never notice a winning team's fan, griping like this. But, okay. We are classless. lol. We won't mention that ur players were grabbing the Peanuts of our players in piles. But, that wouldn't be classless......that would be because after seeing the girls available in the area, you chose to make advances towards our players. We do have a sexy bunch. hahaha. Invite us for homecoming again in two years and maybe you will get some dates. Dresden will hit you. Maybe in the back a few times, but never purposely dirty. Crapola happens. We hope there were no serious injuries on GC side. The GC coaching staff is a classy bunch and we look forward to hosting them next year. Good luck the rest of the year. good job Dresden! Great gameplan coach Hewitt. I am impressed with the turnaround of attitude by this team. Dresden still has to be more aggressive running the ball when they get ahead, but their passing game is top notch. I believe the running game will improve when teams try to shut down the passing game. 44, 12, 11, 23, 24, 86, 32, 72, 65, 59, 10....etc....what a great game. Completely impressed by the the SLOWWWW dresden outburst of team speed and effort on both sides of the ball. The starting defense was great. Special teams still needs tons of work, but I believe their coaching staff is already thinking of ways to fix any holes they have. The o-coordinator seemed to be flawless calling plays and I hope these kids keep improving. Dresden Football is back. Go Lions!!

Haven't seen West Carroll yet. Really would love to see this one too. Can't give score or a winner. Good luck to both teams. My guess is Greenfield at home pulls off the upset.

Dresden lost 43 to 26 and up until a punt block for a touchdown, it was a one touchdown game late. Should be a great game. Gibson looked great against humb. Looking forward to the trip.

A friend at the ripley/GC game said Gibson County shot themselves in the foot all night. Very fast and physical team. Should be a very tough game for Dresden. Gibson throws the ball very well and has a few very good defenders.

Union City will win by 21 points. Huntingdon is beat up playing better comp. I believe it takes its toll and UC pounds them into oblivion. Just a hunch. Union City will shut down the race horse. Should be a good first half

Point proven. Time to start a new conditioning and pre-meal program. That means days before, not day of for u folks in Greenfield. I have no dog in last nights fight, just had seen both teams and used my eyes. South Fulton has less talent, and a better team concept. Constructive criticism, not insult. I heard many excuses for losing to Dresden....less players....nope, dresden dirty.....shouldn't cause a loss or else everyone would do it, mexican food.....hmmm not going to go there, its either conditioning or the boys quit from Greenfield......and I went with conditioning to be nice. Sorry, if it offends, but I refuse to be pc when it comes to football.

What do you expect. With leadership problems like baby delk the character of the team has to suffer. Glad to see Cascade get it together for this game.

Thanks for being truthful in the comments. Yes, Dresden is back. Coach Hewitt has two very, very good coordinators and he has conditioned them kids enough to be competative against anyone. There is no quit in this team. They are hoping to get another shot against the very good McKenzie team this year. Hope the ball bounces right. The scary thing is this team will be better in the next few years. A great middle school team and a few good off seasons we expect big things. The Dresden community is backing this squad and are going to be traveling in full force next week to see the Lions play in Gibson County. High school football is the greatest level of football out there. Can't wait to see next weeks game. Go Lions, we are proud of you. Good luck McKenzie. Hope we get the chance at you again. The refs suck. Pitiful. Dresden turned the ball over 5 or 6 times and it cost them. Speed difference? Didn't see it. Fat boys quitting? didn't see it. Special teams .... saw Mckenzie kick butt there. 27 is a beast. Two sp. Teams or defensive scores made the difference. Every time Dresden got momentum in the first half the refs threw a couple flags. I seriously question the integrity of two of these refs. I am looking forward to the rematch. # 44 was the best player on the field. Dresden had at least two touchdowns called back. If McKenzie is # 3 in the state, and they were a good team, then welcome to the top 10 Dresden. You are for real. Kick the crap out of gibson next week. Love your guys' hearts. No quit in the mighty lions

War in the Lion's Den. Can't wait to see this one. Sounds like a lot of injured players from McKenzie are suiting up. Who would of thought this would be such a big game before the year. Strap em on boys and show you can play with the big boys. Go Dresden!!!

South Fulton pulls away in the second half because of Greenfields lack of conditioning. Kids make mistakes and I hope Avant pulls it together and helps S.F. A kid missing summer practice is as much a parenting or custodial problem as it is a kid. I would much rather have him with his team working towards being part of a community as running the streets. I'm proud of those kids at South Fulton for voting on the side of compassion. When I'm old, I hope these kids and this coach are the ones watching out for me. This isn't pacman jones. This is a talented, intelligent young man who is trying to EARN his way back on the team. Nothing is being given to him.....I hope. I'm pulling for you, young man.

The only thing gauranteed in life is death, taxes, and a lawyer ripping you off at some point. Go Lions! You can play with any team that steps foot in theLion's Den. The big uns in Dresden along with the many little ones have HUGE hearts and will leave it all on the field on Friday. Dresden will play with the #3 ranked big boys. Should be a very close game. Greenfield should win IF they hydrate and eat right. They have cramping problem due to conditioning and will play themselves into shape. South Fulton is just not the same team without Avant. Greenfield by 21 if they don't quit at half

Have not seen McKenzie this year, but I have seen Westview, so I am guessing McKenzie is in form. Look forward to seeing if Dresden can step up to play the big boys of Carroll County. I hope the Lions bring their best game. Could be a blow out if they don't. Go Lions!

Peabody was a good, classy team. Very impressive potential. Dresden played like @#$# on offense, but did give the qb's time to pass and make a few plays. Defense overcame a few very questionable ref calls and a couple awesome plays by Peabody to defeat the wave. Dresden's o lineman were gassed and looked more like the team that went 0-19 last year. The second half looked like two boxers trying to struggle through the final rounds of a slugfest. Dresden's defensive coordinator got his players to get in the most punches. Peabody's offense not only surrendered with two minutes to go, but even seemed to be running out the clock so they could shake hands with the defense that kicked their butts. Kudos to coach Hewitt again for conditioning and preperation. Offense will need to fix many holes and play with a little more desire up front to compete next week. Still, I can't remember the last time I've seen Dresden not play very well and still win. I'm looking forward to seeing them play Mckenzie. Should be a good match up.

Well, there you have it. The wimpification of football, even in football country. When you come to Dresden, they will hit you from snap to whistle. Just like in boxing, defend yourself at all times. One team conditioned better, lifted more, and hydrated and ate better leading up to the game. Kudos to Coach Hewitt and company for preperation. Dresden seniors finally got tired of losing and making excuses and left it all the field. Old time Dresden football is back. Not flashy, not speedy.....but tough, whistle to whistle football. I hope they keep it up, because the Dresden community deserves a team which represents the hard working, tough-nosed, god-fearing people of southern Weakley County. Keep it up Lions!

Dresden has a chance if they play aggressive football. Size vs a few athletes. Should be interesting to see if the team down 12-0 in the first 20 minutes of the game shows up or if the team that scored 34 unanswered points shows. After a 19 game losing streak, Dresden could have easily quit after a horrible half. They cowboyed up and played okay. If they can continue to improve under their new offensive scheme and play low off the ball they should control the game.
