Since I commented on Wayne County's first game, I'll comment on the last. They are just too beat up, injury plagued, and lack the depth to make a deep run.

Who was their competition?

I'm not a fan of private schools, nor most of the students and parents affiliated with them because the majority of the ones I have encountered over the last 30 or so years have had their noses a little too far in the air, but public schools recruit too.

At this point, it could go to anybody depending on who works harder than the other this off season. Teams like WC and PC have often said, "We have So and So and Such and Such coming back," but that means nothing if they don't do anything to improve. Also, you never know when someone might quit, move, drop out, get suspended, kicked off, fail, or get hurt.

Nice try, but I'm not a Wayne Countian. Perry County will no doubt have a good program next year. They should win several games. However, their main worries should be Collinwood and Wayne County. How will PC's ground game be without Mercer?

Lord knows Cornersville can't do it.

WC got drilled by Lawrence County in 5 innings. WC not looking very good. That's not as bad as the 14-0 beating they took last time they played each other.

Any of these guys playing in college this fall?

The old system would be nice, but it is doubtful that is what they will do. The Z Plan was all about the TSSAA getting fatter wallets so you can bet whatever they do will be about the same thing.
