I will say this. Gleason controlled the tempo no doubt in the first half. We played some zone in the first half and Gleason made a few shots and they had some long possessions and we came out a little cold and wasn't a good recipe. We played man the second half and we came out of the gate and hit three or four in a row, which allowed us to press and get it going and obviously threw Gleason out of rhythm, IMO. I will say this. GC doesn't have any injuries but they have had a bug going around his week and our girls definitely wasn't their selves y day. No disrespect for Gleason because they played well.

It will definitely be another challenge for us. We came out of the gate a little cold today and let Gleason dictate the pace the first half. Thought GC down by 8 at half showed their true colors in what a good team is supposed to do and turn it up a notch in the 3rd and 4th. Always a good thing to grind out these wins when you don't play your best. I am sure Westview will try and dictate a half court game tomm.

No doubt. TCA is a good team. These girls work hard during and in the off season and I have lots of respect for and think a lot of the girls. I would be real happy if we played each other in the finals in Murfreesboro. Good luck against Crockett County tomm. Night. We have an easy one too. We have Westview.

I hadn't looked at the schedule. You guys beat Crockett County? Good win if you did. No doubt you guys got some players but she is the one to stop. Goehring is a good player. She just played behind Savannah last year. I just got reminded tonight that TCA won't be in our district next year. Didn't hurt my feelings.

Wonder how Macey Lee will play when see gets faceguarded the whole game? She better get used to it. Moore and Darby knows about it. Not just GC. But other teams. To beat Greenfield you stop Moore and Darby. To beat TCA you stop Lee. One advantage GC has. Who do you stop for GC? You start faceguarding GC players and defenders not playing help side defense GC takes it to the rim with the best of them and shoots in the paint and lay ups. These are just scenarios that will happen when the rubber meets the road. Will be interesting to see when coaches start getting serious.

Greenfield has a tough schedule but have you seen GC's schedule so far? Gleason twice, Dyersburg twice, South Side, McNairy, Dresden, Greenfield, Summertown, Westview, Huntingdon, Union City. I mean. Dang. GC had a player out today and one recovering and some more puny and we survived a dogfight with Gleason. They dictated pace a lot in the first half and was playing well. We were down by 8 at half and we won it on defense in the 2nd Half. 42-35. I see we will get every one's best shot. Hats off to Gleason. Played well enough to beat us.

I think they got a good shot if they play respectable offensively. Defensively I think they are the best in the state. I think they played their best offensively in a three game stretch in our tournament this past week. We play Gleason tomm. and if we win we will play the Henry County Westview winner. Just got to keep working hard. Keep in mind with their depth I don't think they have a choice but to work hard. If someone is not playing hard, he will put in someone else.

Clarkrange is tough as well. Summertown.....

You slow Chloe and Tess down you have a good chance against them I agree.

South Side and GC both play an aggressive in your grill type defense. Very important for both teams to keep the hands off the offense because some times you get away with it and some times you don't. I think both are pretty disciplined at playing quality defense. Both can play good defense without using their hands on the offense. But refs can be a thorn I agree you just have to adjust he way it is being called.

I think TCA has pretty good post play but they are not that deep. Alyssa Goehring is a good player. When you lose a post like Savannah Lee, you feel it. But I think Alyssa can play and will get better as the season goes. I will say this. GC and Greenfield look like the two best teams so far because they have both played a beast of a schedule and won against some tough teams. But TCA, Peabody, Gleason, Dresden and Union City are good teams that can knock either off if they have a bad night.

I will say this until I am blue in the face. Defensively, we are super consistent and are probably the best team in the state. If we learn to be consistent offensively and play fast as we were in the tournament for the most part, we are probably the best team in the state. At Dyersburg, we played slow all night. When i mean fast, I mean as soon as the opponent misses the shot the outlets sprint the other way and throw over the top before any one can get set. This is where we are dangerous. This is where space is created and 1) your shooters can spot up and shoot threes or 2) you can take it to the rim or 3) you can dish it off to cutters or posts in the paint for lay ups and 4) you can set up your press when you score. When you play slow and go stretches without scoring 1) you aren't scoring and 2) you are not pressing and wearing out opponent and creating TO's. Don't get me wrong. Ok to play slow at times to eat a little clock when we have a big lead but you still need to move the ball fast and make quick cuts and get the ball down low quick all to create space.

I am very confident this year in GC. These girls remember the feeling when they got knocked out last year and our girls vowed not to ever experience that feeling again. I believe in our girls and I believe they have and will give their all from here on out. They have an attitude from getting knocked out last year.

They played well in the tournament no doubt. Our defense is so nasty it keeps us in games even when we don't play well offensively. When we play well offensively and don't turn it over we will be tough to beat. Greenfield is getting better as well. Thought they played really good the second half of South Side and beat a real tough Dyersburg team by double digits.

Westview has 1, GC 2, Union City 1, Bradford 6, Gleason 3, Humboldt 2, Greenfield 1, Trenton 2. Lot of Gold Balls around here throughout the years.

Bench points for GC are way up there every game. They will be tough again next year. GC's program went from rebuild mode to reload mode. They have a ton of good freshman and 8th graders coming in. They will be loaded for 5 more years at least. Appreciate the compliments. They played our worse game of the year Tuesday and followed it up with three great games. When we play fast and don't turn the ball over, we are very tough to beat.

Coach was yelling at his players not the refs. Coach thinks refs heard someone in the stands. Coach yells at his players all the time and rarely yells at the refs. But I thought refs done a good job for he most part. Did a fantastic job compared to the Greenfield game last night.

They are good. We beat them in a scrimmage and they beat us in a scrimmage. They are very good when they are in.

No disrespect here. I lived in Middle TN for 15 years. Very good basketball in Middle and East TN.

We have played all three. Right now it is a coin flip, IMO. They are all three good teams and we will see how the season goes. Very tough to predict.

South Side is loaded. They have played lights out this tournament. It will be a big challenge for us the way they are playing.

Gibson County plays this fast I don't think any one beats them late in the year. They play lights out defensively and playing fast creates a lot of space for their shooters and their girls that attack the rim. They played with an attitude tonight and probably was getting Dyersburg back for the two practices they had after that game in Dyersburg. But Dyersburg is a good team and will be a team to be dealt with late.

Yeah we moved the ball well up the floor and played fast last two games. Very few TO's and shot well and played good defense.

South Side is playing really good AA ball right now. We will have to play well to beat them.

Sorry man. My phone internet has been messed up and I have been working concessions most of the day. I told Chloe's dad that Greenfield showed they are one of the elite tonight after getting behind and having one of the worse officiated games I have seen in a while and still having the heart to make a run and almost pulling it off. We played well tonight and last night but we played terrible Tuesday in Dyersburg. We will have our hands full tomm. Night as well.
