Well boys just like I have said the past two weeks, Polk came away with a win. Not only did they win, they murdered Central. Central didn't help themselves by playing terribly, but the better team won tonight. All you Kool Aid drinkers, that downed our secondary, where are those play maker's Central had? I sure didn't see them. Our secondary played outstanding tonight without there main DB James Bussey #85 for most of the game. I will admit I made a mistake on calling Allen #12 Favre Like. I should of said he was Steve Young like. Not only did he throw 2 TD's no picks, he ran all over Central's D, which i might add was supposed to shut us down. He had an 80 something yard run all over your supposedly speedy defense. And, to the guy that talked so highly of Ben Stiles, #75 Taylor Williams shut him down. Central looked terrible the whole night. They really made a laughing stock out of themselves, especially when Coach Goodin started crying like a baby and setting Polk up for an easy score right before the half. Thanks Coach Goodin . Also, you Central fans need to learn not break into our stadium before the game and trash our field that just fuels the fire and ultimately led to Central getting smacked right in the mouth. So velvethoop smack yourself. We just won and turned our swag on. I will leave you with a nice little picture that I took after the game. Good luck to Central for the rest of the year. Maybe you never played or coached football, but a team never eliminates all of their mistakes - NEVER. You may eliminate some, or most, but there will be others. I think the severity and quantity of them is waht you have to keep to a minimum. The mistakes the Chargers made against McMinn County weren't all the same ones made against Cleveland.....two different teams, two different offenses, two different defenses, two different nights, two different field conditions, two different results. Central pushed the Cherokees, but came up short. Bottom line was a "L". The Chargers played sloppy against Cleveland, and won. Bottom line was a "W". Yes, I still say Central is well-coached....probably better overall than last year due to discipline. And we all know that Polk is well-coached. Both teams are hard-nosed and both teams have some talented players. I still believe Central wins due to playing two games instead of one.....with one of those games against a playoff-bound 5A team. Hey idiot I played ten years so bite that, and you can't tell me after the way Central played Cleveland they eliminated any mistakes. It even looks like they created some new ones.

First of all Polk WILL NOT get behind early. Secondly if by some miracle that does happen, they will have no problem effectively passing the ball. They have good receivers and their QB has gotten better ten fold from last year. Central may have good corners but #12 can put the ball where he wants it and only where his receiver can catch. However, I do believe Central will be able to stop the deep ball but the 5-15 yard range Polk should be able to complete the majority of their passes. Can't wait for the game Friday see you kool aid drinkers there I will be wearing my red tinted glasses!!!!

Sounds to me like Central should of fixed the mistakes then and if they were as well coached as you say they are they would have. Just my point of view but I agree Central is much better than they played Friday. We will see if the coaches and players get it together. Either way Polk will still win but if they fix there mistakes it should be the game everyone was hoping for it to be. Which is a good ole Polk/Central game that usually comes down to the wire. CANT WAIT TIL FRIDAY!!!

Hmm as far as the trenches go if Polk contains Stiles they will easily win the battle down in the trenches. Polk's D line, from what I saw last Friday, will have no problems penetrating through Central's sloppy O line. But yeah I agree the mix of Blue Kool aid and Red tinted glasses makes for an awesome atmosphere. Cant wait for Friday!!!

Im from Polk county and I will be at the Polk/Central game friday. But ima believe the hype. Signal Mountain looks way to tough. Can't wait to see how they stack against South Pit. Look for SM at Murfreesboro in a few years. SM-35 LV-7

CENTRAL HAS MORE DEPTH????? Thats almsot as big a joke as friday's game was. Polk fields alot of there sophomores that are excellent young men and on top of that most of their starters share time with the other good players they have. Also Central may have more talent but Central will never in a million years play with more heart then a Derrick Davis coached team and THATS THE BOTTOM LINE!!!! And, it is hard to beat a team that plays with as much heart as Polk does.

