  1. This year's Perry County team is BY FAR the strongest team they have had in many, many years and its only Spring! I look to see this team ease away just a little bit from the ol' Run-n-Gun style and come out and hit a few teams in the mouth. The defense will be BEAST. Trying to run away from a good solid tackler this year will be inevitable. No predictions yet, only high hopes.
  2. Wow.. Very surprised to read this. As for the fans that is just not right, as for the players I would think Coach Rice would have a better handle on the kids over there. I was really anxious to get on and see how the scimmage went. I guess I will have to determine next week how the two teams are shaping up.
  3. I have heard pros and cons to this QB they have.. You said they have been hitting the weights hard, what are some of their numbers?
  4. Taking Tucker first pick would give you the #1 Defensive player in the region and top 5 Offensive player. Yes taking Tyler may give you a better Offense but overall my pick... Mercer! This kid a freakin athlete! I have never seen footwork like this kid. Amazing speed, amazing hands, amazing desire to win. Enough said.
  5. Phenom, I do not have a set "team", I do reside on the PC/WC county line. I like a few players from PC, a few from WC, and one or two off of CW.. I have yet to see an actual team play in this region. There are too many kids going after the plaque rather than the Gold Ball. I hate to see it happen, but if any of these teams have a light bulb go off in there head and decide to play as a team then they will be my pick to take the R6 title.
  6. I just think it will be tough fo the Raiders to bounce back from such an emotional year last year, granted they may build up to something in a few years. But guys this isn't a movie, they are not gonna go undefeated they probably won't get to a 500 season but I am all for these young men fighting to prove their spot. Who do they scimmage in spring?
  7. Personally, I look for Cornersville to turn some heads but not as many as some may expect. I plan on them taking care of business with the weak teams, (ex. loretto, richland) sneak up on CWood and maybe CA, and get plundered by Wayne County and Perry County. I expect Rogers to have a breakout year, and still shakey on what Stocstill will do. I will be keeping up with them among other R6 teams.
  8. They lose #8 WR, #4 WR, #10 OLB, #60 DT, #86 DE, #24 WB, #6 K, and I'm thinking there is one more but not sure.
  9. Heard that Jacob Tucker (PC) has officially been diagnosed as "out for season". How does this effect the district standings as a whole?
  10. Coming off of a number of firsts for the Perry County program, how do you think they will progress or... degress?
  11. well if u want to base ur decision on the first few plays of a game after one team had not played in two weeks so be it. what answer will wc have for thunder and bolt when they hit the holes made by a big o-line Was not impressed by Jo Byrns one bit. Yeah KA is good but that's all they had. Losing Tucker from PC is equal to JB losing #44. If you take away a teams QB, MLB, LS, K, most all purpose yards player, team leader in tackles, and The team Captain... They are gonna get blown out. I wouldn't judge ANYTHING from that game. I'm still taking the power backs of WC over the Jo Byrn Ashabraners.
  12. Wayne County wins this one. Jo Byrns can't stop the Cats' offense. Jo Byrns couldn't stop Perry County's offense when Tucker was in. As long as Rice don't get hurt the Cats take this one home. WC-35 JB-21
  13. Jacob Tucker for Heisman! This kid is the real deal and only a Soph. I enjoyed watching him play 4 or 5 games this year. I follow his stats on the Tennessean website, ending the year with 2000+ passing yards, 700+ rushing yards, 110+ tackles, and 27 total TD's I believe. If you haven't seen this kid play I'd be finding out where he plays first round of playoffs. There aren't many players like this kid still in the game.
  14. The Jones kid is back in action this week, I think he has a tear in his shoulder but is gonna tough it out which really will even out PC's OLine. I think it will be colse to start with, PC has a tendency to start games off slow. They turn it on second quarter, jump aboard and watch the show. These kids are fun to watch, they love to play and love the game. It's High School boys.. Take it all in. PC-54 CornDogs-19.
  15. If I remember correctly Moore County had a big upset last year with a win over Wayne County. Anyone feeling any Deja Vu? MC 18 Champs 14.
  16. Tucker, Mercer, and Kimble strap this Viking squad and roll into Wayne County and take the win. PC 36, WC 21. On another note, the Tucker kid potential Region MVP?
  17. If you are really wanting to look at stats to determine the whole outcome of this post take a look at the Tennessean website. Sophomore Jacob Tucker of the Perry County Vikings, 1797 passing yards, 606 rushing yards, and 93 tackles. He runs, he throws, and he tackles. What else could his team ask for?
  18. UnderDog0 is sticking with his name, record wise Mt. Pleasant is the underdog in this one and that is who I will take. The Tigers have had struggles this year with injuries and on/off field incidents, but they pull it together this week and put up 40. Cornersville has no one on "D" that can bring down the outstanding "north-and-south runner" in Tisby. The equation is simple, few turnovers = a win. Too many turnovers = a barn burner. Can't wait to read about the outcome.
  19. UnderDog0 is sticking with his name, I'm going with the Tucker kid from Perry County. The Tennessean has the Sophomore listed for 1,300+ passing yards with 11 touchdowns and only 2 INT's, 550+ rushing yards with 4 touchdowns, and 80+ tackles.. His team has been down in years past but is looking for a playoff spot this year. What do you think??
