what i think is rediculous is that there are only 4 teams in the small school state duels. there are 16 in AAA state duels. ther should be at least 8 teams in the A/AA state duels.

White House should send 2 to state or possibly 3.

white house did not wrestle

white house has improved greatly. this is the 5th or 6th year of white house having a wrestling program. never has white house finished in the top ten in a tournament before this year. and this year so far white house has finished 7th in both tournaments they have been to. last weeks tournament at mcgavock they were 14 points away from placing in top four without having their 275 and 189 (due to injuries) which both placed in the sycamore tourny 2nd and 4th the week before. i'd say we should give coach dawson the coach of the year award for turning the team around so quickly. they aren't a franklin, bradley central, or mba this year but maybe in years to come.

who won what in the 140-160lb classes?

is there going to be an open tournament next friday at the moc's gym in chattanooga like there was last year?

I'll make some predictions. The Beech 103 from last year looked really good. I could see him doing something this year. Nic Bundy will win at 130. Jim Klienhart will win it at either 135 or 140. The new kid at White House, Jimmie Childers, will be up top if he is as good as said. Spencer Sommers will take 1st or 2nd at 145. The Braden boy from Mt. Juliet will place high. He, I think, took 3rd last year at 103 or 112.

so there is no way he could recertify?

There is a kid that weighed in at 104 with 5% body fat. Is there any way he can get to wrestle 103? He is a football player that had a game the night before the test so he wasn't cutting weight at all.

what is the competetion like in the 140-160 weight classes? are there only a few returning state placers? how many qualifiers from last year returning this year?

is there any 112 or 119 that is outstanding? i can't think of any off the top of my head. i know the kid from indiana wrestling at white house has a good possibility of doing something at state.

here is my opinion: 103-? 112-? 119-plunk 125-bundy (my pick to win it all) 130-isbell (possibly bundy if he is on his game) 135-either shanes or klienert 140-tisdale (my pick to win it all) 145-carter, i dont know much about the cox guy 152-depends if johnson drops or not, or else freeman or morrell 160-johnson? or hebda 171-i think minwell 189-weakley (hubey?) 215-brooks 275-?

The best thing you can do for it is to ice it. I've had knee problems and to take a day off and ice it all day is the best thing to do. Although, if you got a cartilage tear you'll pretty much have to tough it through till the end of the season. ice for 20 min. at a time.

The region 7 duals showed that David Johnson dropped to 152 to wrestle Pease from Clarksville. Is he staying up at 160 or going down to 152 for regions?

I strongly suggest Winning State by Steve Knight. It talks a lot about the mental and physical preparations for matches and tournaments. I've read it and it is very helpful. It will teach you to be mentally tough.

is it too late to appeal for the 2%? if it is'nt then how do you do it?

Beech's 130, 135, and 140 are looking really good this year. Especially Tisdale. And from looking at the McGavock results Braden from Mt. Juliet is pretty tough this year.
