  1. Go to CoachT home page, and print out the complete bracket from this day forth. It is in Adobe Acrobat format, and includes everything on one sheet of paper. If you're like me, you might need your reading glasses, but it is a job well done. It's called "Road to the Championship", and it's available fo all classes.
  2. Region 1 Champs(boys & girls) will both be at home against Region 2 runners-up for sectionals. Region 2 Champs(boy & girls) will both be at home against Region 1 runners-up for sectionals. Other regions square off the same way during sectionals, to decide who goes to state. (3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8, etc.) BOTH teams from Region 1 can get to state by beating BOTH teams from Region 2, or vice versa. The same is true for the Girls brackets, so it is possible for Region 1 to place 4 teams in the State Tournament, or none at all.
  3. Then I must assume 4 things: 1 - Iverson is the only athlete with tendonitis 2 - The sleeves only come in full length 3 - Bright white is the only color available 4 - Iverson never intentionally trys to stand out in the crowd I apologize if I have misjudged the young man.
  4. UNIFORM! Look it up in the dictionary! Not Varying, Alike, Even. On the court is no place to make a fashion statement, it's a place to show TEAM leadership. The best I can remember, Patrick Ewing was the first to wear a teeshirt under his uniform. The excuse was that he sweated more on the floor than any other human being. Allen Iverson is recognizable from any side angle blurred photo because of his long white underarmored arm. Hot dog players have always been around as long as I can remember, and I can't see the days getting any better anywhere in the future. However, indecency is absolutely taking it way too far. It may eventually come to a class action law suite from the fans. We as a majority have our Civil Rights too. I want to take my Grandchildren to sporting events without worrying about whether they will be overexposed to real life.
  5. You might be right in Region 1AA. But I think Unicoi has a better shot at the finals than Sullivan Central. Cumberland Gap, South Greene and Happy Valley will all prove to be worthy opponents.
  6. The Blue Devil roster has not been entered for INSIDE Men's Basketball. Will someone please do that today? Thanks!!!
  7. I think so, but why would I say that? Claiborne has the Lady Bulldogs, Pigeon Forge has the Lady Tigers, Chuckey-Doak has the Lady Knights, and South Greene has the Lady Rebels! It just wouldn't make any sense! If the Lady Cyclones win Region 1, I will try to learn to say it properly during Sectionals.
  8. BTT = Back to top Adding a small reply will keep th post on the 1st page.

  11. Great job THE THE Lady Tigers? I told you I was tired. Now I'm starting to type just like I sounded on the radio last night. After covering 16 different teams in a 4 night stand, I had players scoring for the wrong team. Thursday night I lost my voice for about a minute or two. All I could do was squeak.
  12. You got that banner alright! Great job the the Lady Tigers, on a night when Nora looked pretty tired. I know I am tired too. I'm still trying to figure out why only 4 Champion starters make the all-tournament team. In Kentucky all 5 make all-tournament. If we were short on funds for 1 more plaque, I will be happy to pass the hat and throw in a dollar. Great job Brianna! Don't let aduld ignorance get you down!
  13. Oops! I saw this too late. I put all of that information over in the boys forum, but forgot that some might look here first. I broadcast the District Tournament over a network to expand coverage. I am usually on WLMU (Lincoln Memorial University) 91.3 FM and on the internet at http://radio.lmunet.edu. we also provided a feed to WCTU 105.9 FM during District, and plan to do at least some of the Region. I offered a feed to the Pigeon Forge station, but they said "No Thanks". They were already too busy covering Sevier County High. If you know Bill Burkett, or some girl named "Dolly something", give them a piece of your mind. If anybody knows of any other stations that would like a feed from Unicoi County, email me and I will try to set it up. It's just a matter of a phone call to WLMU for the other station, once I get the broadcast equipment set up and feed it to WLMU.
  14. Same here! I was treated very well at C-D this season. A really nice bunch of folks up there in Greene County.
  15. Girls: Claiborne 56 - Chuckey-Doak 40 Pigeon Forge 67 - South Greene 54 Boys: Cumberland Gap 47 - Union Co. 39 South Greene 72 - Claiborne 49
  16. Congratulations Lady Tigers! I don't think tonight was a showcase night, but good enough to win by 13 points. Rest those legs, sleep late in the morning, and go take care of business in Unicoi County next week. All of District 2AA will support you along the way, so go make us proud.
  17. Congratulations Lady Cyclones. I sure hope the regional finals pits you against Pigeon Forge. I'm looking forward to that matchup. I'm following the Claiborne girls to Unicoi Co., but I'm arealistic old codger.
  18. I did play by play for the Panthers on the radio this season. we're covering all district games, and at least Cumberland Gap, Claiborne, and Union County in Unicoi next week. Listen in on WLMU 91.3, WCTU 105.9 (stronger signal), or catch us on the internet at http://radio.lmunet.edu. We are also linked at the home page of our monthly local sports paper, http://www.pinnaclesportsview.com.
  19. Nice to meet you and ladtytigermom tonight! The Lady Tigers sure look like state champs from my seat. If there's a better girls team out there, I want to see them play. Good luck tomorrow night! If Kev shows up again, introduce us. Gotta go watch my recording of Survivor, then off to bed.
  20. Cumberland Gap had the 2nd best overall record behind #1 seed South Greene, and ahead of #2 seed Chuckey-Doak. The Panthers were 19-10, now 20-10. They were in a 3-way tie for 3rd in district at 10-6. They drew numbers earlier in the year as a tie breaker, and Cumberland Gap simply drew the worst number. Every team in D2AA had at least 4 district losses, and all except West Greene had at least 4 district wins. Call it parity, or call it madness.
  21. Don't let anybody get to you. I'm pretty new around here, and I'm just a camper because you usually have most of the stuff I am interested in covered better than I could ever do. I just log on, read your posts, and nod my head. If you quit, I will mess up more D2AA stuff than a team of mules can pull back in line. When the internet crashes and burns, and life flies into total chaos. I will blame you for quitting, and throwing things out of balance.
  22. Since you are already in the middle of all of the action, see if your local newspaper and/or radio stations are interested in paying you for a small column or sports report. You could take a few minutes each evening to reflect upon your day and put it into an update article. You have lemons, make lemonade. A 3-sports starter already has fans, so give them a quick look at life on the inside.
  23. A lot of coaches don't seem to understand that you do not have to play 5 subs at a time. If you have 3 or 4 starters in the game with 1 or 2 players that need more game time, you shouldn't blow a 20 point lead before you can call a time out.
