Amen!!! Just think of the grip these kids could have on a ball, after years of conditioning and the work-outs they have dedicated to their hands, fingers and thumbs from these gaming systems. If dedication was put toward some (ANY) sport like it is towards Gears of war, Black Ops, MW2 etc. Look at how many beast would emerge from the east. Think about this? Look how white these gamers are, boys get out and get some sun or at least a tan line. You can be picked out of a crowd. These are the best years of their lives and they don't even realize it. Yeah, 96 and 07 10-0 Johnson Co. stopped us last year the 2nd go around and in the first opener games in 06 & 05 & South Green stopped us in 95. These fellers should be proud of where there at right now and I'm sure they are, but it's not over yet, Total concentration on 1 game at a time and take no one for granite. They have a good team and determination, just play it every time and every down until that last horn sounds. Make that cannon ROAR a bunch on the last 2 home games. You're right, the running game is still the best way in my book. avg 5 to 6 yards per run = 1st down with-in 2 to 3 plays = yardage = TD - may not be as quick as throwing for yardage, but then you have to figure percentage of throwing/compleations vs running lol man that made may head hurt. to much math. lol

Just from observing what I see is sometimes when blocking they will block someone once and think that's it and their job is done, some need to know and learn it is ok to block the same player twice, stay with him, you don't have to hold him, but stay with him to keep him off the QB or runner. Really I think a lot of it is; they are afraid of getting a flag thrown if they stay with a player for too long. also I have seen completed passes to the receiver and our players would run down the side line with him and the defense would be on the ball carriers heals ready to make a tackle and no blocking was done, They need to learn it's ok to knock him into the crowd to defend and protect the runner as well. But this is coming together more and more each day, each week, each ballgame. As for the coaches, they are great and have the best interest for these boys; you have to admit something is right! Their winning ballgames. It's the determination and want-to of each player on how far they will go. Just saying: you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.
