  1. Well Hawk yes it should be but you never know. Just saying everybody has a home court advantage to some degree with fans yelling etc...but it is a different set of rules there.
  2. They have a nice post who uses her body really well and gets good positioning, have a good PG who is athletic and can take it to the rim and shoot it, also got a couple of other shooters as well. Kayla has done a great job with them. They have 23 girls I think. Just don't get rattled either. Pretty solid.
  3. South Gibson, Crockett County, Dyer County and Obion will all battle to stay away from Dyersburg. But I will say this. Dyersburg better not overlook Crockett or South Gibson. They both can play on given nights.
  4. Just said GC defense is legit. Dyersburg is loaded and they scored 73 on them. But that don't mean we are better than Dyersburg. More to the game than defense. But GC holding Bartlett to 40 is impressive. Bartlett will be in Murfreesboro. They are loaded too and will be a handful.
  5. Whoever has to go up there better hope their local refs don't call the game.
  6. I agreed with his rankings. I just said GC had a good defense. Dyersburg probably wins AAA. They are loaded. Never know how these games are going to turn out. Crockett County is a good team. We got beat fair and square. We needed to get beat. Hopefully they learn from it because Westview and Peabody will be tough for sure.
  7. I always told mine to always dream big and yes dreams do come true sometimes. Got to play every possesion like it is your last and see what happens. Single A is wide open for sure.
  8. I agree with you. I think the state all the way around this year will be maybe the most competitive in a while.
  9. Reason I bring up Greenfield is they have the Alford girl who is a scoring machine on the bench and a couple of others all hurt. They will be better when healthy. Mckenzie has Reynolds and Davis who are flat out awesome but can the other three handle ball pressure?? Big drop off after those two or it was this summer anyway. Wayne County is pretty good but are not dominant by any stretch. Wouldn't suprise me if a Pickett County or somebody across the river made a good run. It is weak. AAA is pretty weak too. AA is flat out loaded.
  10. I think Single A it is wide open. Wayne County, Mckenzie, Cloudland, Pickett County maybe Clarkrange, maybe South Fulton, maybe Greenfield when healthy, maybe Moore County....Lot of maybes and I may have missed some teams but that is a lot of your competetition.
  11. Dyersburg I would say is the favorite. Don't know if anybody will beat them. Livingston Academy, Upperman, Greenville and Elizabethton are down across the river it seems. South Side will be better for sure but they aren't what they were last year.
  12. Yeah the key for Huntingdon is they can probably play with any team around if Kee stays out of foul trouble. She has games where she misses multiple minutes and that hurts Huntingdon bad. They are a really good team when they are dialed in. If they get hot and she stays out of foul trouble they could be really hard to beat.
  13. We are playing pretty good. We will see how it all unfolds. Peabody and Westview both will be tough games every time we meet.
  14. Yeah I said same thing. Y'all played us with some young one's that really hustled and played hard just need some game reps. Glad yall are playing better. Coach McNeal and assistant are good one's. Hope y'all make a great postseason run.
  15. I said that early in the summer. Are there enough basketballs to go around. Lots of scorers and talent. Crawford put up 23 as a Freshman against us a couple of years ago. The others are big time talents as well.
  16. Your on key. McMinn, GP, York and GC all are tough among others. Thing about Gibson County that makes them so tough is their defense is so smothering. They gave up 40 to Bartlett in their win and Bartlett scored 73 on Dyersburg. Gibson County is giving up an average of 30.5 points a game and that includes the 52 points to Creekwood which the refs gave them probably about 30 FT's. I doubt Gibson County will ever go back to that 8 vs 5 place. Biggest home cooking environment I have ever seen. Peabody we played tonight and they can flat out play when they are dialed in. I agree AA is loaded. I do think it will be a great State Tournament this year and I think it will be wide open.
  17. See you automatically referenced this post that somebody from Gibson County made that comment. #goPioneers!! Gibson County, Peabody and Westview will all be tough outs for any team. Lots of tough teams. McMinn Central, Gatlinburg Pittman, York, East Nashville, Loretto, Summertown, Westview, Peabody, Cheatham County. Lots of ball to be played.
  18. Mckenzie's coach is a great guy. I heard he only has a handful of players.
  19. Their Jr High is loaded. Going to be some good days ahead for South Gibson.
  20. They have gotten better since the start of the season. They beat Westview so that tells you they can beat anybody on a given day. But I don't think they beat York and White County. They have lost two starters with ACL's one this summer and one this season but their future is super bright. Their Jr. High teams are loaded. Katie Embry has done a great job there. It will be interesting but I think York and White County both will be too much. JMO.
  21. I listened to it. Sounded like a great game to be at. Bartlett is tough. Gibson County beating them was a huge win for our program. Dyersburg is really good. Have to learn from it. You play these types of games you are going to lose some of them. Not the end of the world for Dyersnurg.
  22. Thank you guys. Good luck to y'all.
  23. Did Dyersburg and Bartlett play Friday Night?? Seen it was on schedule but there isn't a score.
