Two qb rotation. One can pass well and the other can pass average and run well. Running game lacks a little but the "O" can still hit you for a big play. Defense is stuggling. You can get beat if you do not play LaVergne with your "A" game. This is the same team that beat Hendersonville after they beat Riverdale. May have been early in the season but that just proves you can not take them lightly. Go LaVergne!!!!

everyone was at practice this week. Bryson had a stinger friday. Practice seemed a lot more physical today. hopefully that translates to friday. my prediction 24-10 smyrna. as long as we do not look past this game. Ravenwood is playing for their playoff life as well.

Like the score but i see it brentwood 23 to 17. hope not. I would like to see all district 7AAA win friday.

Those teams in the beggining of the season are nothing like the teams at the end of the season. The pit in your stomach is called doubt. Bakery is closed no more cream puffs. Can You beat Brentwood? Yes, no doubt, if the offense shows up. No one questions your defense. They are good, real good. The question all season has been the offense. The three headed monster needs to get rolling early and often to take some presure of of Collier. This game is not going to be a blow out. But Blackman, in my opinion, is going in as the underdog.

Limbaugh good stuff. i know this is what you would like to see happen. To help clear things up, go to the TSSAA website. Select the sports tab, then football, then standings and ratings. Somwhere near the top of the page is the D1 wildcard standings as of now. This has every team that is eligible and on the outside looking in if the playoffs were to start today. however is does not have the quadrants/ brackest divided up. Go Dawgs!!!

When i heard what happened i could not believe it. But in 07 when Smyrna played at LaVergne the band hepled to ice the LaVergne kicker and keep the streak alive. He missed it by semitruck wide left and that game got Smyrna in the playoffs. We won by two. Bands can help. Don't get me wrong i am not defending what happened at all. They clearly had their own agenda. In some situations a band can help. They just need realize their role.

Same records. May mean more to Smyrna than Ravenwood. Any comments.

Another big test. If Coffey gets on a roll could be lights out. Blackman run game has to help the defense out. Never thought i would say that. 29 yards is not going to cut. This game is a true example of anyone can win on any given night. A real battle. This district is so competitive. Congrats Warriors!!

That is the great thing about this district. Every game this year has been competitve.

Congrats to Oakland. For Blackman great effort. Your defense stood up to the test. The next game is not going to get any easier. Coffey is good. Watched him for four qts make people miss and he runs hard. It is a different feeling not being sure if you are going to win. Three straight losses to the end the season is not a great way to enter the playoffs. Shake this one off. The great thing that still remains is this does not hurt your playoff chances. Congrats to the players, coaches, fans and most of all the seniors. Cody dressing out tonight was an inspirational addition. They played and coached a complete game tonight. No let downs. Some stupid penalties that kept LaVergne's scoring drive alive. Gave up a few big plays. But came up with the turnover when we needed it. Overall impressive. Defense set the tone. Offense kept thier foot on the gas pedal all night. Great win. Go dawgs!!!!!

Should be a solid win for the bulldogs. looked a little sluggish at practice today. We still have a chance to get in. We need to win against LaVergne first. Can't overlook this game. It is all going to come down to the Oakland game. Need to have to solid (blowouts would be nice) wins in the next two weeks. Build up some confidence prior to Oakland. Go Dawgs!!!!!!!

Bulldog86 come and join us for tailgating. I beleive the menu is chili and jelapeno corn muffins with nanner puddin. As far as the game. Another physical test for both teams. So much on the line for both. I really can't see either team pitching a shutout or a blowout. Dogs have to get out front early and stay there. Need to finish off an opponent when we get ahead. That has been a problem. Defense has to fill in the gaps. We have a few hurt. Offense needs a big effort and can not get down when things do not work out. Probably down to a fieldgoal. Just to correct your quote, Williams is NOT the defensive coach. It is Keesler and I am certain he is better than Wells. We stopped Blackmans offense with 0 points, it was their special teams that scored, and Siegals offense with 0 points also. Smyrna's Defense is STRONG. We lost last week with penalties, and a few pass plays called in last 2 minutes instead of pounding the running plays to run off the clock. Ensworth scored with 18 seconds left in the game. Mr Donkey you got me all wrong. Blackman is #3 in the state. Big difference than national rankings. I was not making it a morale victory. The point is a team that good and we we went toe to toe with them. Did we lose? I was there. Yes, but no one even gave us chance to be on the same field much less have a chance to win. That is the point. So i made that the example. Someone said we would not be around at the end and the game would be a loss for us by 14. In my opinion the game will be a lot closer than that. Like i said at the beggining of the the thread. Overtime. Problem with Blackman not playing thier last three games is they have to play them. Riverdale and Oakland ring a bell. But if Smyrna wins against Riverdale and Blackman stumbles against Riverdale and Oakland then thier furture is not in thier hands. OH NO, it would be----(dramatic pause)---- in ours. So yes that is why they strap it up every friday night and not get to take the final three games off. You are correct in saying it will be a good game. Go Dawgs!!!!!
