  1. I propose making it $15. There's an extra 20K right away. I don't think too many coaches would have an issue with that if it was earmarked as a "state venue" fee. Other possibilities are endless. I had to laugh at this one. Aren't you the one a few years ago that had to beg the State coaches for money so your team could come to the state tournament?
  2. I have been in the BIG MAC more times than you would know. My uncle ran the gym during the late 80's and mid 90's until his passing. All showeres were locked up because of different access through the gym. Dont know when you showered there but in the late 80's to mid 90's - it was not in the BIG MAC . I just wondered how many teams shower during the season at tournaments? COach Blair- how many teams shower at your tournament? McCallie? Soddy? Coach mann? BlackHorse? Ryan?
  3. DII better be ready to add more teams. Big news will be sweeping through in the next few months. Legis. council will be voting on splitting all privates and public schools. All Likely hood it is going to happen.
  4. Actually you are wrong at Big MAC. Locker rooms that had shower were locked because they led to the swimming pool. I have no clue at the round House because they never made it public that they had showers available. In theory, you make it sound good but not true. I even asked several coaches ( not all- just curious and did a small sample of 10-15 coaches) this weekend from across the state and all said that their kids did not shower at the arenas. they waited to go back to the hotel.
  5. I keep hearing about people complain about no showers. I can remember the State at McClellan gym and no one ever showered there and never once even was told at the Round House that showers were available.
  6. you are right Numbers don't lie.. 70% OF REGION 4 PARTICIPANTS QUALIFIED FOR THE STATE Region 5 36% Region 6 33% Region 7 40%
  7. Why could'nt you have a representive from each Region meet in Nashville the Sunday after the Regions were completed and seed from there.
  8. I do think that Blair has a good feeder program because they get kids from all over that are great wrestlers before they get to Blair Acad.
  9. Split was 1997. so according to my calculations that is 15 years ago.
  10. Congrats!!! Glad to see Tennessee Schools do well . Don't let the Russian bear see this because he will probably tell him his ALL American Status means nothing because he did not wrestle the "best"
  11. Thank you coach for your clearing the air about the proposal. Do you have the proposal that you sent ?
  12. The way it was presented to the coaches, TACA and TSSAA was A-AA have 4 sectionals ( like they did 5 years ago for the duals) and take top 3 in each weight class. AAA keep the same regions and take top 3. Rationale for the numbers : AAA schools have 67 % of total wrestlers in the State A-AA Schools have 33% of total wrestlers in the State AAA A-AA 24- Participants =67% 12 Participants= 33%
  13. Word is that his brother got 3rd in the NCAA last year. I know him personally, he's a good kid with lots of heart. However that match-up with Larry and Austin probably will not happen, Larry is actually going to wrestle 125 this year. WG, for a man that does not like to gossip- it did not take you long to make a comment about someone else other than Indy. Maybe his weight or who he wrestles is between him and his coach at Centennial and not for someone else to gossip about.
  14. California also have 1,236 high schools 1,823,599 Students in high school compared to Tennessee 318 High schools 912124 students that attend K-12 in Tennessee. Not a good arguement.
