Sparky, maybe What You said is true, but his Happy Valley team won the District Tournament in 2006 and made the Region Semi's. They upset #2 South Greene and #1 Unicoi County in the district. That's not been that long ago.

The conference is wide open again. East, North, and Unicoi tied at 5-2, Elizabethton at 4-3, and Johnson Co, Happy Valley tied at 1-6(I think). Last 3 games for everyone will be interesting. Some top Matchups - East at Elizabethton, North at Unicoi, and North at Elizabethton. Maybe even bigger than those are the matchups those schools have with Happy Valley and Johnson County. Can they get through those without losing?

Yeah, he left the day of the championship game because his 4 year old son was in the hospital, he didn't take a week long trip to Disney.

Yeah, because that is fair to the guys that didn't go to Disney and did earn those spots when they were gone. You did good as a starter while your teammates went to Disney for a week, and missed 2 games, but you are back to a backup since they are back. Even though you were here working your butt off while they were riding space mountain.

I think their size was a huge factor. Not only were they in a 3-2 zone, but they had 6'7" hale out front, with the two 6'2" guards on the wings and then two 6'6" guys down low. Also, Christ School got some steals when the Mentor players would drive and look to kick out. Christ knew they wasn't driving to score.

Unicoi has already beat Grainger this year. At Grainger too.

I'm an athletic director at a high school in Tennessee, and that is not true. Now, TSSAA is looking at making a rule that would make a student sit out a year if they transfer to a school that their aau coach is also a coach at the school.

They did cut it to 12, with unicoi's starters on the bench. Just wanted to get all the facts out there.

They both lost by 20+ to Unicoi and East.

How good is UCHS's coaches? They all played in high school, at least 4 of them played in college, at least 3 of them has a father that was a high school coach and one of them was a head coach. So, what do you think? Can they get the ship going where everyone wants them to? Winning 7, 8, 9 games a year and making the playoffs? I believe they can if everyone will leave them alone and give them a chance. We haven't had but maybe one winning season and made playoffs once(with a losing record) since the early 90's. They haven't done any better than that but they haven't done any worse. They are playing a lot of young guys too. GET OFF THEIR BACKS AND GIVE THEM A CHANCE. I really believe that if we do these guys will get this ship sailing in the right direction.

Pretty athletic in all 5 positions. Not huge but has decent size. #12 - jr and #5 - so can shoot it and will from anywhere. #50 - jr is a good post player. He uses position and his body to score. Doesn't have great moves and is only about 6'2". The rest of the guys are good role players - #21, #22, #32, #30, and #23. They will play man and zone full and half court, usually play behind in post.
