Very true comments! I agree 100% ! I believe you will see this happen sooner than later. New coach adjusting to team and team adjusting to new coach, but talking to Millingtons coach he seems to be thinking that way.

I didn't see where Millington's offensive line had much of a problem. Didn't they run for 250 plus against MUS? As far as stopping the pass, the Trojans coaching seemed to make some good adjustments at the half as MUS didn't seem to be near as effective with the pass in the second half. I believe that Millington will be just fine. Remember, they're not playing MUS this week!

I attended the CBHS/ MELROSE game Both teams seemed to run the game well. Melrose seem to get away from the run which in my opinion hurt them. CBHS turned the ball over 3 or 4 times keeping Melrose in the game. It's was 13-0 CBHS with 3or4 min to go and CBHS turned the ball over and Melrose put together an impressive drive scoring in 5 plays and a min and a half. Then Melrose recovered a beautiful onside kick with a minute plus but was unable to score in time. All in all the game was rather boring until the last 3 minutes. I believe with a couple more games under there belt Melrose is going to be a lot better than people have been giving them credit for!

Will there be any pre-game activities at the Bridges fri or sat night? Also will either of these games be worth driving out to see?

Here's a question. Why hasn't the Millington administration selected a HC yet? I realize that they are trying to be thorough ... but it seems to me that they could have made a selection by now ... unless they are considering going after a coach who is still coaching at the present moment. Otherwise ... what's the hold up? What's the rush? It ain't like they need to get out on the recruiting field!

First I would like to say Thank You Coach Hawkins for so many years of dedications to the kids in our community. It takes a special person to be a school teacher but then to give up almost half of your life to go beyond your regular job to teach young men and women outside of the class room is remarkable. Thanks again! Now lets be respectful and show some class while we comment on this topic! And just for the record, I think Mr. Michaels would make a fine Head Coach!

Very good game. Both teams played great Defense. Millington moved the ball well on the ground, but couldn't get anything working in the air. Wooddales receivers made more the one awesome catch. Great talents. Millington gave up the "big" play a couple of times which was probably the difference in the game. One of the hardest hitting games I've seen in a while. Congratulations to Wooddale. Trojans, hang your head high, you guys play a great game.

They beat Bolton in OT 7-0 and lost to Craigmont in regulation 7-0 and then to Arington in OT 10-7. I'm sure that's what you meant. But a good point made either way.

I know your from T-county. But the words in the previous post are saying that same thing.

I am so tired of hearing this from certain Millington fans. I really hope you are referring to things other than turnovers, because if you don't think Arlington had anything to do with those turnovers, you suck at watching football. Sorry I have offended you BMack and your tigers. If you would have someone read you my post maybe you would understand that I was not taking anything away from the Tigers win. It's almost like you can't believe ya'll won. They did what they had to do to win and it worked. Arlington won Millington lost. Arlington was the better team. It's going to be ok. I don't know what else to say so not to upset you. I will say that was some unique defensive strategy from the Tigers. I can't say that I have ever seen a game plan to where you intentionally let the Offense smack you in the mouth up and down the field and then at the very last minute "BANG"! you cause them to turn the ball over. And not just once but three times. Very impressive. Us Trojans aren't a very good team so if we were to try that "D" we might want to try to cause a TO as soon as we could and not let the offense think they were beating us. I'm sorry. I tried to seriously talk football but you bring out the funny in all of us. Chill out dude, Ya'll really are a pretty good football team. I promise. Good luck this week!

Dynasty31, I'm not trying to make any excuses for why the Trojans lost. I only post the facts and the facts are the Tigers beat the Trojans! The only point I was trying to make was "the Fact" that it was embarrassing to get beat when you dominate every aspect of the game! Notice that statement was made with the "FACT" that the stat.numbers don't lie. The mistakes made had nothing to do with Arlington but everything to do with the Trojans discipline or lack of. All this point was being made to say that if the Trojans fix theses problems they can upset Wooddale. Which is what the topic is about, Millington vs Wooddale! Sorry! I guess I could have used the stats from another game but that was the last one the Trojans played.

First of all I believe Webber is going to be a star at the varsity level. However I don't believe the young man is ready for the caliber of talent that he is seeing at this point of the season. Yes , I agree he is faster than anyone on the varsity team now but he is not use to the type of speed and pursuit from a D that he will see in the playoffs. They need to just keep doing what they do, but do it mistake free (TO's & penalties)! They flat out ripped Arlington's D apart on more than one drive. Dominating on first downs, time of possession, total yds (all rushing for Mill) and turnovers Lucky for Mill that Arlington had a single run go for 92 yards or Arl. would have lost the yardage stat 325 to 145 and still won. Now that would have really been embarrassing. Take away just half of the mistakes and Mill wins. At this point in the year the team with the least amount of mistakes win, Period!! Oh yeah,, and for you so call Millington fans that are bashing and some that are making personal attacks on our coach. You need to take that up with him face to face and not on a public forum.

That's nothing new to Indy, because if I'm not mistaken they to were a very young school in 2007 when they went to the State Championship Game!

Bartlett beat Craigmont 28-0 Cordova beat Bolton 16-13 Melrose beat Whitehaven 27-6 Germantown beat Overton 35-6 Kirby beat Ridgeway 18-3 Arlington beat Millington 10-7 in OT

I say Cordova/Bolton is the biggest game followed by Craigmont/Bartlett. You have three of the four teams playing for a possible last chance effort to get into the post season. Although I have to agree with Gochief on the Arlington/Millington game being big due to the anticipation of the Defending District Champs taking on a Arlington team coming off a 1-9 season to accomplish the unthinkable perfect 10-0! With that said I believe Bolton handles Cordova by two scores 24-10 While Craigmont's D will be to much and they take Bartlett 28-7 Ridgeway in a close one over Kirby 22-20 Whitehaven just a tad bit more talent to take Melrose 26-20 Whitestation out plays Mitchell to a 24-18 win FACS over SBEC 35-14 MUS take out Briarcrest 45-7. That's all folks!

No reason to be talking about what we got coming next season. We were talking about what we had coming this season back in the summer. Craigmont took care of business. They attacked us at our weak spot on the first play of the game (by the way Arlington will do the same) and we countered the same as we do every single game. If were playing a team that "the same" hits their weak spot ,WE Win! but if if it hits a teams strong point We Lose. There is zero adjusting. So lets give Craigmont the credit and congratulations they deserve. And that's one without the "buts" and "ifs" with it. CONGRATULATIONS Craigmont! Great Win!

I'm 100% sure you are right in your comments referring to the other Millington fans not thinking like this person. We have all the respect in the world for all of our competitors and wish them the best. Especially Craigmont and Arlington.
