Nobody makes second half adjustments like GQ. I would like to know the stats on scoring out of the half for Maryville. It has to be rediculous.

Actually they have. You have to go way back to 1995. It was before they moved up to 5A or 6A. I don't think the program had developed into what it is now though.

i am disappointed for the players and coaches. Worked real hard. Got better over the summer. O-line especially. To have the injury bug at this time of the year is hard to overcome. Great effort all the way around. Can't wait for next season.

Ok prediction time. We will need to play cleaner than any game than before. Can't turn the ball over and put even more pressure on our defense. Play smart, discipline, assignment football. Superhero stuff will not fly from here on out. The new guys have to step up and execute. The rest of the team needs to play their butt off for them. My prediction is that the Bulldogs win the defensive struggle 28-21. Go Dawgs!!!

Gotta love the playoffs. Each game is a one game championship. After your team wins it's like a breath of fresh air. Then the nerves set in for the next round. Go Dawgs!!!

Well said. We can encourage our children to be whatever they want to be. But we also have to be honest when they don't reach their potential or complain about not reaching their own goals.

I think we still be solid on offense even with the injuries. Defense has played lights out this year with the exception of the Oakland game. And played fairly well in that game until the wind was let out of the entire team with the loss of Turner. It will definitely be different with a new QB and RB. But it will be the same defense. Safe travels everyone.

It is true we are banged up a bit. But we are not out. Next man up. And they more than capable. Positive side is that our defense hasn't suffered injuries and has gotten better all season. I don't know much about DB. So I hope the DB faithful will fill me in. Safe travels to DB and your fans as you travel down I-40 to Robert L Raikes stadium.

It is true that we have lost our QB. Back up is more than capable. However we haven't lost anyone on defense. With the exception of the Oakland game we havent given up a lot on defense.

Evidently there was some miscommunication between the principals. Coach Williams thought due to the little scrum last year that the principals had agreed not to shake hands. That is what has been said on the coaches show this morning

Man the wife and I need to move back home. I miss it. So here is the deal. I know my Bulldogs are up against it tonight. We are huge underdogs. That's what my brains says. However I have been accused of not having much of those several times. So I am going to go with my heart. Bulldogs shock the world tonight. 28-27. Lol. Go Dawgs!!!

A positive for Smyrna is that their shouldn't be any pressure. If we lose we are still in forth in the region and host in the first round. A loss can't change that. A win and we still need cookeville to beat Riverdale to take third. So really their isn't much to take our focus from Oakland. Again we will need to play perfect and play all four quarters. Stranger things have happened. No one really gave us a chance last year. And both games came down to the end. Oakland has played lights out all season. We will need to force multiple turnovers and score every time we get into the red zone. Can't settle for field goals.

We will need a perfect effort. And some help from Oakland. It's been a disappointing season. Lost some games we should have won. Shoulda, coulda, woulda as the saying goes. But none of that matters. Oakland is a beast on both sides of the ball. Can not commit turnovers. Oakland will have the ball enough without our help. And can't get caught up in the emotions and commit those stupid penalties. It's gonna be physical for sure.