Live on stats and penalties of other teams' games all you want if that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling and some false assurance. Velvethoop if you didn't think #12 was a good QB then one of two things is happening. One you are a liar and did not attend the Polk/Bradley. Two you are an idiot, and you are someone who does not either know who Favre is or you just do not know about football period. I think you are the #2 option and you do not know who Favre is and you do not know a flipping thing about football. Also while Hargrove is arguably the best player on our D, he still has alot of defensive weapons there to help him out. The only weak point on Polk's D is there ends. Also Polk is not one dimensional they just did not have to show there entire playbook against Bradley. Also, in our D's defense #5 would give even Central's fastest players fits. And if you watched the same game I did they quit giving him the ball because Polk shut him down after the first quarter. HINTS, the 20 unanswered points Polk hung on Bradley after the first. Central is also undisciplined compared to Polk and Polk is definitely the team with more heart and they are chomping at the bit to smash Central in the mouth. Look for Polk to come out strong and not let up the entire game. Then you kool aid drinkers wont have a thing to talk about anymore because when they beat Central this year, they will get started on there win streak once again. This game was plain and simple. Central won because of Cleveland's mistakes. If you take the same Cleveland team and hand a big helping of discipline and heart Central wouldn't have stood a chance. Central's D was pretty good especially Stiles but there offense was extremely sloppy. This is nothing the good ole Polk boys can't handle. And for anyone ready to jump on the wagon and say that Polk hasn't beaten anybody, well Bradley won 21 zip last night so I would say Polk beat a much better team than Central did. Secondly, the coaches also swap tapes of the game from the past week so they know who is playing and who isnt, who is playing well, and most definitely who there starters are. First of all Central may have a passing game. However, Polk's secondary looks ten times better then years past so let them boys throw on us. Also you kool aid drinkers are talking like Polk can only run the ball. Let me enlighten you. Polk's QB #12 went 6 of 8 for 86 and a TD and his pocket presence looks Favre like. On top of that Polk has an arsenal of running weapons. Lets see #30,#39,#33,#22 and on occasion #12. Plus they got some good looking receivers in #85, #10, and occasionally good ole #38. Oh yeah those first two receivers are the DB's that Central is going to have to contend with and trust me they are very quick and they like to keep the ball out of the receivers hands. One more thing the defensive interior is just as stacked as ever with #79 leading them. Bradley may have hung thirteen on us but after that it was a defensive shut down. This is probably something similar that's going to happen in this game. Plus we have the best coaching staff in the district and Central can't hardly ever keep a coach. Central is definitely not the better team in this game. Polk will beat them soundly this year haha. So I will wear my red tinted glasses to the ball game and watch my Polk boys smash them right in the mouth.

Just because Bradley hasn't been good in years past doesn't mean they can't field a good team. They do have 1200 or so kids. Anyways if it wasn't raining last year Polk would have won that game period. We couldn't hold on to the ball for nothing but like it has been said that was last year. There is no way Central will have the momentum going into this game. First of all they tend to get the BIG head. Secondly they are 0-1 right now and could very well start 0-2. From what i have saw and heard Polk is once again the better team in this game. I will give it to the Central kids they have gotten a couple over us the past few years but its time to end that. I was actually really suprised to hear that Central lost this one. But still very happy for it. Central boys better get ready for Polk in two weeks cause they are hungry for there first win in two years.

Lets see the classless people in Bradley county made me hate the Bears sooooo much. The forwards sending around in text message was ridiculous. You Bradley fans need to grow up. We didnt run our mouth we just did the talking on the field. And boy did we smash them in the mouth. However, good game both teams fought hard. Bradley's student section shouldn't have been so trashy but hey it makes for great football when the cocky team gets smacked right in the mouth. Can't wait for the game next year and I really can't wait to see my boys get ahold of CENTRAL.

Lets see this game is 2 weeks away but I will give a prediction on this one. Hmmm from what i saw of Central they are extremely tough even though they lost tonight against McMinn county. But, I have saw alot of Polk because i have been a Polk fan all my life and im going to be honest. This is one of the best teams Coach D has fielded to date. They have depth and the right mix of speed and size. The coaching is phenomenal and they beat a shockingly solid Bradley team tonight. That being said Central has beat Polk two years in a row and im sure they wanna keep the trend going. Polk is extremely hungry for there first win over their big rivals in two years. Im sure Polk would love to get started on beating them seven years in a row again. These two teams HATE each other. The fans HATE each other. On several instances I have heard fans wish players would die. Mean i know but still. These two teams do not mix. However, I think Polk's D is going to be a bit to much for Central to handle this year. And Polk's offense has gotten better threefold. SO, I am going to quit ranting and take the home team and my team Polk County. Lets see, Polk-28 Central-21 P.S. im being nice to Central on that score prediction.
