Great point here vision great point...... 1-2 against a Tenn High team that had supposively 2 D1 athletes... not very good statistically if i see it the right way........... U know it really don't matter what those athletes that went D1 where they went if we're discussing who won the game last year anyway? Like you guys always say its played with 11 at a time not 1 or 2. By the way trailblazer, that was a great point about last year when Tenn High visited Boone with the Downs and Chandley matchup, u could just tell from watchin that, that game was Boone's to win with the thrill of it being their senior night.... But enough talk about the past, lets get to tommorow night........ We all know that DB will be favored over Boone, BUT if Boone wants to hang around and have a chance in the end, What does Boone have to do to give themselves the best chance to Win the game? My o my the Boone DB matchup. While most dont realize Boone and DB are 1-1 in big 8 conference meetings. And all u DB fans werent u all saying these same types of things just two yrs ago when Boone rolled into your little precious J Fred Johnson stadium and WON!!!!! DB got more money than they know what to do with along with some 2,500 kids while Boone was fighting just a few yrs ago to keep certain sports in the school because of the finances at a county school with some 1,400 kids.... Im not makin excuses im just stating facta here and with all that Boone came out on top just a few yrs ago helpin lend DB their first losing season since 86 I think, just saying that IT IS POSSIBLE. Now do I think Boone will win, maybe not but im excited for it..... Will give my predictions later in the week....... Im not sure im with u on the numbers thing because Jenkins ALWAYS has a couple players playing both ways and alot of special teams...... Even when I and many of my teamates played under we all went both ways as well as special teams thats wht JJ always conditions his teams very hard.... Betsy 31 Boone 3. Trailblazer is jua statin how he feels, JJ will get em turned around and if they can get em a W this week, who knows maybe they can follow that up with a W in their home opener against the Valley...... Sorry to hear that bout the falcon player, prayers going out to him and his family..... Is Rider still the coach at Volunteer? How have they looked this yr? For ppl that have seen them? Hows the D the O kickin game and what not? Do they take care of the ball? Boone hasnt so far..... In 2 games Boone has 10 points along with 10 turnovers..... Dont care who ya play cant win like that...

I agree just give Boone time I believe they'll play there way out of it.... It dont matter if u have Tony Dungy as a coach if u dont have good players to work with.... Boone wins this week, will give my score later in week.... The rest of the season may go like this.......... Wins against Volunteer, Central, Crockett, South (maybe)..... And lose to Happy Valley, Dobyns Bennet, Science Hill, Tennessee High..... So im sayin 4-6 at best, I hope its better but I went last week and we looked rough but I still believe in em, if they can turn it around they can MAYBE squeak out a 6-4 or 5-5.... Boone Pride!!!

FUB it aint coachin ill tel u that right now, trust me ive played for this guy, most underated coach aroumd..... Two yr ago when Boone went to the third round, won ten games (most in school history) he done all that..... One vote away from winnin caoch of the year in that conference who he lost too Stubbs at Tenn High, who may I mention his team beat Stubbs and them in the second rnd...... Last two yrs Boones won 19 games, most in school history and second to only Elizabethton in wins in that two yr span out of the Tri-City Region ...... So its clearly not coachin buddy

Boone sucked tonight plain and simple, not the same team as the past two years.... No energy, no effort, and definately NO heart... Somethin better change quickly or its gna be a long year and when I say that I mean 2,3,4 wins at most.... But Tenn High had there share of struggles from wat I hear didnt they Cap?

I can handle the truth but sayin Cherokee will out coach Boone ia not right man lol... Trust me ive seen these situations .... Boone will prob struggle against pass and we may look for a high scorin afair... If Boone dont either get pressure or mix up the coverages every down, which should happen if Jenkins' hadnt changed his ways of coaching and im positive he hasnt, it WILL be a very long nite just like last week for Boone.... No blow out, Boone may not win but no blow out, look for the D to send pressure with disguised cover 3 and cover 4 looks and some man free or zero coverage to confuse the QB

As a matter of fact I have played for Jenkins at some place and time.... Hes not one for gettin blown out and doin nothin bout it.... The latest example I can think of was two year ago when Tenn High blew em out and come back second round of playoffs and beat em.... Jenkins teams always come bck strong.... 7 on 7 will be goin on alot as so inside lineman drills for toughness in the trenches!!

Was not at the Boone game last friday... Heard from some people that it wasn't worth goin to anyway..... Sounds like the defense needs to step up and work on the defensive passing game and the offense can help out by moving the ball down the field some, Berry (Bestsy QB) is a great underated QB who was apparently very successful last week and the QB at the helm for Cherokee (Ryans) will be no slacker as well.... But i guarantee you Jenkins will have those secondary kids doin 7 on 7 drills every single day in practice this week, trust me i know he will... Should be at the game this week if everything goes the right way, can't wait to see the boys in action..... Since I'm from the area i must pick the boys in an upset.... Does anybody know of any team the positions lost and how many from each team? I know a few from a few teams but some of u others will be able to help me. DB: losing the QB not sure after that. How many O linemen? Science Hill: I no of there top 2 recievers i think and the linebacker that went to Tenn Tech. Tenn High: QB, RB, FB, WR, 3 or 4 linemen, TE is back, how many D linemen? at least 3, FS, anyone else? How bout your dang punter, dang can he kick it. Boone: RB, WR, not sure on O line, DE, 2 LB, and a CB. South: QB, RB, 2 WR, how many O line? 2 LB, SS, anyone else on Defense? Volunteer: The fast reciever and QB and that was really the only good players and there both gone. Sullivan Central: Best QB in the conference is back, dont know a whole lot about them, does anyone? I agree with FB on this one. People are going to be expecting big things from this group since last years season and they return quite a few as well. Those players who u have mentioned FB are tremendous athletes and whom some are 2 sport athletes with Chandley and Connell as 3 sport athletes. They are all competitors and that group of Seniors will be hungry to get back on the gridiron. . Especially when the Blazers travel to Death Valley in week 2 i believe. This is the only team not only that they didnt beat last year, but coach jenkins from Boone has never beaten his ole team. O yes the Big 8 conference. By the way for the people that were wondering Boone srimages at Sullivan East this evening at 5:30. Should be intersting to see how Boone comes out after there stellar year last year. That group of Seniors is a special bunch if u dont no much about them. They have had success since there freshman year. Boone may not win every game but THEY WILL compete in every game this year. My prediction is Boone goes 8-2 or 9-1 this year with a good shot in the playoffs. Hope to see the big 8 as competitive as it was last year. good luck to all teams. Who is the best team in the Big 8? Certainly there isnt much consistencey from any team thus far. Some teams only have 2-3 good pitchers on staff and after that its not much. Science Hill has Dino of course and the good freshman, DB has the Brandon kid, TN High with Mullins and Cunningham, Crockett with D-1 Freeman and Marty, and Connell with Boone. Anybody else that should be noted? Did i read where Boone threw a freshman against Science Hill and won? Sounds like Boone may have a good pitching staff for the next couple years.
