MJ Pride, why would I be upset at somebody that plays for the team I support? That makes no sense at all. I say that about getting on here because I know how players can get wrapped up in the extracurrical things that come with football on here. ie trashtalking. And don't even begin to ask how I would know; I didn't graduate too long ago and I played for Coach Lassiter so I know how these things go. By the way, I hope you don't too awful cocky. Yes you squeeked by McGavock and won a barnburner against Gallatin, but Whites Creek hasn't been scored on yet. You might want to wait before you get on that high horse until later in the season, alot of football left to be played.

1. I wouldn't say the consensus of Gallatin faithful on here called a 3 touchdown win. Yes, some did, but you always have that. So don't come on a high horse quite yet. MJ is a solid team, as is Gallatin, both are probably tops in the region, but that was a hard fought game (barnburner would be the correct term for it) that showcased to great offenses. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now and good luck to MJ against Whites Creek, they haven't been scored on yet. And as for the Gallatin player that is on here, I played not too long ago and all I can say is Coach Lassiter would be less than pleased with your participation on here. I would think you need to be focusing on Hillsboro instead, of worrying about MJ's next opponent.

SCBest, do you have any clue as to what your talking about? Not only is Gallatin and Mount Juliet in the same district, but they are also picked 1 and 2 by most people, including the coaches. This should be a great measuring stick for both teams. Im sure Gallatin and MJ had their equal share of mistakes in the first game, however MJ's are more noticeable because McGavock is a decent team that could capitalize from those mistakes. PJP 2 was terrible in every facet of the game except kickoff return, which is pretty surprising for a private school of that size. Can't wait for Friday for this one to be played out. Should be a good game with lots of people and a great atmosphere.

I'm not so sure about Portland leading the overall series with Gallatin. I'll stand corrected if someone can find the statistics, but as of now I have my doubts about that statement.

Thanks for the info. I've got high school football fever and I couldn't wait till tomorrow night, so for us Middle Tennesseans this is the only game tonight. (Unless you wanna go to the Oneida/Gatlinburg-Pittman game.)
