeencyclopedia.net/entry.php?rec=715
  6. Lost Old Dad - You make total sense, speed kills! NOT just on the field, but more importanly on the sideline. It;s time for our coaching to take it up to the next level! Thanks for that reply! ROLL TRIBE!
  7. This is for Lost Old Dad. I believe you aked a few days ago about coach Clark conserning his coaching history. Here's an article From TriCities.com that gives a good coaching resume for him written by BY TIM HAYES from BRISTOL HERALD COURIER; http://www2.tricities.com/sports/2008/sep/11/prep_football_graham_clark_always_a_warrior-ar-251798/
  8. I was reading on a Riverdale thread this morning and saw the below statement from Lost Old DAD concerning their coach's play calling; Coach has not figured out LOTS of things. Man has been neglecting the small details that determine a Gold Ball WINNER and one that CHOKES! I'm not saying that Clark choked this year in calling plays, but I think he did very well. The point that really came across to me was "small details that determine a Gold Ball WINNER". Weight room, skill, play calling, execution, dedication, just to name a few of our team's qualities are very good. But the reason it seems that we always come up short of a complete year are the small details of the game fundamentals. Such as; snapping of the ball, missed short field goals, wrapping up on tackles, dead-ball penalties, etc. I would hope that the DB coaching staff would begin to pay more attention to these "small details" and then I believe we would see the gold ball come up this way.
  9. You're exactly right Batman, many factors come into play this time of year into HS football. Changes in personnel, improvements in play calling are just a couple of things to mention. Big factor this time of year are field conditions, rain and cold can greatly affect execution. So a team that played well in hot weather may not play so well in cold weather and visa versa. We could very well see a suprise outcome in the Maryville-Farragut game, they played close earlier this year but add a little cold to the game and it could have a different outcome. To be playing this time of year is what we look for at the start of every season, makes the games interesting and unpredictable to a certain degree. Time for the Tribe to step it up a notch and to keep on rolling!
  10. Been watching high school football for many years and I must say that this DB team has more "team speed" than any I've seen. This includes the schools of the Big East, Big Eight and playoffs. DY is no doubt a weapon and has a very good future in store for him, but DB is no slouch for weapons also! Guess there will be quite a few people posting their opinions about this game and it's outcome. Looking forward to seeing the chin-straps snapped and hearing the whistle! DB wins this one, too many weapons in the Indians favor! ROLL TRIBE!
  11. This should be one of the better games in East TN. Will be hard-fought and probably be decided by one score, Farragut prevails.
  12. If there is a better player than Sean Seabolt out there, then he must be special! He should definitley be playing at the next level. He runs the triple option very well and is no slouch at defense. I've seen Devrin Young play and no doubt that he would be deserving of this title also. Let's keep these young men inside the borders of TN!
  13. Hey 92Dragon, Don't know the in's and out's of your program, but you and your team are a class act and have always treated us well! Wish you guys the best of luck and future success for your program however it works out. Peace brother!
