Alcoa @ Elizabethton--Semifinal

NO, I AM NOT SATISFIED! I can't imagine anyone would be satisfied with the coverage by the Daily Times from either Maryville or Alcoa's program. -

I understand that tickets are $20. each and that the bus leaves at 3:00 from the Middle School parking lot. You need to call the high school for ticket details and to make sure this info I gave you is correct. -

I tell ya, that strength, agility and conditioning training is tough! These guys work their tails off to be as strong and physical as they are. They earned their reputation!! -

Heh.....To the victor goes the spoils. Send Ryan Callahan a Tweet @DTSportsRyan They must be saving the Maryville/Riverdale article for tomorrow. If they put too much in one paper we can no longer refer to the Daily Times and the 'Blount Co Thin Sheet' -

You know MHS, maybe this has helped our kids because they get so little coverage. Both teams carry themselves with confidence (not arrogance) and a great deal of pride as they get their "cudos" from coaches, teammates and fans. They don't get the "big head" because their name is in the paper. You are right in everything you said and I can't really understand it. Until they started the Blount Today "Monday Morning Quarterback" section of the KNOXVILLE newspaper (which I still don't understand) our coverage was minimal at best. Even with that said, I would rate the coverage of these two teams as a 3 out of a possible 10. Maybe somebody from The Daily Times will read this and make some adjustments. Best of luck to Maryville Friday night; wish I could be there but will be in Elizabethton trying to help stir up a Tornado. Two championship teams on the same field, it doesn't get any better than that!! -

Old news at this point; Alcoa won't engage in any of that type activity. If any of the players do, Rankin will bench them for the remainder of the game. -

And Ooltewah???? pretenders? contenders? I have a lot more respect for the Farragut program based on what I have seen. It is unfair to Ooltewah's program because I have not seen them personally. All I have to go on is your representation and how you have negative comments about other programs. Amen to that!

Just talk, talk, talk, talk....etc. The kids will be the ones doing the talking Friday night and we will just be observers. I hate that the weather will be so bad for the kids; it appears as though we are going to have some miserable conditions for them. However, I will be there cheering for my Tornadoes just like the E-town folks will be pulling for theirs. Best wishes for both to keep the injuries away. Orangeworker, nice to talk to a fan of the opposing team that doesn't offer all the gab that is flowing all around us; I really appreciate good sportmanship and you represent your community well. -
We appreciate that, Elizabethton has a good team. Cogratulations to Loudon; what an explosive team with great heart, drive and ambition. These kids will go far in life.

I promise you Alcoa has watched all the film they can get there hands on as has Elizabethton! Its amazing to me how many people know exactly whats going to happen Friday night! Face no one on here doesnt have no idea whats going to take place,no matter how good Alcoa is Elizabethton can beat them and vice versa. You people act as though your life rides on this game, just enjoy the ride your team has given you. All I have to say is come Friday is going to be a great game and if Alcoa wins by 40 or Elizabethton by 21 both these teams will leave it on the feild and we should applaud them for a great year and given us something to talk about! And as for the Milan fans Alcoa or Elizabethton doesnt care about you this week your so unimportant right know your funny and kinda making yourself the north end of a south bound horse! Go Cyclones!!![/quo Good post and you are exactly right; all these predictions don't mean a thing. Two quality teams battling it out on the field; let the best team win and enjoy what these kids have given all of us "armchair qb's". GO TORNADOES!! -

Are there any E-town fans willing to give directions that do not involve "smelling" our way in?? -

If we can get away from our fascination with toilets for a minute (LOL), can somebody from Elizabethton give us Alcoa fans good directions to your field? Also, anything good to eat close by? Thanks. After that, we can continue with the toilet talk as long as we have some real toilet paper to wipe our behinds; don't care which way the water spins or if it spins at all -

You are right CoachSH; both schools have earned the right to play in this game and should be extraordinarily proud of their accomplishments. They have worked extremely hard to be in this position and both teams should walk on to that field with pride! We hope that both communities come out and support the kids and no matter what the end score is, these teams are champions. Best of luck to both teams and may both play a good game with sportsmanship and without injuries. Looking forward to revisiting the great town of Elizabethton; a great atmosphere and really good people. Do you know what time the gates open there? As I am a Tornadoe fan, I have to say...................GO TORNADOES!!!! -

Come on guys..........lets give this guy something to brag about..........HIS BAND Surely that is not the best thing he can come up with. Maybe I am mistaken, I thought this game was about the football team instead of the band......geez, where have I been? All this time, I have been rooting for the players on the field, imagine that! btw, I have seen this band and they are good; glad you acknowlege them -
