  1. First off Chatt Central is a 4A school just like sequoyah. I find it humerous how the football people get act like they're going against a "big" school when basketball and baseball have to play them every year to advance in the region. Should be a good game for a while. Notre Dame is terrible his year so not much stock to be put in that win. Blue fans also shouldn't forget that mcminn scored at will on central in the 2nd half. From what I can gather, if not for a reverse on a punt return (td) and a goal line interception, polk is 0-2. The team that wins the turnover battle will probably win
  2. From what I hear Polk thumped ND in a scrimmage this year. I know its just a scrimmage and im not incinuating that MC is the caliber of PC, but i dont see the chargers struggling in this one. If ND's good players hadn't gone to Ridgeland, i might think otherwise. Central by 13+
  3. There will be lots of 50 cent millionaires at this game
  4. I really hope the Wildcats can pull this one off, but I don't see it happening. Bradley by 13 +
  5. With the addition of the new outfield wall, Walker Valley is a very nice facility. The most scenic view has to be Polk County sitting at the base of the mountain
  6. Sequoyah will make the state tournament
  7. Go ahead and beat on your chest little richard. It'll be fun in AAA in a couple years. From what i gather the 9 hole guy hit a 70 mph fastball out of your little league field with the wind blowing out. It irks me that the Sequoyah fans act like their team is Gods gift to baseball when they play one of the weakest schedules in AA and futhermore play in a little league ball park. Step up and play some better competition and beat the big boys and you will get some respect from me (at least play a challenging schedule). Beating Polk County by 10 is no huge feat. They are at best an average team that has overachieved in my opinion. The Chiefs are a very good AA baseball team all around. The Chefs have a very, very legitimate shot at making the State tournament. In fact i will predict them to go to the state tournament. Their pitching and top of the order hitting will serve them well down the road. I wouldn't be surprised to see a PC and SHS in the region championship either
  8. You people are crazy. Central is two years removed from a Sectional game and its time for a change??? Good players make good coaches. Look at it from this perspective.... If you lined up every player on Centrals team and every player on Sequoyah or Polk County's teams, how many Central players would you choose if you had to fill a roster of 9 starters???? Absoultly ZERO!!!! If you would would take a central player, then you have no clue about the game of baseball. In two years, Central will be good again and all will be right with the world.
  9. I was lucky enough to make it out to see the Chefs and Wildcats in action last night. A couple observations: 1) The Chef fans were much more civilized than i have seen them in years past. So cudo's to you guys. 2) The baseball team still conducts themselves like a bunch of softball players. The rah- rah bush league stuff is embarrassing to the game of baseball. Yes, I could hear the comments being made by the chef players and they ARE STILL THE MOST BUSH LEAGUE TEAM IN THE STATE. With that said, the series was just like i called it... a split. Good luck to both teams in the upcoming tournaments.
  10. I haven't seen the boys play this year, but from what I can gather from a few people that know the game is that Central doesn't have any talent this year. To be honest, with out Moses and Cowart, they haven't had talent the last two years either. When you start 3-4 freshmen you are going to take some lumps along the way. Im sure some of the young guys will mature into good baseball players too. As a Central alum, I think its time for some parents to step back and face the facts that their kids just aren't very good athletes. Talent pool is as bad at Central now as it ever has been. THE CHARGERS WILL BE BACK
  11. I have never been beaten by Sequoyah at ANYTHING (golf, baseball, basketball)!!!!! Sequoyah was taking beat downs from Central long before Polk County ever came into the picture. You Gumps can basque in your short lived glory all you want, because when you guys move up to AAA in 2013 you wont have a prayer to compete in any sport.
  12. The Chefs had STATE on their mind last year when E. Hammy sent them packing too. They are one of the most bush league teams in the state which is a product of one of the most bush league athletic departments in the state. Fans and players alike are an embarrassment to athletic conduct. Last year you would have thought the chefs won game 7 of the world series when they beat polk county's #5 pitcher to win the district championship. Im not saying they have a bad baseball team, but I am saying they are mentally weak and will choke again when the big lights come on in the region and sectional.
  13. If Polk County catches the ball, they will at least split. Polk has played a pretty tough schedule. They wont be scared of the Chefs.
  14. I say the two teams out of District 5, Sequoyah and Polk County will be playing in the Region Championship.
  15. Did sequoyah beat Cookeville?
  16. Sequoyah and Polk will be the top two this year. Chefs couldn't hit 1-9 last year, so I don't see how they possibly could this year considering the bat change. Its gonna be a down year for 5-AA
  17. LOL I'm quite sure God didn't care who won the state championship this year, and he won't care next year either
  18. Coach Derrick's team???? Last I checked central doesn't recruit. It's not college idiot
  19. I think the Mr. Football award is fine where it is. High school football in this state is too watered down with all the classifications as is.
  20. The devils line will dominated his one. I say Greeneville by a lot.
  21. First off chuck, I hate girls basketball. Second, how much football other than polk co do you watch a year??? I'm a grand scheme of things kind of guy. In the grand scheme of things polk co football is pretty irrelevant. I want the wildcats to win, but for some to get on here and act like they belong in the same conversation with the big boys is a joke. Go ahead little red train blast me I don't care
  22. Congrats to CAK on advancing to round three. Yeehaw is a dunce. His football iq is on the shortbus route. You play to win the game. The fact that a polk fan said " at least you have your pride" sums up the program. The inability to make the 3rd round says volumes about the talent in polk county year in and year out. If you couldn't do it last year, you sure as heck won't do it next year either. I'm not trying to knock the polk football program but I think a majority of their posters on this site need to get out and watch some quality football. Bradley central hahaha, go get a real measuring stick
  23. The fact that you mentioned stats in two consecutive posts prove to me that you don't care about them hahahaha. I have a question, what age do you quit caring about your name being in the paper?? I did about 7th grade. Maybe that's just me
  24. Knockemsoxoff you hit the nail on the head chief!!! Rumple your grandson is without talent (that's the only way I know how to put it nicely) and is part of the problem... Not the solution
  25. It's not a football problem, its an across the board lack of athletic talent at the school right now. The blue will be back... Hopefully sooner than later
